Amazing range and musical intonation, the odd very fleeting split note, no one cares about as it that was amazing.

Amazing.. never expected a tuba to effectively pull off this song.
The timbres of the tuba and piano doesn't perfectly mesh when playing at these ranges, but wonderful performance nonetheless by both first class musicians.

You're correct in not expecting a tuba to pull this off effectively. He certainly didn't. Yes, he is very skilled, but he failed to play it as a tango. The dancers would have been asleep before the end of the music. I really like Jalousie, but this was way slower than it is normally performed, and completely lacking in tango feel.
A tango is a sensuous, and energetic dance, which was often danced by prostitutes in 'places of entertainment' in South America. Despite its dubious beginnings, the dance should still be full of spirit and vibrant energy.

Great sound and good technique. Very little feeling for what a tango should sound like, though.

+wernertrptube Right you are... nice demo of tuba playing skills... but rather unmusical all in all...

+wernertrptube A Piazzola tambien le acusaban de no tener "feeling" para el tango...nadie es dueño del "feeling" de nada...cada quien tiene el suyo....y por suerte
