Having spent a lot of time in Vilnius I can safely say it's far from the cheapest city in Europe nowadays, however a great city nonetheless. Hope you checked out Trakai Castle when you were there!
True, it's probably changed since 2019. I didn't, gives me an excuse to go back at least!
Trakai castle is definitely worth a visit as is the town in which it's located, and it's only a 20 minute train ride from Vilneus.

Vilnius is absolutely boss, been there 3 times. There is a zombie experience you can do that was sensational, they have their own "country" in Vilnius called Uzopis with a statue of it's town drunk, a waterpark with a swim up bar in it, a bar that has a tree going through 3 (maybe more) floors, tremendous beer, great nightlife and loads more. Such a quirky and beautiful place too. It's great, you need to go!
Kaunas is also worth a visit .

Some articles from 2019 claimed it was, turns out it's actually not as cheap as it once was, varied quite a lot. Supermarkets were definitely cheaper for sure
