As a long time Candace appreciateor, I'm glad my polearm only account awakened Zajef to Candace having a relevant kit lol (at C6, which has always been her problem)
I'm so happy! It's refreshing being able to play with underutilized units. And now I'm even seeing Candace speedruns. Glad she has her time to shine since her kit is so unique.
Just a note on the charged attack: it doesn't trigger Masque of the red Death, but still benefits from the pyro infusion and the +40% pyro damage Arlecchino gets. This means you can use it to 'save' your bond of life in cases where you just need to finish an enemy off before the next wave spawns for example. I've also gotten into a habit of sometimes doing 1 or 2 normal attacks and then combo'ing it into a charged attack. This way you can be more conservative with your bond of life. This is by no means a speedrunning tactic but it can be strategically used to conserve bond of life when it makes sense.
I actually use her CA to close the gap between spaced enemies after I finish off one of them. It also has low backswing animation, meaning that you can immediately do another CA or start your NAs without waiting for the animation to end. This also makes her CA extremely spammable and easy to chain (2 CAs can quickly cover a large distance especially in abyss when there are trash mobs kiting away from you) Plus, her 1st NA hit aggressively thrusts toward an enemy like how Raiden does so you don't need to worry about your NAs missing If you combine all of these together, her mobility while in combat is surprisingly fast and smooth. No need to do dashes to catch enemies when just 1 or 2 CAs can get you near them lol

@@ASerokaithat's very helpful but really works against playing in Bennett's circle impact. It really sucks since Arlecchino has incredible mobility for a carry. Her Hold CA levitation helps to chase enemies that dodge around like Wenut, Ruin Serpent, vishap twins, and even the mindless wandering xiangling mekas. Arlecchino is much more suited for portable buffs and hydro than stationary fighting.
RIGHT? I use fav and I'm only at 297%. For Zajef's 280% ER Benny with EM sword to be possible, assuming you are using an ER sands, your four other artifacts than sands would need an average of 25% ER on each one.

Sorry about your Chevreuse situation. Overload has been my favorite comp to play, and provided one at least attempts dodging here or there (I do NOT know dodge timing), Beidou offers plenty of defensive utility against the most aggressive content in the game. Coppelius in abyss 12 with Arle was the easy side for me Edit: My Chevreuse is C0
Tbh the "just dodge" thing isn't really necessary for shieldless teams. My previous experiences with Souls games and Monster Hunter taught me that _positioning_ and knowing your Damage Windows are equally valuable. Enemies generally considered hard and aggressive like the Consecrated Beasts have huge blind spots during a lot of their movesets. So long as you're facing those types of enemies and not the ones with bs hitboxes, AoEs, tracking or almost zero telegraph in their attacks like the Primo Geovishap, Abyss Lectors/Heralds or the Fatui Operatives, you should be fine with not i-framing attacks and just rely on attacking them from the side where they're not attacking.
Real, ive seen most content creators run her in vape but honestly it doesn't feel as good to me. Chevy teams have felt so comfortable and easy to play, rotations feel smoother and they clear perfectly fine

I've realized that my 230cv glad set really, really outclasses my 220cv whimsy set that costed me like 30 fragile resin, basically because I had noone using 4pc glad that she just got the most cracked, insane pieces with spare atk rolls that I won't be able to catch up with on whimsy. (I had like 400 more atk from substats lol)

I need 30+ total substats to even get close my current glad set and to be an upgrade it needs almost equal amount, which is honestly unlikely to happen anytime soon. Sigh, artifacts are a scam. At least there's nothing else to farm until Natlan, so it doesn't feel as bad to farm the new set, but I will certainly morb if I don't get an upgrade by Natlan's release.

So happy I have C6 Candace and C6 Kaeya. Just wish I could get Arlecchino. Im on a 50/50 and am bordering the line that enters soft pity. Man, I want Arlecchino so bad. I have many characters for her that I can experiment with from the aforementioned C6 Kaeya and C6 Candace , C6 Diona, C6 Thoma, Dehya, even C2 Yelan, TTDS Tankfei, Chevreuse (c1 for now), Layla C5, etc. I just want a good reason to use Candace. Ive already got her built and had a blast using trial Arlecchino in the Vibrations event with C6 Candace. Man, I really hope I win it. 😊
For this unit at c0 yelan is the best offensive option for dmg sure but ZL and xingqiu overall are just better options imo, Candace is a cool idea though lol
She's strong enough to clear the abyss fast. An additional glass cannon isn't better than the comfort of defensive options. Yes you can clear faster but the chance of retrying more is also higher.

i really enjoyed using Layla against hard hitting cryo bosses like Coppelia and Coppelius, her shield is almost indestructible against them (and her NA dmg bonus on one of her constellations is a nice plus)
I love her so much. She’s the only character I’ve ever WANTED cons on. Not because she needs them (she 100% doesn’t. Super strong even at c0), just because I wanted to make her even stronger. Thankfully I managed to get her c2. Been saving since 4.0 though.
The charged attack is also quite useful for quickly moving to a faraway enemy. The animation is quick and the range is really good so I often use CA like that instead of dashing towards enemies.
to be honest, people overrate the survivability problems. i played her in chev benny beidou team and could clear 1st side with no damage except the cryo kenki floor. she has SO much damage and chev teams have so much flexibility that you just can delay your damage and deal big damage later anyway. people should learn how to dodge if they gonna make characters like this lmao
I completely agree on the Gladiator vs Whimsy sets and thats the same conclusion I came to myself. I simply wont be able to improve on my glad set with any reasonable amount of resin to make it worth farming, my only reason that I may farm that domain is speculatively maybe Chlorinde might use Bond of Life and be good in Whimsy, and in 5.0 some new natlan characters may have some amount of burning synergy (on the level of chevreuse's synergy with overload) that makes the other set worth running. We dont have definitive or even leaked info that supports that, so it's a gamble. Also I ran her through the Genshin optimizer with my gear and it turns out even with 2800 attack, an ATK% goblet with more crit subs is worth running over a relatively mid pyro goblet. It's actually like a 15-20 percentish increase and I feel that in game. So make sure to check your pieces in the optimizer
When your account matures, this is pretty much the case for any set. When farming for a single set with the same targeted stats, the odds of getting decent enough substats with the right main stats on a new 4 piece set for it to outdo your existing stuff is just too low. And so when you have a resin inefficient domain, well, there's no point unless you're doing it because the single character in question is a favorite of yours. They really, really, really need to let us pick one of the two sets to get, just to at least get rid of that automatic half strongbox fodder aspect. Otherwise, well, domains where both sets have uses, and ideally, at least one of the sets has different main stat desirability across various characters (Troupe being a prime example, with def% sandsfor the off-field geos, atk% sands for the off-field electros, and hp% sands for Furina, and different ones for the cups as well).
i remember when i got c10 candace trying to pull for fischl c6(i had c4 already and did 90 pulls just to get one copy and not even get the c6). glad she has a use now
16:32 don’t want to use Leila‘s burst because it provides too much cryo- application Zajef has always undervalued Layla; it’s funny to hear him say this (that she provides plenty of cryo application). He also admits he hasn’t tested out her usage very much. There are a couple very decent Arlecchino melt teams which utilize Layla
tbf, that was for freezemelt, where significant differences in speed between cryo app and hydro app can make the enemy stay frozen for less time. in double cryo forward melt, yes, obviously you don't wanna deliberately skip her burst if you have it, and if you don't have it after a rotation, you screwed up her build in the first place
He is talking about freeze melt, not melt. That's like the same thing as quickbloom and hyperbloom. One requires less certain elem app and the other one requires more certain elem app.
Burgeon is ironically my favorite Arlecchino team by far, its so fun. I just run her with Nahida, Kirara, and Xingqiu, but Ill probably just run Candace now

I’ve tried this team and I liked Lynette more, her burst lasts longer, she absorbs cryo very easily and she buffs everyone’s atk by 16%, that’s great for Arlecchino
Regarding the VS Hu tao thing, I'm as metaslave as they get and I'll take Arlecchino over my C0R1 Tao every chance I can. Not having to do the fucking cringe cancels just feels way better, I prefer to focus my attention on dodging than on these unintended cancel hacks that are kinda necessary in 2024 for Tao to be top tier. Also Arle's AOE is just much better, the triple kenki room is a perfect example of that.
I'm sort of a meta slave and good god, it feels so so nice to have stamina to dodge shxt as compared to using all of them for Hu Tao charge attack. It's the same as Neuvillette charge attack. God I love both of them so much.
With natlan coming im very reserved in pulling on pyro units. As im an archon and sovereign collector ill be waiting on both the pyro ones and see if they're similar to arle. Then ill pull for arlech
I don't have chevreuse & c6 Candace but my fav arle team is Bennett, Xq & Beidou. The interruption resistant from both Xq & Beidou and shield from beidou are comfy and they both snapshot Bennett burst so playing in aoe/single target is both great. Main caveat is you need stupid high ER for Beidou so I just use fav greatsword. Also she was my 1st main so any chance to play her again is always good in my book 😂
I got her C1 by chance and she is insanely good I tried her C0 and with good enough support (I'm welkin only so C6 4 star and C0 5 star with 4 star weapon) she can one cycle most boss and only sometimes need 2 cycle and C1 just make her way more consistent and make her able to have the same DPS as C0 in a team with more safety and security (using Zhongli instead of Kazuha and using XQ instead of Yelan). I really want her C2 now cuz it will open up her team comp and rotation significantly and turn her into an absolute monster
Burgeon with c6 4 stars out the ass. C6 XQ and Thoma with nahida was something I had extreme success with and zero deaths to my own seeds. Felt real comfy imo. But again c6 4 stars out the ass
I love playing arle xq fischl beidou, partially because it's good, partially because you just never die, and partially because beidou is really good against triple kenki
I've been loving a PPHH team for Arlecchino - Mona Dehya Furina. In my experience, she's always Vaping her Vape-able damage, with rarely occasions for Fwd Vapes.
I might try vape Arlecchino team if I can get Candace to c6 but I wanted to have a change of pace and went with overload. So far it's been pretty fun and tho I don't get the crowd control that other teams will get (c'mon hoyoverse!) I can clear most content with her team.
As a Raiden main, It's often a pain when there are pyro characters on the banner because I can already tell that there are going to be a shit ton of electro opponents on the next Abyss rotation. I guess I'll just have to deal with this until 4.7 finally rolls around. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I like to play Arlecchino with Yun Jin a lot, she gets good numbers and it frees Bennett for other teams. I don't know why no content creator ever talks about it
I lost the 50/50 to Mona for the first time when going for Arlechino cons, and it made me realize one thing I didn’t before… Apparently Arlechino’s charged attack had an Ayaka like range in height, and therefore you can use her charged attack for enemies like the birds that the oceanid spawns, to get a little more AOE + height damage
U also missed to mention yelan is quit a lot better than xq for arle vape teams. If u start with arle e yelan e q (qe if play sucrose) bennet q (qe if sucrose) kazuha e na arle attack until buffs are abt gone start e yelan eq ... Repeat. Xq in vape teams cd is to long and feels kinda meh to play
I already had Hu Tao and got her to C1 some time ago, but still pulled Arlecchino. I tested her Trial and her Playstyle feels more fluid to me, which convinced me to pull her. So for me Arlecchino was an upgrade over Hu Tao. But I still like Hu Tao and was glad that I had her for a long time already.
i actually really like using her charged attack as a gap closer instead of dashing towards the enemy, it also just looks bad ass to teleport between enemies
No shot I'm getting a C6 Candace anytime soon. But that's fine because I'm having a blast (literally) with arle/chev overload teams. Definitely out-damaging my arle/yelan combo.
more team comp options, flexible rotations, can swap out without losing infusion, huge frontloaded damage, don't need to do cringe ahh animation cancels, big booba cleavage boss. and people are still coping that Hu Tao was better 😆

Her artifact set is a lot stronger than just 19% more dmg% that you may get on anyone else. It's like switching to Desert Pavilion on Xiao when you have Xianyun on his team. DMG% is WAY more valuable. Xiao gets a ton of flat dmg from Xianyun, making dmg% way way way more valuable than atk%. Same thing happens with Arlecchino because she translates her Masque passive to flat damage. But where Xianyun gives my Xiao like 7.2k flat damage (I do not have her sig lol). Arlecchino gives herself like 12k-ish flat at around 75% of max BoL capacity. So dmg% has massive returns for her. Edit: Zhongli, Arle, Chiori, Yelan is actually the team I use in her artifact domain.
I got very lucky with c2 Arlecchino. The crazy thing with her c2 is, that she doesn't require a shielder at all. It's crazy how good her first two constellations are.
i really liked XQ (noblesse) + Dehya (ToM) with her even beat abyss while using Furina on the last slot and i didn't really felt like i was in danger except once when i got CC'd multiple times in a row
Okay, I actually tried Kokomi with Arle in event, not fun due to jelly radius. But Nilou works amazing (also, 2 sec app like Kokomi and can hold key). So can use use her if no c6 Candace. Nilou's burst does have a lot of damage so it ain't all that bad.
Why is not having defensive options on chevreuse teams a huge problem but shieldless vape teams still get praised to high heaven? Honestly have been really enjoying Arle/chev/Bennett/fischl

Doing 1 or 2 normal attacks can guarantee a vape first hit. So good on you for siscovering that first. It is used for speedruns sometimes.

Thank you for making this video! I pulled Arlecchino and have been pretty happy with her so far. Particularly pleased that the melt wasn't as bad as previously thought, as I enjoy using my Cryo characters a lot.

So happy I have C6 Candace and C6 Kaeya. Just wish I could get Arlecchino. Im on a 50/50 and am bordering the line that enters soft pity. Man, I want Arlecchino so bad. I have many characters for her that I can experiment with from the aforementioned C6 Kaeya and C6 Candace , C6 Diona, C6 Thoma, Dehya, even C2 Yelan, TTDS Tankfei, Chevreuse (c1 for now), Layla C5, etc.
I just want a good reason to use Candace. Ive already got her built and had a blast using trial Arlecchino in the Vibrations event with C6 Candace. Man, I really hope I win it. 😊
I've been using her for on-field Kaeya Freeze: similar damage as C6 Xingqiu against 3 enemies and better aligned cooldowns.
Zajeff doing everything in his power to NOT play Yelan has become kinda funny at this point
For this unit at c0 yelan is the best offensive option for dmg sure but ZL and xingqiu overall are just better options imo, Candace is a cool idea though lol

She's strong enough to clear the abyss fast. An additional glass cannon isn't better than the comfort of defensive options. Yes you can clear faster but the chance of retrying more is also higher.

i really enjoyed using Layla against hard hitting cryo bosses like Coppelia and Coppelius, her shield is almost indestructible against them (and her NA dmg bonus on one of her constellations is a nice plus)
I love her so much. She’s the only character I’ve ever WANTED cons on. Not because she needs them (she 100% doesn’t. Super strong even at c0), just because I wanted to make her even stronger. Thankfully I managed to get her c2. Been saving since 4.0 though.
The charged attack is also quite useful for quickly moving to a faraway enemy. The animation is quick and the range is really good so I often use CA like that instead of dashing towards enemies.
to be honest, people overrate the survivability problems. i played her in chev benny beidou team and could clear 1st side with no damage except the cryo kenki floor. she has SO much damage and chev teams have so much flexibility that you just can delay your damage and deal big damage later anyway. people should learn how to dodge if they gonna make characters like this lmao
People overrate problems on any character. It's just a matter on if they do high enough damage that they're otherwise payed despite those complaints.

I completely agree on the Gladiator vs Whimsy sets and thats the same conclusion I came to myself. I simply wont be able to improve on my glad set with any reasonable amount of resin to make it worth farming, my only reason that I may farm that domain is speculatively maybe Chlorinde might use Bond of Life and be good in Whimsy, and in 5.0 some new natlan characters may have some amount of burning synergy (on the level of chevreuse's synergy with overload) that makes the other set worth running. We dont have definitive or even leaked info that supports that, so it's a gamble. Also I ran her through the Genshin optimizer with my gear and it turns out even with 2800 attack, an ATK% goblet with more crit subs is worth running over a relatively mid pyro goblet. It's actually like a 15-20 percentish increase and I feel that in game. So make sure to check your pieces in the optimizer
When your account matures, this is pretty much the case for any set. When farming for a single set with the same targeted stats, the odds of getting decent enough substats with the right main stats on a new 4 piece set for it to outdo your existing stuff is just too low. And so when you have a resin inefficient domain, well, there's no point unless you're doing it because the single character in question is a favorite of yours. They really, really, really need to let us pick one of the two sets to get, just to at least get rid of that automatic half strongbox fodder aspect. Otherwise, well, domains where both sets have uses, and ideally, at least one of the sets has different main stat desirability across various characters (Troupe being a prime example, with def% sandsfor the off-field geos, atk% sands for the off-field electros, and hp% sands for Furina, and different ones for the cups as well).

Zajef has always undervalued Layla; it’s funny to hear him say this (that she provides plenty of cryo application). He also admits he hasn’t tested out her usage very much. There are a couple very decent Arlecchino melt teams which utilize Layla
I use Furu's Layla team of her, Barbara, Nahida and Diluc with an EM build. It's pretty fun but needs C4 Layla to work just right.
tbf, that was for freezemelt, where significant differences in speed between cryo app and hydro app can make the enemy stay frozen for less time. in double cryo forward melt, yes, obviously you don't wanna deliberately skip her burst if you have it, and if you don't have it after a rotation, you screwed up her build in the first place
He is talking about freeze melt, not melt. That's like the same thing as quickbloom and hyperbloom. One requires less certain elem app and the other one requires more certain elem app.
Burgeon is ironically my favorite Arlecchino team by far, its so fun. I just run her with Nahida, Kirara, and Xingqiu, but Ill probably just run Candace now

I have been played Arlecchino Kaeya (C6) Sucrose Layla, it does great in single target, for AOE, need sucrose burst for consistency.
I’ve tried this team and I liked Lynette more, her burst lasts longer, she absorbs cryo very easily and she buffs everyone’s atk by 16%, that’s great for Arlecchino
Regarding the VS Hu tao thing, I'm as metaslave as they get and I'll take Arlecchino over my C0R1 Tao every chance I can. Not having to do the fucking cringe cancels just feels way better, I prefer to focus my attention on dodging than on these unintended cancel hacks that are kinda necessary in 2024 for Tao to be top tier. Also Arle's AOE is just much better, the triple kenki room is a perfect example of that.
C0 hutao is the worst unit in the game lol. Not in terms of meta but in terms of fun
I'm sort of a meta slave and good god, it feels so so nice to have stamina to dodge shxt as compared to using all of them for Hu Tao charge attack.
It's the same as Neuvillette charge attack. God I love both of them so much.

Tao is truly a berserker playstyle and I absolutely love it.

I don't have chevreuse & c6 Candace but my fav arle team is Bennett, Xq & Beidou. The interruption resistant from both Xq & Beidou and shield from beidou are comfy and they both snapshot Bennett burst so playing in aoe/single target is both great. Main caveat is you need stupid high ER for Beidou so I just use fav greatsword. Also she was my 1st main so any chance to play her again is always good in my book 😂

I got her C1 by chance and she is insanely good
I tried her C0 and with good enough support (I'm welkin only so C6 4 star and C0 5 star with 4 star weapon) she can one cycle most boss and only sometimes need 2 cycle and C1 just make her way more consistent and make her able to have the same DPS as C0 in a team with more safety and security (using Zhongli instead of Kazuha and using XQ instead of Yelan).
I really want her C2 now cuz it will open up her team comp and rotation significantly and turn her into an absolute monster

I've been loving a PPHH team for Arlecchino - Mona Dehya Furina. In my experience, she's always Vaping her Vape-able damage, with rarely occasions for Fwd Vapes.
I might try vape Arlecchino team if I can get Candace to c6 but I wanted to have a change of pace and went with overload. So far it's been pretty fun and tho I don't get the crowd control that other teams will get (c'mon hoyoverse!) I can clear most content with her team.

I like to play Arlecchino with Yun Jin a lot, she gets good numbers and it frees Bennett for other teams. I don't know why no content creator ever talks about it

I lost the 50/50 to Mona for the first time when going for Arlechino cons, and it made me realize one thing I didn’t before…
Apparently Arlechino’s charged attack had an Ayaka like range in height, and therefore you can use her charged attack for enemies like the birds that the oceanid spawns, to get a little more AOE + height damage

I already had Hu Tao and got her to C1 some time ago, but still pulled Arlecchino. I tested her Trial and her Playstyle feels more fluid to me, which convinced me to pull her. So for me Arlecchino was an upgrade over Hu Tao. But I still like Hu Tao and was glad that I had her for a long time already.

Her artifact set is a lot stronger than just 19% more dmg% that you may get on anyone else. It's like switching to Desert Pavilion on Xiao when you have Xianyun on his team. DMG% is WAY more valuable. Xiao gets a ton of flat dmg from Xianyun, making dmg% way way way more valuable than atk%. Same thing happens with Arlecchino because she translates her Masque passive to flat damage. But where Xianyun gives my Xiao like 7.2k flat damage (I do not have her sig lol). Arlecchino gives herself like 12k-ish flat at around 75% of max BoL capacity. So dmg% has massive returns for her.
Edit: Zhongli, Arle, Chiori, Yelan is actually the team I use in her artifact domain.

i really liked XQ (noblesse) + Dehya (ToM) with her even beat abyss while using Furina on the last slot and i didn't really felt like i was in danger except once when i got CC'd multiple times in a row
Okay, I actually tried Kokomi with Arle in event, not fun due to jelly radius. But Nilou works amazing (also, 2 sec app like Kokomi and can hold key). So can use use her if no c6 Candace. Nilou's burst does have a lot of damage so it ain't all that bad.
Why is not having defensive options on chevreuse teams a huge problem but shieldless vape teams still get praised to high heaven? Honestly have been really enjoying Arle/chev/Bennett/fischl
vape is extremely frontloaded so you can speedrun and get away with not having shields

If you have any team capable of 36 starring Abyss, it has a good chance at insulting the primo vishap in one rotation.
