Ladies: I’m having so much enjoyment catching up with your most current videos, like this one. I found it most interesting when you spoke about so many places in Florida to visit if you take time from the Villages to visit. My mom’s niece likes to go on cruises with her husband to the islands, They have also been to Tampa, Hallandale, and Orlando. So it’s important to stress, and both of you did, that Florida has so much to enjoy.-I’m looking forward to watching more of your videos.
It would be so cool to get a tour of a house from the north, mid, and south areas of the villages. I’m sure a realtor would love to promote it as well!
Wow...another great video. 20 more years of expansion? Hopefully more commercial shopping in that land they bought. Also, I appreciate the cleanliness in TV as my town is so full of litter.
The villages would be so lucky if you were trying to sell the villages. You two are AMAZING. You share a little about everything. This is why I continue to watch. Both very down to earth and genuine. Thank you again.
We are going to move in The Villages from Minnesota in November. First year for 6 months. Interesting what you said about the lake living in Minnesota. I think I will feel that way too. I need to be active.
My life sounds like Jan’s life. We have a lake house and it’s like she said. (Except we have lots of golf available). What’s different is that we are more laid back at TV. Golf, pool, cards but don’t eat out or go to squares as much after 11 seasons. We do more of the squares when our kids come. The eagles remind me of our lake house. Keep the great videos coming.
You mentioned the villages have bought enough land to build for the next 20 yrs, will medical care keep up with the growth? Other videos talk about there was supposed to be another hospital in southern area but it has disappeared from the maps and plans.
Hi Rita! Hard to really answer that. The developer isn’t set to build any hospitals that we are aware of. There was to be a hospital built in the southern area by a private company . I have seen an article that construction of a 60 bed hospital is set to be started by the end of 2023 at Trailwinds (which is on 466A). Very hard to know if things will be built and if it will keep up with growth, but that is the information we have. That article was from the end of 2022. I haven’t seen anything saying it isn’t coming, but you never know! It is definitely something many people would like to see addressed. Thank you for watching!
I’m thankful everyday I moved here three years ago from Naples. I lived in MN for most of my life so I can relate to the snow and cold. Keep up the great videos. What golf course is in the background? I’ve played all execs and working on the championships-play in the summer when lower price is in effect. Way more positives vs negatives! Glad I came to the bubble!
I am coming DOWN this winter and renting for a few months…It seems that the home prices are so inflated (like the rest of the USA) but I will have to see.. Thank-you for the videos.
We have been looking to rent for months. Unfortunately, could not find anything rent reasonable in villages but finally found a cottage just outside the north part of villages We are hoping to book a life style visit while there. Thanks for video girls and keep on keeping on x
When TV was started years ago, they were trying to draw retirees. Of course if everyone that lived in the area was retired, they wouldn’t have anyone to work in stores, restaurants etc….all of the things people would want and expect in an area they live in. So, they started a charter school system to attract younger people to the area to work. If you work for TV and/or on Village property your child can go to the charter school. It is a highly rated school as well. Hope that clears it up a bit! Thanks for the question and for watching!
My wife has 2 cousins that live there. We have visited a few times. One of the cousins' husband made his golf cart look like a helicopter and had it's picture in the Villages Newspaper.
As a “snowbird” (until I can convince hubby to ditch the New York house), I gained 13 lbs in in the 4 months we were there this year! All that eating and DRINKING I was doing added up (but it was totally worth it). It’s coming off now that I’m back in NY, so I need to be careful having all that fun when I return in October!! 😂
I would love to come take a look around but I would have no idea where to start. It seems so large and vast and trying to figure out a nice section to live in... Anyways, nice video.
I would recommend a lifestyle visit and focus on one section. They are all nice, it is just a matter if you like new or existing construction. The older section has different landscaping and a different feel than the southern section. Everyone is pretty friendly and helpful here! Thanks for watching!
Interesting comment about 'keeping up with the Baby-boomers'. Entertainments are an issue for us. So many of the bands play stuff from the 50's-70's The new people (in our mid 50's) coming in this is like their grandparents music and has been around longer than us. We need some Chemical Brothers, Techno music, and rock bands. Even cover bands of Iron Maiden, Metallica, Eminem etc date back to pre 2000 and are more akin to our growing up. Granted they can be a little loud, or have flashing lights which may not be of taste to the oldies. Shame The Hooligans were poached - Lets hope Scooter doesn't follow as he is our saving grace!!!
Yes! They do have some bands at Savannah and Sharon Center that cover Boston, Kansas etc. I do think Rocky and the Rollers and groups like that will start working their way out. I am 57 myself (Debbie). I love Clark Barrios Band, Houligans, Spazmatics (that is is also the Houligans though!). Not sure if we will ever see metal bands on the square, but that will be interesting to watch for! Thank you for watching!

Why do they need high schools if they don’t allow children to live there?
When TV was started years ago, they were trying to draw retirees.
