Hello. Are there circunstances in which a PCM relay could be bad even if the car turns on but had other symptoms like stalling after running for a while?

Thanks this fixed my 2008 f 150 I changed the fuel filter while I was at it and spent $30 I'm road worthy again.

Had same problem truck would not turn over at times sometimes loss of data to ECM relay was so 🔥 hot almost could not touch it thank you and have a blessed day

Interesting video. Wish you showed your process of how you got to this step. I. E. Check battery, check starter, etc.
First thing he done was run a scan on it. Not connecting to the pcm was the first diagnosis. That would tell you the problem is likely either the pcm or wiring connected to it.

Hey Guys great video as well as other videos you make, I have a 2006 p-71 that is stalling out at idle,
I have no rough idle or stumbling pulling, ( I have plenty of power) codes p-0600 & 2105, no one can figure it out, no shorts the mechanic even checked the car out with a thermal imaging camera , been dealing with this for 5 months
Are does 2 relays the same as the other one that's next to the fog relay?

What about potential intermittent loose connection on low voltàge side/computer included because I'm charging my cell phone and it's clicking on and off. Simultaneously the truck is running like crap the coils are not working or something,mega missing

My 2004 Ford F150 with the 5.4 cranks but won't start unless I go to the passenger side fuse box and unplug the bottom plug with the wires connected to it and unplug it and plug it back in a few times and then it will start

I'm having an issue with my 5.4 ford expedition . I'm getting a positive reading on the ground to the ignition coil all the rest have ground except number 8 I changed Chile spark plug fuel injector and still check light will not disappear
How do I find out what size ac clutch diode is used on a 1999 Ford f250 6.8l superduty v10 4x4. I can't read any part number on the small diode that goes from the high pressure switch to the top of the compressor. And where can I buy the diode. Thanks
It happens to me on a Ford with max 2007 that one relay is constantly heard to knock and when the car is turned off? I set the other relay and I still hear a click?
Does this apply to 2010?

I had a no start but it tried..jumped it and started and ran fine..then later idling with ac on in shade it was pegging my temp gauge to the right..and it was hot..barely could touch the fenders..let it cool off started and ran fine..turned off truck, next morning battery had 8 volts and I noticed my headlight running lights were dim but glowing as well as taillights..just barely on, even though nothing was left on. jumped it to charge battery, drove it for about an hour..all fine..put a boat in the water and parked the trailer and unhitched it as I drove away noting my temp gauge was slightly toward hot which is abnormal for this truck to ever be off the half mark...then quickly it went back to normal. shut it off and no lights on anywhere. Plug in cigarette lighter tester say alternator is charging and battery full charge. needless to say I'm baffled. Anyone have a clue ?
I did some research that these 2004-2008 5.4 Triton ford said it had 300 hp.but the true horsepower is 185 horsepower on a 5.4 triton stock no tune

Yeah the engine is a pos ngl but I will give it credit where credit is due. I was 4 hours into a 8 hour road trip and it went into limp mode and I pushed that bitch the rest of the way and it cruised at 78 the entire way. 180k miles. Can’t complain tbh
What if it does start but idles rough and no throttle response. Would this relay affect any of that

Can you help me with my issue? I have a 2000 F150 Lightning and I was installing an aftermarket Trans Temp Gauge and it requires tapping into your fuse box for power, while doing so I arced one of the wires on the back of the Gauge and shorted something. Now I lost power to the ignition and it will not start. None of the warning lights are appearing in my dash and no click when you turn the key. I checked all of the fuses at the main box and they appear good. It was a very quick and small arc, so I'm puzzled. I'd appreciate any suggestions you can give, Thanks
Hey guys , love the videos but I also have a 2004 5.4 truck and I’ve got a problem I can’t fix. The coils have 12 volts to the coil but the signal wire is only putting out 4 to 6 volts so it won’t start. I’ve put a new computer, cleaned all grounds under hood,in kick panels, under truck, all ground are cleaned and tight. Inspected all wiring that I can see and all good. Please help.
What do you do if the PCM relay continues to go bad? My dad has a 2004 F-150 that wouldn't start. Checked it and the relay was the problem. Put in a new relay and it worked fine for about 9 months. Then it happened again. Replaced the relay and it was good for about 3 months. Happened again. Now it's popping relays about every 4-5 weeks or so. I've also noticed that the center pin hole on the fuse box for that relay is slightly disfigured / melted (like it's getting really hot for some reason). Any ideas as to what might be causing this to happen or what I should check / replace next? I'm thinking of getting another fuse box from another truck of the same year (in case there's a short or something in this one) and just swapping them out.
That's a high moisture area... !! Pull the kickpanel at the bottom door... check for standing waterr around wiring harness !!! !!!
Best to buy a new fuse box.!! They all seem to have rust, ... in my opinion. ... !!!!

Guys I have 2007 ford 150 with the 5.4 engine . My problem is that I can start my truck no problem . It runs for a short time working just fine . Then all of a sudden it start to run poorly and shuts off . Checked spark on all coils but have nothing . If I leave the truck for a couple of days I can go out and it’s starts again fine but then it does the same thing all over again . Any idea what’s going on with my truck .

I have a 2004 f150 5.4. The day before it was driving perfectly. Next day go to drive for truck, and the wrench on the dashboard popped up, and it was on LIMP mode. Fuse f32 keeps blowing. I’ve checked the o2s( all 4 of them are new), unplugged the vcts, rechecked still blowing the f32 fuse. Unplugged the MAF still blowing the fuse. I’m just nit sure what else to check. Thanks
Looking at a wiring diagram Fuse 32 feeds:
1) Both pre-cat O2 sensors
2) Both VCTs
3) MAF
4) Charge motion control valve
5) EVAP canister solenoid
6) EVAP canister vent valve
I have a stumper! No high power electronics! If the lights are on, or the a/c is on, or even defrost, the vehicle won't shift out of park. Turn em all off and vehicle drives without a hiccup.

Can anyone help me I've been stuck on this late last night all right so something going on with my truck it's F-250 5.4 l V8 2006 super duty but at first I was just going down the highway about 70 mph and then I look down and my tow haul light is flashing. So now my speedometer won't go past 300 RPMs without taking a few seconds before it violently jerks. And then on my way home I can only go 30 miles an hour but I did stop and pull over once the whole tow hauling light came on and it jerked I did pull over for those. Now here's the thing I'm not sure could it be the TCM or it could be the PCM or possibly could be the TFT sensor or I just need to flush the whole transmission maybe I just need a whole transmission. But I've hit a rock I don't know who else to ask right now

I have an 04 f150 5.4.. computer shows coil primary and secondary on b & c and truck is skipping. I replaced plugs, coils, injectors, intake gaskets, cylinder head temp sensor, and a new computer and still have the same issue.. any idea what it could be?

I've also changed the connectors on all coils, I'm really leaning towards it being an issue inside the wiring harness due to replacing everything including the intake and still having the same issues and receiving the same codes. I'm going to try replacing the harness and I will gladly update here afterwards.

Does sound a lot like an electrical issue - have you checked all the fuses & fusible links? Maybe there's a damaged/corroded battery cable or ground somewhere?

I found the problem it was a wire from the positive cable that runs to the alternator and just check all if having the same issue gracias a Dios my truck is running.🙏🏽
i did that and now my dashlights are flickering and when i try to crank it my headlights randomly come on and my truck still wont crank....
Go to Orilley's and have them order you a Motorcraft Ignition switch. (Not the key and tumbler) it's cheaper than ALL the off brands at 20.99 list form them and it's 26.60 at FORD. It takes 3 minutes to change and your life will change. Your welcome.....
I have the same problem, but I completely lost power on everything like if the battery is dead but few minutes later start normal like new…. By the way battery is new
Hey! If you lost power to everything and the battery is known to be good, we'd recommend you check the the power cable that goes from the battery to the fuse box and your ignition circuit. Thanks!

Sounds like a wiring short - if you have a multimeter you could try disconnecting the brake light connectors and checking for shorts to ground.
You had a DEAD SHORT to ground didn't you? Surely you found the problem by now (9 months ago)? Please post results...

What if I don’t have fog lights?
A relay is just an electro mechanical switch. Just look at a diagram for that relay and use 12 volt and a continuity tester to see If it works, or just bypass it with a paper clip

How come when i turn fog lights on they dont come on but when i pull fog light relay they come on
There must be a wiring short somewhere if it lights up without the relay - probably to the headlights (unless the fogs come on with the headlights off).
As for why it only happens with the relay removed.. that's a solid mystery, maybe the relay or junction box is faulty and is somehow grounding out the fog light wiring when it's in place?
