My girlfriend bought me one for 20 dollars . she said you can fix it up .I said I can ride them like a champ bout I have no clue how to fix them.Your video have me a starting point. Thanks .
Great video it was very helpful for me, your time and knowledge is very much appreciated. I do have one question though... What is that orange electrical component under the spark plug wires? It doesn't look like anything is plugged into it which is the same on my ski, so I'm curious to what it is. Thank you.
That is to connect your plug wires to when you are winterizing the ski or if you need to crank the engine for some reason and you don't want it to start while your working on it.
Great video! We just got a 1995 GTX Bombardier from someone and it just clicked when we tried to start it. between your video showing me where the solenoid is and some other videos showing how to determine if the issue is with the solenoid or the starter, I am confident we will be able to turn this beast over! I will keep you posted, but thank you again for the video.
Lonnie, how do you get the cover back on? It seems really dumb but does the rubber seal just sit around the bottom edge or does it go into the grooves on the top edge? I can't get the dang thing back together! LOL
This was helpful.. i had to change my solenoid and wasnt sure how to get the box out.. saw this vid then i felt stupid.. lol.. but it was vry helpful.. thx.. i got a 92 Seadoo
the variable trim box had about half a handful of sand inside of it and the motor looked pretty corroded so I'm guessing its done but going to try to fix it anyways. Figured checking the fuse would be a good start. If you have any suggestion please let me know as I'm open to suggestions on fixing the vts
Hello friend! How are you? I am from Argentina, i am repairing a Bombardier Sea Doo 750 , same as the video. I need to know what battery does this jet sky carry. Thanks . Grettings from Argentina.
Thanks for the video..well done. I have pulled the box out before and now might have to again. The engine cranks but no start , have changed the plugs...still no start on 95 GTX. Maybe the fuses ?
I have a question. So i bought a 1992 seadoo sp and there are no cables on the spark plugs. The wires are on the orange piece you see on ( i think it is) the crank case. Should i move those cables on the spark plug?
You da f**king man restoring my 93 xp got everything working, except gas gauge and trim, going to check those out , hope everything you showed is same for 93 thx a heap
Hello. I am currently restoring the same seadoo and I have found your youtube page to be a priceless resource. Everything is going well except the vts is not working and I'm in the process of changing the 7.5 amp fuse but unsure what type of fuse to get. I was thinking ATC fuse but not sure.
I have a 96 seadoo xp I keep blowing my bottom fuse in my back black fuse box with the starting silonoid in it I get power to gauges but I think it my fuse going to the vts box keeps blowing immediately the momoment power gets on I get no beeps with my keep like its not registered but power is on gauges and blow fuse instantly
Sounds like a short some where. I would unplug all the harness wires from the box and leave the battery hooked up, If the fuse still blows I would look at the starter for a shorted wire, if not then plug the harnesses in one at a time until you find the bad one. Also if you have a multi meter to use you can save your fuses.
You could have different issues. It could be the wiring, or it could be the gauges themselves. You will have to see which is bad by testing them. I would use a Multimeter and check the wiring first.
Disconnect your VTS from the plug and then try another fuse. If the fuse doesn't blow then you have a shorted VTS box. If this is the case you can take the cover off the VTS and see if water got in to the motor.
My friend i think you blowing your trim fuse. its a common problem! (for me) disconnect the cable from the trim in the back. And see if the fuse still blows out!
Picked up a 95 xp this summer for $350 (my first water craft I have owned) and your videos have been helpful. Thank you
I'm glad to hear that. Your welcome

Maybe the fuses ?
Are you getting fire to the plugs? If so, try spraying some fuel into the carburetor, it should start.
How do you know which plug wire goes where?😊
One wire is longer than the other and if that's not the case its a 50/50 chance you'll get wrong.

Great video..I have a 1996 seadoo sp that has a continous beep when running.
Do you have any idea as to what causes this and how do I fix it? Thanks
the vts housing and motor are also in the front compartment
Were do u get the vts housing at
I have a 96 seadoo xp I keep blowing my bottom fuse in my back black fuse box with the starting silonoid in it I get power to gauges but I think it my fuse going to the vts box keeps blowing immediately the momoment power gets on I get no beeps with my keep like its not registered but power is on gauges and blow fuse instantly
Thank you so much this video was very helpful
You're Welcome
So helpful. Thank you so much.
Your welcome
Ok so I found it in the front compartment. I unplugged it, put in a new fuse and it blew right away. so it must be a mpem issues?

my rpm and fuel gauge don't work but my oil light works when im running low on oil.
How do i fix the gauges?
All 3 fuses in the box are fine.
You could have different issues. It could be the wiring, or it could be the gauges themselves. You will have to see which is bad by testing them. I would use a Multimeter and check the wiring first.
Excellent video demonstration. Thank you.
Keep blowing the 5 amp fuse. engine won't click or crank. not sure what the 5 amp fuse is for. please help
When does the fuse blow? right when you plug it in, when you hit the starter or something else.
As soon as I plug it in
I disconnected the battery and then put the fuse in, as soon as I connected the battery, it blew right away
Disconnect your VTS from the plug and then try another fuse. If the fuse doesn't blow then you have a shorted VTS box. If this is the case you can take the cover off the VTS and see if water got in to the motor.

Great video. Was very helpful. Thanks
Thanks, glad to help.
Is there someone snoring in the background while u were filming? Lol sounds like it.
I think it's the wind not sure.
Ran fine two weeks ago when I took it off the water no problems
ok thanks for all your help
which plug is for the vts?
Under the seat on the left side when sitting on it. Go back to the VTS and follow the wire all the way to the front where the plug is.
Great video!! Helped a lot.
Blake Hintz Thanks!
great video, Thanks.
what is the 15 for?
It might have been for the starter. Not sure without checking it.
Thank you, this was helpful
