- With Arlecchino's release, Candace C6 now is being recognized as being useful in the community finally! Which makes sense considering how strong her synergy with Arlecchino ended up being. It is significant enough that I personally consider it a buff. Having played this team for a bit now, I felt like I had to talk about how enjoyable it is using Candace in it.

FYI I think the reason the Kenkis didn’t move in that second attempt is because you used Kazuha’s skill. I’ve seen some others use it at the start to confuse the cryo one’s AI to prevent it from dashing. Think it has something to do with the height, so other characters that go into the air might be able to do it too.

@@_mako a niche "fix" is going double dendro when you have xingqiu, granted you'd need more ER on cyno, but having two dendro applicators can counteract xingqius hydro app

Hey small tip with Arlecchino against shields. Her charged attack has no ICD, meaning she'll eat through them with charge attack spam and occasionally poking with a normal attack when it's off ICD (with a Thoma shield, N2C worked like a charm for both shield uptime and taking care of electro shields). The benefit of this is that it shouldn't eat up her Bond of Life either and keep it without having refresh, and it also effectively makes it so you don't have to time things with bosses like Coppelius. Just poke whack whack poke whack then attack as normal.

@@Solunerra I found the duo completely on accident, they were on my friendship farm team together and I liked how her hydro app and buff worked with alhaithem so I started doing some play testing. It felt good not to have to use zingqiu/yelan and I guess now furina.

I actually LOVE this team. And while yes Xingqui or Yelan are better in single target scenarios, Candace does as well or even better than them in multi target scenarios (and I'm testing this with a C6 Yelan vs C6 Candace so I find that really impressive). I really wish people would stop with the X is better and realize that different situations call for different units and that's why hoyo give us variety.
Yeah the game is highly contextual, which is why Ive always focused on having some kind of idea and doing my best to work around that idea.
Oh, and I still prefer Candace over Yelan in single target. XQ is still relevant because of the dmg reduction and interruption resistance, but the ability to have shorter rotations makes Candace a more enjoyable option in single target for me, so I just dont think I care to use Yelan with Arle lol
@@SolunerraHow well does Candace fare compared to yelan or xinqiu in single target? Not considering defensive utility (C2 Arle is pretty much an integrated xinqiu defensive util)
IT's not just that. If you are like me who uses quickbloom on one team and also uses arle, if candace just was a second xq, then that is already amazing enough.

Zajef is the content creator who spread the gospel of C6 Candace, but i've seen a couple comments in Arlecchino's beta talking about Candace C6 being potentionally good with Arlecchino. Zajef isn't the one who discovered it, he is the one who spread the info to a wider audience because of his following
I got Candace to C5 when she was last on banner. I think around that time people were talking a lot about mono hydro Noelle and I always wondered if C6 Candace would work in that team (I don’t have Yelan). Noelle also being able to freely swap out and back in seems nice here.
I’ll be staying tuned for more Candace recommendations (polearms only or not).
I should play around with Candace a bit with Noelle. Ive been using Yunjin/Noelle/Furina/Yelan when I last played Noelle, but I like the idea of Candace instead. Only problem is Yelan's damage potential is much higher than Candace in a double hydro team, and you dont have vape to give additional scaling value to having hydro, so it comes more down to raw multiplier performance. But it still may work pretty well and be satisfying to play
it was just for fun, but I used her with Freminet to make a fun freeze team. Freminet's skill makes his basic attack have a cryo after attack is what I call and that means you can use Candace's burst to which makes Freminet have a hydro infusion and make Freminet do freeze with her basic attack and use his charge to shattered it
Thanks for showing me this team. It didn't really cross my mind to use Candace until i saw this video. And i just realized that i have her C6. I have to say, it's a very solid team.
for kazuha teams, you can do candace skill > kazuha burst > bennet skill+burst > kazuha skill > candace burst > arle. you swirl both elements and get some extra hydro application from kazuhas burst. I use this rotation with yelan and xing but I haven't built candace so I can't see if it'd be worth it myself.

@@naitikc2668 for xing/yelan yes, their abilities should be able to clear the pyro aura before swapping to kazuha. not sure about candace though. in abyss if her skill misses one of the enemies, you're gonna have to reset or skip kazuhas burst.
@@mizukichan999Candace doesn't have enough hydro app sadly, iirc XQ's skill has no ICD so he can apply hydro 2 times with just one skill and get rid of the pyro aura, and even if he does have ICD, you still usually use sac sword or his ult lasts so long that you can use it from the start (Edit: And he also has his rain swords that float around the character too), he has so much hydro app for some stupid reason lol
Yelan has her E and fast charged atk so it's enough hydro too
Anyways, Candace's dmg isn't as high as XQ, even less as Yelan, so you don't really need to shred hydro res, and the extra hydro app is nice with Kazuha, but that doesn't matter as much in AoE scenarios, which is Candace's strength over XQ and Yelan, and the reason as to why the combo seems so smooth with enough ER.
In ST scenarios tho, trying to infuse Kazuha's burst could be decent, but as you saw, if the boss doesn't have an annoying mechanic as Coppelius then it's easy to vape a lot of hits anyway :)

Not just usable, this is a “meta” use case! Its at its best in contexts like the current abyss, but due to the ability to have shorter rotations it can be even better in single target than Yelan is
@@Solunerra she is now lvl 80 6 11 11 talents with r5 fav lvl 80 too, 4piece emblem hp% hp% hp% but has 60% less er than yours at 180% :D

Hmm, I could probably record something. i was originally going to do so but Zajef had a ton of lag issues when playing on the account sadly. But I think I may be able to have some kind of commentary I could interlace within the stuff that he tried potentially, so I may still do something like that
I tried to use Candace way back before I managed to get xq and boy was I disappointed lol. Didn't help I only leveled her to 50 and 0 talents, and farming those berries was such a pain ( I was new) fast forward over a year later and now have her c6 and arlechino so started to build her up. Definitely happy to free up xq if Candace synergizes nicely. Thanks!

I've always been an avid Candace player, specifically as The Nilou DPS character ie. Full EM Paradise Lost with Kitain Candace.
On Field Candace.
And you already know she's even better with C6 when I can also do some NAs with Nahida or hell YaoYao or Baizhu while Blooming.
"C6 Candace is actually better than Yelan" is a very controversial statement.
You somehow don't take into account that Yelan has her own very good damage in addition to the damage bonus.
I don't know how strong your Yelan is, considering I've seen a level 16 feather on it, but my Yelan does 11700x3 damage on every Arlecchino hit.
I'm not even talking about how much dps you lose switching characters back and forth.
I'm not saying Candace is a bad character, but in a squad with Arlecchino, the Yelan is going to be many times better, and that's a fact.
Yessssss finally these people starting to use different characters. It is still a shame it has to be Meta but happy of Candace.
Soluna Can you please try sun fire plung Candace? It's gimmicky but really satisfying to pull off.
Advantages:
Xianyun and jean can battery each other and jean holds VV so that Xianyun can stack as much ATK as possible.
You can run full EM on Jean for swirl DMG (not the focus, but it's a good way to consolidate DMG and pyro application)
Short rotations and the cool downs line up very well
Disadvantages:
Circle impact. You need cracked artifacts on Candace because in my experience you can't get away with anything other than R5 fav on her.. (at least for good uptime)

The rotation goes like this!
Candace skill, Xianyun skill and burst, to Bennett skill and burst, Jean skill, Candace skill and burst, Jean burst, then squeeze as many plunges with Candace in the next 8 seconds as possible. Then finish with Candace skill (she really needs to squeeze in as many skills as possible)
Caution:
The timing is REALLY tight and you really can afford to waste a second of that sun fire uptime. So you'll have to execute the rotation as fast as possible. it'll be violent keyboard mashing 💀
And you need to overlap Bennett and jean burst rather well. Bennett's burst has a leap forward on cast, and jean's is direct deploy (and is slightly shorter) that's why start with Bennett's. (Also so you can remove the pyro with Jean skill to apply hydro with Candace then swirl it with the burst)
Build details:
Xianyun has maximized ATK, 2p shiminawa 2p gladiator. Triple attack with as much ER in substats.
Bennett same old boken da broken. Noblesse and high base ATK weapon (really the highest, Candace needs that ATK desperately. Lvl 13 burst is almost mandatory)
Jean has max EM and with favonious on VV set. (With three healers on the team, it's better to invest in her DMG rather than healing. and in my testing the good old swirl build the best role consolidation)
Candace needs to have R5 favonious to be able to proc it twice in her on field window (she desperately needs the ER).
Artifacts are EM, Hydro, Crit rate with maximum Crit DMG/ATK in substats (ER and EM are nice too, obviously). and in my testing, the best artifact set is:
2p heart of depth 2p nymph (because she'll be lacking in DMG bonus buffs)
Or mix and match 2p hydro DMG bonus and 2p EM (or even 2p EM 2p EM. ATK sands is better in this case)
So.. as you see it's a really packed build and requires some REALLY insane artifact quality and multiple R5 favonious weapons to keep up with the ER without having to go for ER sands.
Buuuut leave it to Soluna to adopt niche and gimmicky but fun builds for underplayed characters. Hahaha

Loved the video. Now I'm wondering, how does Candace work with Navia? I know she's played with Furina, but surely most of those synergies with Arlecchino should still play over.
I'm kind of inspired to play around with her again. I've been mostly focused on building the new Fontaine units (until I ran out of monster mats), and have been raising some characters I've neglected until recently. I have a lot more options to put her with than previously.
I mean it seems that geo doesnt synergize with anything. But I would like to try a candace and navia team
The NA attack buff would help get some more damage out of her infused NA string after each E and, assuming you have enough hydro application, Candace should be able to help generate enough crystallize shards for Navia to have 6 every E cast. Maybe not the strongest buffer for her but should definitely be doable without too much jank.
I have been a fun of the polearms only series for a while so seeing you try out candance with arlecchino on your videos a bit ago really intrigued me I'm glad candance has found new use! I really want to build her because i find her very cool and her kit interesting but sadly I'm stuck at C4 as of now so I don't think she will work with my arlecchino yet

Yeah, whats silly is how many times it seems like theyve gotten close to having damage dummies. The sumeru desert turtles, boxing ring in fontaine prison, local legends all felt like missed opportunities. At this point I just want a local legend on a normal sized arena that doesnt get knocked around and is just very tanky without any gimmicks lol
So glad I can use Candace with Arlecchino now. I only have Candace at C5, any idea when she will be rerun? Wish shed be on the Paimon store lol.

I know Yelan and book boy are superior but I want to play characters that I actually like. What kind of build I should go for with Wriothesley? I have a second copy of Engulfing Lightning and it looks pretty on her so with this weapon how to build her?
at some point I do want to do a pole arm only abyss run. I am missing elctro polearms, I dont have Cyno or Raiden. I have all except for Arlechino , Shenhe , Cyno and Raiden

It's kinda funny when the whole meta side takes the words of a handful of people (TCs) as gospel and never tries to figure out new ways of building teams at all.

Or you can invest in a yelan, who
1. Always has her burst ready with ER build
2. Consistent skill that deals crazy vaporize with a charged shot after use
3. Looks fuckin good while doing all of it
I don’t have Arlecchino, but this is incentive to build my Candace for the next time Arlecchino is given to us as a trial character in an event! I’m currently not building anybody, just trying to pick up fodder so I can roll my bad artifacts to get them out of my inventory, but building Candace seems like more fun 😁
It’s a shame about her needing Favonius Lance, though. I don’t have enough of those to go around. 5 of my characters are fighting over the one lance 😞
Im confused now.... Its says 0.5 with the hp thing so no, 33k hp would not be 35% buff itd be 16%? 70k would be 35% 🤔
Ive had c6 candace for a while and always look for an excuse to use her! In fact I even use her for my Gaming team since I dont own furina and c6 bennet will apply too much pyro
Will the new local legend in the Sea of Bygone Eras be a better test dummy despite its hydro shield? For certain teams at least
Maybe if I break its shield but having to deal with the shield and deal with the energy drain is frustrating. I may mess around with fighting it before it gets its shield up I suppose

I love her. She's one of those characters that I wanted to pull for after experiencing her in the story, just purely for how awesome of a character she is, her personality, and her place in the world. I can't say that about too many characters, but she is certainly one of them.
Sadly I got mine by accidentally getting Cyno, and she's still only at C1. But I'm still using her. Just like Yelan, Yoimiya, Zhongli and Neuvillette, I adore the character.
C6 Candace is what makes her better along with Arlecchino
It was worth it to go all in for C6 when she was released. Even back then she was useful since she could replace Xinqiu in Hu Tao double Hydro so he could go on the other team for your National variant of choice. Im so glad she's getting more attention now. I believed in you girl!!!!
1:32 "c6 candace is better than yelan" because she gives a bit more dmg bonus, completely ignoring that yelan deals way mpre dmg herself (if mentioned aoe in tjat sentemce it would be fine, but that was just a general sentence and even in aoe, arles aoe isnt that big, so you can easily just end up not getting more vapes from aoe hydro than st hydro and anemo hydro infused ults can easily cover aoe hydro, cause of arles icd)
i'm not someone who strives to be the most meta player, nor do i want to clear the abyss perfectly. all i'm happy about is that a character i really like, the character not the kit, is more usable than before. candace buff it is! i'm a kaveh main and i wish a buff like this happens for him too. maybe that girl emilie from fontaine?? hehe i can have my hopes

It's a high-skill team though. Xingqiu does more damage with Arlo and gives her protection.

candace is acceptable, but even at C6 I've had much better results overall by using Yelan or furina. She's not meta but if you like the character and want to use her well she definetly does has pretty solid synergies here, and that's enough to clear the abyss so really what more an you ask for!
Yeah Ive never claimed before Arle that Candace C6 was “meta,” but she is with Arlecchino. And as you say, she’s acceptable in a general sense. Of course she isnt as universally useful as XQ/Yelan/Furina, but imo thats kinda absurd to expect of a hydro 4 star when XQ exists already, so its best to look at the unique aspects to Candaces kit, and she has a lot of unique stuff going on that differentiates her, which is why we she ended up being so good with Arle

Without C6 you only get application from Candace when swapping so unfortunately it becomes very clunky. But you could still at least vape a few hits with Arle and Candace C6 plus you hage flexibility to swap to Candace to use her skill, so its still fine for OW imo

Look. I’m a skill issue player myself. But I am humble and always trying to learn. I think Bennett’s burst has a knock back so I personally do not want to use it in the center of a pack of enemies because it would knock them further apart. I tried to activate Bennett burst from a side so enemies get pushed together. Not that I’m qualified to give anyone any advice just my personal opinion.
Yeah I tend to try the same generally lol, just depends how much effort I want to put in and if I care to optimize stuff. With strong teams (such as the team in this video) I generally dont find it necessary to optimize to be able to clear abyss, so it just comes down to if I am enjoying trying to have the fastest clear possible.
If we get another attack buffer in the future I will definitely replace Bennett in this team though lol

I tried with level 40 C6 Candace in arlecchino team but for light local legend I tested on the fatui operative legend underwater (the risk financing accountant or something) it doesn’t work because the operative is so light weighted and kept getting launched and can’t get hydro applied onto her. Seems to work on bigger enemies.
Yeah thats the same issue I had with Rocky, but you can mitigate that issue a bit with Kazuhas grouping. In the abyss runs you can see instances of Kazuha grouping and breaking poise on the enemy, and when I use Candaces skill on a poise broken enemy it doesnt knock them back (poise broken enemies dont get knocked back again), so it wasnt an issue. I think the local legends have this issue because Kazuha doesnt break their poise first, and instead Candace does. So right now in most contexts I dont think it is that problematic, but could be worse if they release enemies with higher and higher poise
