The back of the truck is great, especially with the partsforming making it 100% accurate. If only the shoulders were akin to the DNA version, a smaller version of this would be the perfect Prime.
I got so lucky finding the 102 Optimus Prime. I remember going to Target to look with my gf, and I practically screamed and grabbed it off the shelf. It was the last one there too
I got mine a few weeks ago and it is amazing. Can’t stop admiring the paint. I found it not long after you posted that first video about it and ordered it right away. I love it!

I got this already and MHM-01 is freaking awesome and much cleaner than the original, both robot and truck modes. I hope they come out for the rests of the characters especially Scourge.
In truck mode, the parts that attaches to the back... The parts that the trailer slides into can come off and there's a peg hole. I wonder if we'll get a trailer or maybe we can peg in another trailer from a different OP.
Yeah for me the longer exaggerated smoke stacks make him look more aggressive and emposing they just add a different dynamic look to him I really appeal to
The parts are not tightly linked together, there are many gaps. I couldn't attach the front of the truck until I filed down the plastic. But overall this is a pretty good product for the price, many accessories, nice paint color.
I have this Optimus prime ❤❤ took a week to arrive at my address but when I finally held in my hands I was so much happy to have such a masterpiece ❤️❤️❤️
I didn’t realize it was oversized. Despite being a great deal, I’m really disappointed they didn’t keep it the same scale, and use the extra budget to fix those stupid shoulders and smoke stacks. It’s now a major disappointment that I can’t use all the accessories with the original version if I wanted to mix and match. Just some baffling decisions. Already placed my order 2 weeks ago so it’ll be in soon, at least I know before getting it. Thanks for the review!
Good review as usual. I just realized you missed a step in the transformation though. You forgot to swivel the silver shoulder pieces around between the two smokestacks.
Looks even better than studio series ROTB Optimus Prime although there's two things I do not like this figure is smoke stats that will hit his head if you lift his shoulders up and lack of Autobot insignia on his shoulders. Still great figure 👍
They probably will add a nemesis prime and shattered glass optimus prime soon with this mold, they did it with the Bumblebee movie optimus prime and they were amazing 3rd party figures and hopefully by then, they'll add the DNA shoulders as well, that'll be a double win.

i have the BmB OP-01. to be honest, i am actually considering picking up this guy as well simply because of the accessories. The OP-01 is a direct 1:1 replicate of the SS102 while is not a bad thing, the accessories are definitely lacking. Awesome review once again PrimeVsPrime!
Looks promising, but I’d like to wait for version 2.0 of this, with BETTER head/face sculpture, better paint job (silver is over painted from mask onto helmet 😢 etc), better joints, better/no partsforming and better refinement here n there. But it’s a GOOD try and I do like it!
I got this figure, and I found that there's still a reason why this is a cheap KO. Both modes look great, but the parts don't tab in well. I found the front panel of the truck won't tab into the round holes, so you'll always get this big gap when looking on side view. (I also see it happening in this video). Then if you look at the truck sideview, the truck cab will never sit flushed horizontally. Then I also found his blaster again don't tab in securely so it keeps falling off. Obviously you can use tools to fix all this if you want to. But as for quality and fun, I still like the original.
ngl I was a bit worried this guy wouldn't scale that well w/ Megatron and Scourge, seemed a bit bigger than the ideal “equalized” scale…actually works better than I expected in the 2007-ROTF Voyager/Leader Prime vs Megs-esque sense of minor size difference. Hell he looks almost equal to the unmodded Scourge which I personally love. 10/10 pickup

we still need another Magnificent Mecha Optimus prime but except it's a rise of the beasts version that would be areally accurate version of rotb optimus prime as a transforming threezero of himself

Correction: Most of the accessories given are remolds from indie 3d printed accessories for the ss102. The battle axe is not an upscale of the one that came with primal as the handle is different.
Looks WAAAAYYYY nicer than the original release - but I am a little surprised/disappointed that no-one has yet to find a way to take those blue "shin" pieces off the back of the cab and fold/rotate them to fill in the back of the truck, removing the need for the partsforming extra piece.
Got him today (aliexpress if you're having a hard time finding him, took a week to the UK) shame his big canons don't attach, they need a mod, it's discussed on TFW2005 so not just my copy, they have a solution there repurposing the extra weapons attachments for vehicle mode to do it. I'll dig through my extra Gundam parts and find or make something myself.
I much prefer the supreme commander version, it's an unfortunate that hasbro sometimes do good things and sometimes bad things, this supreme commander is even better than ss optimus with the upgrade kit wow, I hope takara make a new mp of rotb optimus, BTW nice video
@@PrimeVsPrime tbh I’m a fan for a better looking robot mode vs the alt mode, mostly because I display them in their robot form, but yea Hasbro can and should do better. The multi-billion dollar company is dragging its feet with the Star Wars the Vintage Collection, and with the transformer studio series figures they’re kinda doing the same, but there is always hope. One of the biggest hopes is that they complete the AOE Dinobots, that’s all I’m hoping for now.
We do need a third party scourge! What I'm ultimately waiting for is a third party oversized masterpiece like class for this prime and scourge! Now that will be worth getting my hands on.

The lack of Autoboot insignia is actually for legal reasons since this is not a official figure

Does the Optimus prime scale head to head with the BBM Megatron? It wasn’t really clear since it wasn’t standing up straight in the video.
