The lad can see and take a gap like a centre, very impressive ball carrying, never seems to get stopped or moved backwards. Powers through a wall of forwards, eish! Acceleration, speed, ball skills, power and aggression - classic traits of a no. 8.
I'll be watching more of him now. I'd like to see him in the lineouts, if he can master that, then he'll be etching at Duane's skills in a few years (he's only 22!).

Just saw a video of Paarl Boys High (RSA) vs Christchurch Boys High (NZ) from 2018 and lo and behold, Evan Roos at no 8 scored 2 tries.
That first clip was insane, he just ran with someone pulling on his back

Great player, would love to see him in a bok jersey, but he needs to be more disciplined. Very hot headed at times.
He's good,,,but let's see him internationally, against ABs, Aussies, England... There's a big difference there and he's not yet tested there. Big, strong and quick,,,I like that. But will he have the required mental edge of a Duane against serious opposition like the ABs. Let's wait and see. I think not selecting Duane is a mistake,,,don't think Evan should be thrown in the deep end just like that...Duane should be the first sub after 50mins,,,,just my opinion.
Don't worry about his temperament, he's a Boland Boerseun.
Duanes about to have knee surgery, I think. That's why he won't be in a Bok jersey soon.

Just another one season wonder. By next year he wil probably be injured and never get in the same shape he was and be forgotten. One good season don't make you a great player. Being consistent in every season and game does. Just my humble opinion
