What's eye-opening is that the same problems are happening in white communities with same results. Not racial related, but a cultural shift away from nuclear families and the results are crippling. In other video they talk about doing three things. Graduate high school, don't have children out of wedlock, and get a job.
Nonso Okonkwo black people in this country are several generations removed from systematic oppression. They have access to free education. They hold political positions, they own business, they dominate the most popular pro sports making millions of dollars, they are celebrities in all forms. The person who runs the company I work for is black. They have the same choices every one else has at this point.

Yeah, he ain't wrong in the slightest. Hell, this shouldn't apply to only blacks. Anyone with these issues and with the victimology ought to learn this!
Reason 73 While we blacks are definitely the victims of whites, there are victims that don’t even have the mentality of victims, while there are ppl in society who’ve never been victims yet still have a victim mentality. It’s like my basketball coach told us years ago, there’s difference in having a losing season, and having the mindset and mentality of a loser. And this mentality is definitely an obstacle to blacks, regardless of the motivations for having such mentality. However, his being correct about four out of five issues spoken here indeed makes him eighty percent correct.
@SuperSaiyan4Broly you're right the facts haven't changed that's why his opinion should. Here's a fact for you: in the late 1900s that's less than a hundred years ago for you who don't know. A government program called red line districting was put in place. This program made banks either not give loans out to black families at all or offer interest rates up to three times higher than that of a white family. Here's another fact for you. Because of this disparity in homeownership there became a disparity in wealth because IDK if you know this or not but the easiest way to attain wealth in America is through homeownership. This is econ 101. Last facts for ya, since blacks were stonewalled when it comes to property owing, today in America for every $100 of wealth a white family has a black family had $5.04.. yes that's five dollars and four cents.. Those are the facts that haven't changed.. So please no opinions like what this video is, give me facts that backup your point of view. If you can't find those facts maybe you should ask yourself why
Dontae Hicks Some might argue that asians and other groups of people came to the US way after blacks and were able to succeed and earn much money/income than the black people. Despite the lack of affirmative action being in their side. The white racism wasn’t an issue to them. Also, these communities don’t have these extremely high criminal rates in them. I hope you give me your thought about that since I don’t live in the US and trying to figure what’s happening.
@@hoohawateva6789 yeah but you said it yourself they came.. Not only were African American forced to come here but African Americans had their language religion and overall sense of community ripped from away from them. On top of that there was no working for even small fees for African Americans it was just slavery.. The two cannot even be compared they are so far away from each other
Dontae Hicks Sorry I don’t get it.. how is them being forced to come or coming on there own be a deciding factor? I am speaking about the time after the civil rights movement achieved their demands (long long time after slavery). So then we had blacks who already know the language, have contacts/connections and communities to start working even among themselves vs Communities of people coming from third world countries, poor, no language, family or real communities to support them yet they end up living a happy life and not having high criminal rates ( a criminal per “number” of people). The guy in the video is trying to reason that it’s because the development of events in the past decades lead to a huge increment in the single motherhood in the black communities causing young black men to become less hard working, undisciplined and more likely to take bad choices at an early age. As oppose to racism being the causative. So if racism was really affecting them from prospering, why didn’t it affect the indian/pakistani American communities? Keeping in mind that they also have darker skin colors and can be identified by appearances.. what do you think?
@@brotherreed7241 If there is such a thing as white supremacy, the way to solve it is to solve the problems in the black community though, isnt it? If the black community is strong and independant, the white community isnt "supreme" anymore, I would think..
I think you may be surprised that alot of white people don't know any black person feels this way. It's never what's told on the TV etc. Which perpetuates fear and racism. The fact that the only thing we hear is you blame and hate white people when most of us don't think about race does not help. Sounds bad but I'm being honest. I never treated anyone differently because of there color but all of the sudden I have because of all the stuff I keep hearing about how horrible I am because I'm white.
Everyone's problems, regardless of race, political affiliation, and religious ideology, begins with themselves. If they continually turn a blind eye to that, destruction will only continue to fall on themselves as well as on those around them.
You can start with solving the problems you can solve yourself. Regardless of where those problems come from, those are the ones you should prioritize. Only then can we start solving problems that serve others.
Problems can be trying to get a good life but making bad choices such as drug use, wasting money on things you don't need, not actively trying to make yourself worth more to employ in some way, keeping friends around that will get you killed or arrested, smoking your weight in pot a month, don't remember what not being stoned was like, attitude and tone you take with others is aggressive etc. You know things that would make someone who might be able to help you out or something uncomfortable, afraid, liable, or not trust you. First impressions matter. You will limit your option in society by limiting those willing to interact with you. This isn't skin color. This is character.
EvErLoyaLEagLE so impeach hillary obama and all other criminals in political posistions. then no1 would work for government if they can be held accountable for cities failures. new white cities are being built as we know it. guess the percentage of hispanic intelligence is going to be utilized at gigafactory just enough to keep a.action off em.

@sunrisespark right but that's not really the issue at hand. The issue is the problems facing black people. Ok last year there were only ten.. What about all the tests before that because that's what we're really fighting for
@sunrisespark you're delusional look at Texas one of the most Republican states ever with one of the biggest prostitution rings in the world. Not to mention the fact that Trump stood behind Maxwell and said that Epstein was a "great guy". On top of that he flew with the guy at least once that we know of! Check the statistics and you'll understand why blacks are stopped more than whites. Most of the blacks that are shot at, are pulling out guns and getting aggressive with police. There are too many videos now on the internet that show this, so it's no use denying these facts. All the best black leaders and intellectuals now understand this and are now working to fix the problems.
K C: Don't hold your breath while waiting for PBS to air material like this. Their brand of journalism is a growing reason for the destruction of families, neighborhoods and cities.
It is not 100% truth. Jesse Lee Peterson says the same thing. It is not recieved, because when you Google the modern day stats you see that there is alot more going on than what he is pointing to. Look at what i wrote. and watch this . I could not find the original film. But here is another. it doesn't show what i wanted, but you will see that this kind of talk does not cover the whole subject.
K C , the white mainstream media won't allow it to be shown. They don't want black people to get ahead. They do the same with Hispanics, because they won't stop illegal immigration. Our two communities are marginalized because of the leftists lyndon Johnson style racism!
As well structured and thought out as this gentleman's argument is....it will sadly be ignored because it doesn't suit multiple agendas. One of the big ones being media. This simply makes too much sense and won't sell at the same rate as exploiting and sensationalizing these issues.
Yes, absolutely! This won't be seen because it doesn't suit multiple agendas. And because his arguments are shit. But black people will continue being lying, victims of themselves, too busy to understand what Taleeb Starkes is eloquently saying.
@spot light Since when do blacks not get jobs just because they are black? Recently many jobs have been choosing people with horrible work ethics and lower IQ's just because they arent a white male. Businesses dont want to be called racist just for hiring a better employee so they hire bad employees
@spot light The same thing happens to whites. Do some research on that. Stop going on CNN. Also, people who are denied jobs in todays world are usually not as qualified as the employer would like them to be so they deny them, but as I said some whites dont get jobs because employers dont want to be "racist"
spot light here's the thing. Nobody is denying that racism is a thing. It does exist. What not at the rate at which black people and some white people are claiming. You can't take a few stories from EEOC and say that's proof that there's white supremacy and that white people are holding black people back from being something in this country. There is no proof that says a black man or woman can't go out here and go to school and get an amazing job and do amazing things. The left is actually saying that black people are weak. They are saying that black people can't do anything basically without complaining. But I'm the racist because I don't believe that black people as a whole are weak? I don't think so. It's completely hypocritical and absolutely not true that racism is such a problem that there is white supremacy.
I am not a victim, no matter how many times I have been victimized. I will not let anyone have that power over my mind and heart. Especially those who mean to do me harm. Stay strong people and pray, pray, pray. God loves all his children!

Hurts to say this but no one has done more DAMAGE to the black community than liberals and democrats. There are actually plenty of them, but coming from Baltimore white people are not a threat to innocent American, Black people are not a threat, but those who are excused and given breaks because they have justifications for their behavior is the biggest threat. Want racism, find yourself in a middle of a riot facing down 30-40 people, no one wanted to be the first to try to touch me, so some started yelling for gasoline to set my white A on fire. the victim mentally is no 100% explained it is not solely becaz they need to stop thinking that they are the victims, It is rather than they see it as IMPOSSIBLE TO IMPROVE THEIR CONDITION OF THEMSELVES AND OUTSIDE RACIST PEOPLE. BECAZ BEING A VICTIM WILL GIVE THEM A CONDITION ALWAYS LIKE THAT, yes an african american can improve by stop looking at themselve as a victim ONLY IF THEY THINK BEING A VICTIM WILL MAKE NO OPTION FOR THEM TO IMPROVE. but,..... The thing that could make themselves IMPROVE THE MOST IS: even though you know you are the victim, you see HOPE and see it BOTH WAYS and see if I can't change them that well, i could change myself to UNTIL GETTING TO A POINT WHERE IMPROVED SELF ENOUGH TO BE ABLE TO CHANGE RACIST OR IGNORANT PPL and work together with people. so in conclusion the current popular manifestation of the victim mentality need HOPE and BE SHOWN THAT THEY CAN DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT BY LOOKING BOTH WAYS AND 1ST IMPROVING THEMSELVES TO IMPROVES OTHERS that IMPROVES EVERYONE or they can look at short goals and see themselves as not a victim, which MABE CAN make them think SHIT ABOUT THEM SELVES, I have more argument / innovation to this video's ideas
I grew up in a lower middle class black neighborhood in the country. We didn't have issues at all. All kids were in school, everybody went to church, kids got along well, almost no crime. This was in the 90s to 2004
Yeah, I think it’s important to note that there are safe majority-black neighborhoods (like mine which was majority African and Carribbean), but there’s no real reason for those to make the news so they’re usually overlooked. Still, the fact that the majority of them are violent and unsafe is still a cause for concern and sends the message that doing things the same way for this long hasn’t been working.
His face when he said Proliferation of Baby Mamas was like, "Yea, I said it." LOL This was a very informative video. I'm going to have to borrow his term "victimology." I think this is crippling the young people of all sexes, religions, creeds, and ethnicities.
I clicked on this video thinking I would HATE EVERYTHING shared here. I'M SHOCKED TO SAY, I agree with EVERY SINGLE POINT TAKEN IN THIS VIDEO 100%!!!!!!!!!! This video speaks to EXACTLY WHAT I HATE ABOUT Majority Black cultural choices across the spectrum of human reality. I'm a successful black man. I have a VERY Good Job and live well. I have 13 disabilities, autism, I am gay and I am also black. With all those issues supposedly working against me my family told me I have NO RIGHT AT ALL TO THINK MYSELF A VICTIM! My grandparents who rasied me used to say, so you know well your challenges NOW what are you doing to do to overcome your challenges and become successful. I was taught that the victim mentality was NOT AN OPTION and it would NOT be entertained under any circumstance! White people are NOT to blame for the problems in the black community. In todays culture black people enslave themselves via all the points raised in this video. Granted White people have engineered society so it is VERY Easy for weak minded black people to destroy their own opportunities but today for black people failure is a choice! The truth is some WHITE folk might be racist and love being racist against black folk. What so few black people know is that MOST WHITE FOLK like making money far more than they care about my skin color. I found if I have the skills needed to make white folk money I get paid well. White people might hate black but they LOVE GREEN! Money Green is the color of success today and to be successful the first thing you must do is murder that black as victim mentality. I'm a black man and I am no bodies VICTIM! The way to get the white man to respect you is make yourself valuable to his competitors in the economic system. The only people valuable today are those who have something of value to offer in the economy. Nobody cares about your intrinsic value as a human being, mom or child. Oh yeah we all pay lip services to the rights of Women, children and man but in reality no one gives a S**T about your individual or family humanity! Today everyone is valued based on what much they can contribute to the local or national economy. Your success is directly linked to how much and how well you have invested in yourself. Black people generally do not invest much into self improvement. Black people focus on immediate gratification rather than strategic planning. The successful White majority values strategic planning in every aspect of life more than almost anything else. Successful White people will eat grass and stones today in order to invest in a better tomorrow. I'd rather invest in my 401K today than but that pair of $300.00 Air Jordans. I'd rather pay for a $1000.00 college class than buy that $2,000 65 inch Smart TV. I'd rather eat Mac & Cheese for 4 years slogging through college on the cheap rather than live better for now. I'd rather put off having babies till I was financially secure than have 5 kids that leave me unable to invest in a college education. Hell if I wanted to have kids I'd freeze a ton of my little swimmers as a young black man then get a vasectomy. That way I can have wild sex without babies before and during college. Then when I'm college educated and financially secure. I'll find the right woman we hit the thaw out doctor and we can pop out kids faster than Henry Ford's assembly line. You invest in your future first then branch out!
That's what I'm saying man! Thank God 2. Thank God we don't live in Obama's America anymore but instead a great America again! I mean I hate when I hear people talking about empowering the black community! As far as I'm concerned the only thing needed to empower the black community is maybe putting up a basketball goal. Goodness it's just a breath of fresh air to read everyone on this comments section finally stop caring about a disproportionate amount of black people being killed by police or unfair sentencing or all the years of slavery and Jim Crow, if they ever existed in the first place. That's cool like, I wasn't given a trust fund when I was a little kid like our president! I was just able to get into the best schools without any of the crime and all the other crap in the inner city schools. And yeah I got to go to private schools and then because of that I barely had to work to get into an Ivy League school, and one of my parents weren't rich I easily got it all paid for because you know like I said I didn't go to a shity inner city school so I was able to get loans and I even barely had to work in college. I get so frustrated all I hear is about how all of my white privilege is a bad thing. I know so many black people, well I don't actually know any black people, but I always hear so many black people talk about how bad the schools are and how it's impossible to get a loan and how hard they had to work and blah blah blah blah blah. Anyways thank goodness we have incredible "universities" like this one run by rich old white guys who are willing to find black people who are actually okay with being exploited because Lord knows thewhite guys who wrote these episodes and started this incredible"school" could never actually say the things that they believe in a public forum like this. I mean yes trump has made it so skinheads and Arians and even the clan don't feel nervous about marching and speaking up and letting their hate out but we're not yet in a place where too rich old white guys are allowed to just come on and try to convince black people that even though they can't stand black people, and theyREALLY can't stand that black people vote for the party that would actually help them ,and actually do it themselves. I mean I'd like to see a world where old rich republican white guys can just blatantly come out and try to trick a few of the more gullible black dudes and try to convince them to vote against their own interests and do it with impunity. Oh well this is a start. between s*** like this and all of the ways we've made it harder and in some cases and possible for blacks and poor people in general to be able to vote at all, we're living in a great time.
"Grandparents used to say now that you know well you challenges, what are you going to do to become successful" is admitting that we are the victims of displacement. As children, we didn't ask to be here, nor to be birthed in such political disarray. To be born behind the curb, and now quilted into taking responsibility for something someone else is accountable for. Now I agree that we have the power to change our situation, but in order to do so, you have to acknowledge the mess we are in, and the FACT that we didn't originally place ourselves here. Your granny hinted to it by saying, now that you well know our challenges; who decided that? Who passed out information to every black household making them aware of their current disposition? Our people are heavily misinformed on the intricate ways we have been left behind, but we are supposed to act on such little knowledge? Just makes it easier to make mistakes. I feel instead of blaming the victim, inform them. Educate them. You would be doing your people more justice that way, than by leaving them behind to suffer and die.
This is such an interesting comment. I loved the phrase, "White people might hate black, but they love green." Even if black people cannot be convinced that we do not hate them (we, as in, I am a white woman) perhaps they could believe that we put that aside for the love of green. I think you have an awesome attitude for all the things you have piled against you and I love the way you approached the discussion about race. I love that black people are talking about this and pushing back against the label of race traitor. I love the honest and simplisity in your ideas and there were several points that you touched on that had never once occurred to me. So thank you for posting this :)
@spot light not stupid. Racism is 2 parts. 1. Its a feeling. How are you going to control people's feelings to stop them from feeling a certain way? How are you going to get people to stop hating others? You cant and you never will. 2. It's action based on those feelings. As stated you cant control people's feelings, but you can punish people when they act upon them. Youre free to not like someone, youre not free to attack and hurt them. You're never going to end racism..just like youll never stop murderers from killing... I mean murder is illegal yet people still commit murder. You can only punish them after the act is done. So if you wait until racism is gone...well youre gonna be waiting forever.
Love your take on single mothers being celebrated and father's being demonized. My mom grew up in Chicago and a whole lot of people were jealous of the Robert Taylor Homes and Cabrini green housing projects when they went up..She saif they were beautiful. Thomas Sowell wrote how they would leave their doors unlocked and sleep outside when it was hot. On Saturday mornings all the doors would be open so the kids would run around and go to the places with televisions to watch cartoons..Then the welfare system would punish homes that had both parents , so the dad's would disappear, there are 70 factors in a child's development that suffer when the father or mother are absent..fast forward 50 years and ...well........
"Then the welfare system would punish homes that had both parents..." And that somehow prevented a father from supporting his children? This is the "victimology" that is mentioned in the video. Thanks for making his point.
One of these days I’m going to run for office and sentence women to 10 years if they bring a child into this world out of wedlock. If we don’t take drastic action nothing will change!
Say it! That story has been suppressed. I had heard of families where 3 generations never worked because it was easier to have children and get paid for it. What kind of business is that? Where is the personal worth of working for a living ... Contributing? Welfare was supposed to be a stopgap system to help. I never could figure out how it would be helpful to disallow a father to be with his own family. I always saw that as a way to insure failure of the family, which is failure of the child, which is failure of the future. After they made that decision, things just got worse. That only goes to show you can't always rely on others to make the best decision for you, no matter how lofty they believe their position is.
If you consider yourself responsible for your problems, then you are the one who can fix your problems. It makes life hard, but you are in control of your life. Succeed or fail, it's all on you. But if you consider others responsible for your problems, then you are no longer in control of your life. Your happiness and satisfaction with life depends on the acts of other people - people you cannot control. It makes life easier for you - you need do nothing but elect people who will save you. (e.g, lowlife, pandering politicians.) Except, they never do - they can't. They just keep reassuring you that you need THEM to make life better for you, because you're helpless to do it yourself. I see the appeal and see why it's an easy sell. It's too bad it destroys the lives of those who buy it.
I sorta disagree. Considering yourself responsible for your problems doesn't make life harder. It makes life easier and less complicated. When you know and realize your success or failure depends on you, it makes you more dedicated to improve, and builds your relationships with others. Accountability goes a long way.
I agree, I have no problem with someone having a different opinion than me, all I ask is that they educate themselves. Them make a mature, responsible, educated decision about what you think is right. And oh yeh, think for yourself, not what someone else tells you to think.
If you dont stand for something, you will fall for anything. As we are witnessing now. They very people complaining of not enough infrastructures are the same ones burning and pillaging their own cities. Sawing off the tree limb they are sitting on. LOL
+spot light You didn't pay attention to the end of the video. He said that racism isn't on the list NOT because it isn't a problem, but because these other five problems have to be fixed FIRST, and then AFTERWARDS the issue of racism can be fairly examined and addressed. He's saying that it's true that your shoes are untied, but you can't fix that problem until you put laces in the shoes. Fix the problems INSIDE the black community, and then you can work with non-blacks to address the outside challenge of racism.
Mech Para If he was president, leftist labor organization would go into another dark era like during the Cold War. Whether conservatives believe it or not, business needs to be regulated to some extent and we need labor unions. Instead, they like to think, "Oh, we'll just sit back and watch it all happen" and, "Well, you can't have government regulating business because then we'll be dependent on the government!" No shit. That's just what has to happen sometimes. The left and the right have the same make-or-break factor: Trusting in your elected officials to not abuse power. Vote for the person who can do the job best, and if they're corrupt, vote them out.
to mention "racism", I must add. I was taught as a child growing up, to respect hard work, honesty & such. When you dislike someone that's a lazy, lieing, thief & he's white. Most people see you as "moral" for staying clear of such people. When you even mention this about someone & they're black, suddenly you're a "racist". Why is this?
Shannon williams - Because it's The thinking mentality, It's Wrong, I apologize to You. Would be nice for Many People to Raise awareness with this Truth. That's A Good Start..
Delique Allen - Nope Not me- Sir But yes Many have and it's sickening. And some have to learn to get away from that old traditional thinking it's killing us. And doing Harm to others. Where do we start.?
You brought white up. smh You were trying to be slick in your comment about whites not killing blacks. When infact, they kill us everyday mam. You didn't know??? lol
Rage Studios It can't resonate because of 1 problem: They're demonizing progressives again. If they didn't have that part, it would be perfect. But that's just what PragerU does.
everyone has an opinion about what is wrong with black community but I don't see no one drafting up plans to correct those problems. words without action is just hot air
Because it can’t be fixed by “drafting up plans” or anything else the government could do. It starts within the individual. PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY PEOPLE.
D baby mama part got me. I've been saying this 4 ages!!! We black women want other people to respect us, but some of us keep disrespecting ourselves. I'm not saying being a baby mama is ridiculous, I'm just saying it's definitely bad when we try to make it a trend!!! It's so sad. 🤦🤦🤦
Agreed, it's just human nature to be more comfortable to act in ways that are detrimental to self and/or society when you see everyone else around you doing it also. Babies born out of wedlock have always been, but since the 60s, with a lot of help from government programs like welfare, casual sex has become the norm, nothing to be ashamed of. Well, not just the black community, but America as a whole is paying a terrible price for this blinding of morality. Abortion, STDs, and children being raised by one parent are the terrible end result. You nailed it when you stated that a lady is disrespecting herself to given to this lie of hell, part of the whole feminist doctrine, that to have uncommitted sex is ok, and empowering to a woman. This is not a woman's nature, to be willing or wanting to have loose, empty meaningless sex, and this nature traditionally made women far more respectable, the ones to be able to say no usually as a result. As a society, we've all been duped here in America, and we're paying a terrible price. Take care.
What a really enjoyable and well argued viewpoint. Not everything mentioned here I totally agree with, but I'm here to be challenged and educated, and this is more what I expect and want from PragerU
Holy shit - a sad day when I stumble on a conservative TH-cam channel and realise they're making more sense than those of the left on a lot of issues. Have I become a conservative, or are the Left just becoming too progressive at the cost of reason?
Conservatism isn’t so bad, so at least you’re figuring out that the left is non-factual and inconsistent. Most of the left doesn’t actually know what many of their inner policies are because they spend too much time focusing on feeling rather than policy. I’d say you’re just coming to the truth. But probably realizing the left is just not a good side to be on if you want reason.
Personally I don’t believe in assigning political labels. If you’ve found a TH-cam channel (regardless of its political leanings) that you agree with on one or more issues after hearing all the relevant facts and viewpoints, that is simply your honest opinion, and there’s no shame in that.
What this man says is true to varying degrees. I am highly pro black but I'm considered an uncle tom simply because I'm not a thug and I don't idolize those guys. We also need to encourage black businesses, buy black and hire black. I'm not a black republican but I would definitely work with them if it will help break the cycle. The problem we have affects us all regardless of party lines.
Black Businesses, buy black, hire black? Blacks have to first be able to get along with each other. So much jealousy and dissention among one another. displaced priorities and anger. Thank goodness for our churches.
I want to make an observation on matters of behavior. I noticed in the 90s a certain distinction between different types of black boys. Invariably the black boy who behaved like a civilized Christian man had a father in the home. And he knew if he behaved as badly as certain other blacks that he would get punted over the house when he got home. It was the fatherless welfare bastards who would break property, steal stuff and generally cause mayhem and disruption pretty much everywhere they went.
Oppresion of the Patriarchy im a white guy that lives in the south. I learned racial integration long ago live in a predominantly black neighborhood. When we were kids i met a couple black kids no mama just dad who was a strong military man that raised his 2 kids to be totally successful adults. Despite the didtance we are still friends 30 years later. So its bs to say ya cant stand up and get out of it .
These are the same issues plaguing the Latin community. We are going in the same direction. It’s sad. It used to be that we had very deep rooted family values and work ethic and now we are becoming victims of the same mentality.
I 100% agree with you, I'm Spanish and Native Taino, born and raised in America, and our Latin culture in my opinion is being overturned, and the objects of our culture that show appreciation of beauty, honesty, and love are perverted into objects of lust, violence, and strife, again in my opinion. What I just mentioned is why I tend to listen to old classical music from the mid to early twentieth century, old mariachi, Spanish guitar etc, I don't want to be part of the destructive popular culture that in my opinion is ruining Latin American society.
I know a lot of hate came for their video about how men just need to step up and get married. They completely ignored how women and feminism have played a role in reducing marriage rates. And it seemed odd, logically, that they pointed to an example of a guy who got married, and then felt the motivation to get a better job, and the job he got paid 20% more. Clearly 20% more, when you are paying at least one other person's bills, and more if you have children, is a net loss of a lot. They tried to make 20% sound like a great thing, like, 'don't you want more money?'
Yep. The underclass is subject to all failed liberal policies more than any other class. It's forced into submission and while middle-class people bitch about the police and oppression, they never turn to the extreme poor, who despite living in society, experience a lifestyle of violence, abuse, rape, starvation, drugs, child negligence and murder on a daily basis. No public liberal policy relating to socialism has ever helped the caste that is the underclass.
Boerger plays welfare give single women more benefits than if they're married or in a relationship with the father. So why would they stay with the father if they can get more benefits without him
Here's some solutions to the sexism present in the gov't today: 1. Welfare should be reformed so it won't be so sexist. (if that's what's really happening in welfare and former husbands aren't benefiting so well) 2. Allow women to be infantrymen and rangers.
This is one brave black man who is heard loud and clear by this white man. May we all live together as brothers and sisters acknowledging our differences while appreciating them as able and may we help each other become better human beings.
The MOST intelligent thing I've ever read was in your book Black Lies Matter when you gave the example of blacks dominating in Baltimore and still blaming racism, while using the example if gays were dominating the town over and then said we're not succeeding because of the hatred for homosexuals. That sounds so ridiculous. You truly are one of the most intelligent human beings I've ever encountered on you tube or from Twitter. Your books are amazing and I highly recommend them but DO NOT read them in public. I tried that once and almost got killed. Many blessings to you and your loved ones Mr. Starke. Captain Thomas, U.S.M.C
Wow!! This is great to hear from a black man. I lived in the inner city for years, and lived this culture. What he said is true. Thanks so much for this video.
I CANNOT THANK YOU ENOUGH FOR THIS VIDEO!!! It came up as an Ad, and it is such a BLESSING!!!! HOWEVER... these traits are deeper than you think! It is not only with African American but also in the CARIBBEAN! It’s a mentality, overall that keeps these behaviors growing and causing more destruction than what any other race could have inflicted upon us!!! Please Note : Other races does NOT have enough power to control you, as your mind does!!!! I am from Jamaica... I have seen these traits in my family and in the communities I grew up! The only difference is that, since Jamaica is not dominated by white race... so the blame goes on to GOVERNMENT/Politicians, failed relationships, old friends, and most commonly the neighbors! But there is always a long list of “they” are giving me a fight!-- “they” are holding me back and the most common one is “they” have bad mind against me!!!! Meaning, it’s always SOMEONE’S FAULT!!! I have nothing to do with my own failures! The day you begin to realize your OWN POWER is the day you may begin to think clearer. Faulty thinking and irresponsible behaviors creates a vast majority of our problems!!! Taking Responsibility for every decision we make, can be a very good start towards making some progress!
Two words I STRONGLY see represented here. *Personal Responsibility* and I'm thankful for men like you, and others who talk about these things. Mostly because I can't talk about them. Stay strong.
I am an American who happens to be a female of African decent and I agree 100% with this message. We are our own problem! It starts in the home.
A lot in life has a lot to do with ome's attitude and how one approaches problems.
Sutzy Ku poisonous tribalism keeps people stuck too
The problems started way before it entered our homes ma'am. Now we have to get the elephant out the room
What's eye-opening is that the same problems are happening in white communities with same results. Not racial related, but a cultural shift away from nuclear families and the results are crippling. In other video they talk about doing three things. Graduate high school, don't have children out of wedlock, and get a job.
💯
no matter who you are it starts with something very simple: taking responsibility for yourself.
Nonso Okonkwo take responsibility for yourself
Nonso Okonkwo black people in this country are several generations removed from systematic oppression. They have access to free education. They hold political positions, they own business, they dominate the most popular pro sports making millions of dollars, they are celebrities in all forms. The person who runs the company I work for is black. They have the same choices every one else has at this point.
@@zacharyparis you can't argue with q low iq group of ppl. I'm blk and I enjoy every time a thug or baby momma gets terminated. It's the only way the world will be better
@spot light yeah. The democrats have enslaved blacks mentally.
Still feel this way?
God I have been saying this for years. This is all so true. Applause for someone else recognizing this and speaking on it.
Yeah, he ain't wrong in the slightest.
Hell, this shouldn't apply to only blacks. Anyone with these issues and with the victimology ought to learn this!
Ok but there's no action by and large. So it's gonna get worse and is getting worse. ( buckle up a rough ride coming)
People do recognize it. You're the example. You've changed so many minds in your life and don't even know it.
@Reason 73This is America and anyone has the right to think for themselves. Perhaps it is YOU the one who is mentality deranged, understand?
im black and i've been saying this for a couple years now, thankful someone has finally brought it up
Still think this?
It is much harder to inspect yourself than blaming others. My respect to this man!
As a black man,way to go bro.our race needs more black people like you !

Brother Reed Lose that single mother raised victimology. It cripples you.

People's problems do not start with themselves.
People's problems start the moment they are born, through no fault of their own.
Unless you are at war, then your problems likely stem from others

What about all the tests before that because that's what we're really fighting for
@sunrisespark You are absolutely right! Democrats want to harm black people and minorities in general. #Trump2020
@sunrisespark you're delusional look at Texas one of the most Republican states ever with one of the biggest prostitution rings in the world. Not to mention the fact that Trump stood behind Maxwell and said that Epstein was a "great guy". On top of that he flew with the guy at least once that we know of! love when Prager gives the hard truth
What hard truth, none white ppl tend to be more likely to be stop by cops or shot at.
Yes
No hard truth!

It is not 100% truth. Jesse Lee Peterson says the same thing. It is not recieved, because when you Google the modern day stats you see that there is alot more going on than what he is pointing to. But here is another. it doesn't show what i wanted, but you will see that this kind of talk does not cover the whole subject.
Yes if they teach this in the media we could wake people up!
K C , the white mainstream media won't allow it to be shown. They don't want black people to get ahead. They do the same with Hispanics, because they won't stop illegal immigration. Our two communities are marginalized because of the leftists lyndon Johnson style racism!

spot light How so?
Well said.
@spot light That is because those black people being denied are less qualified. You act like it is just race
Very direct, very accurate, and much needed. Thanks.
spot light you mean the one on white people? Cause that's pretty much the only racism in the west right now
I gotcha
spot light Where do you see them being discriminated
spot light I'm not saying your wrong. But have you done research on some of these cases to get the full story?
spot light here's the thing.

Victimhood is also a lot easier than working hard, educating oneself, saving, and cooperating with the community.
Edward Harley what if someone works hard, educate, save and do what they can do to get ahead in live, do they also practise victimhood if they just point the struggles involving the community?
@@lion_inv2584 sorry, I just hate to see questions left unanswered, even from 7 months ago 😁...
Of course there's nothing wrong with recognizing wrongs of a society, you would be deaf blind and dumb not to. The question is, does this become your focus? Are you now going to stop doing what you know is right because of the wrongs of another or others?disrupt the community and bring harm to others because you've been victimized? Repay evil for evil, in other words? Do you now feel inclined to become like them, or get back at them, instead of just moving forward and forgiving?
Imagine if we all did that, excused our own terrible wrongs because others do wrong too. Wow, what an incredible mess we would be in! Well, the mess we're in lS bad and getting worse, and this is part of it. Because we all have sinned, we all want to make excuses and justify doing so, because it's easier, it feels good.
That's the catalyst for victim mentality. It's not always easy, but we all have to rise above this mess. Selflessness and maturity go a long way towards doing so. Just respecting our conscience.

I agree, but to be fair, all he came up with were the problems, not the solutions. The majority of Blacks can't even agree upon or admit the problems, let alone agree upon solutions.
Maybe, deep inside black people don't want to live like crazy white people! The traditional African way of life (before white people came with their merchant ships) was much better and in balance with nature. Folks need to progress and live how they want to live in a natural way.
Hell no i disagree you are a product of your environment and at times racial discriminated so jay z was playing the "blame game" when he made the story of OJ no! there were times in my life that i didnt get opportunities because stereotypes and i still get stereo typed and i am bilingual and never went to college to learn either quit it

Wow. Your comment wasn't racist at all. Lol you are a disgrace. Africans were enslaving each other and caving each other's skulls in for millennia before White people came to Africa. Life in ancient Africa was brutal and short. If you think it was some kind of utopia, you are a fool. There were very few advanced civilizations or technologies and Africans were engaged in near-constant tribal warfare. There is archeological evidence proves everything I've said. If you want to talk about being colonized and enslaved, it began with Arab Muslims in the 7th century. Yeah, that's 700 years before Europeans traveled to Africa and enslaved any Black person. Educate yourself FFS.
sure it was a hard-knock life, but what if Africa was left alone? They could progress and develop on their own. (or stay the same) The one thing with Asians and white people is; they can suck up their own pride and function in a bigger system. They can hide away their true feelings and instincts. (repressed/shy/introvert) Africans and muslim males are generally more proud, loud and alpha.

Hurts to say this but no one has done more DAMAGE to the black community than liberals and democrats. It was liberal policies of the 60's and 70's that DESTROYED black inner city communities and the black FAMILY unit - the one thing that (ironically) made the black community much stronger, moral, and less violent back in the 40's and 50's.
Also look at black pop culture.- some of the most BEAUTIFUL and SOULFUL music came from black artists/groups from the 50's through the 70's. Nowadays it's horrible rap music that denigrates women and glorifies thug culture. Sad what the left has done to blacks and just about everything else they touch.

THIS VEDIO IS RACIST..MAKE A VIDEO FOR THE PROBLEMS WITH THE WHITE COMMUNITY..... MASS SHOOTINGS, SEXUAL ASSULT, DOMESTIC VIOLENCE - WHITES WILL ALWAYS BE THE BIGGEST THREAT TO THE INNOCENT AMERICAN CITIZENS
But any notion of it being racial quickly dissipated as it was the black hotel staff that realized the situation I was in and got me into a cab and taken to safety.
You chance of finding yourself in a mass shooting is much less then finding yourself a victim of Baltimore's streets. Perspective is everything.
the victim mentally is no 100% explained it is not solely becaz they need to stop thinking that they are the victims,
It is rather than they see it as IMPOSSIBLE TO IMPROVE THEIR CONDITION OF THEMSELVES AND OUTSIDE RACIST PEOPLE. BECAZ BEING A VICTIM WILL GIVE THEM A CONDITION ALWAYS LIKE THAT, yes an african american can improve by stop looking at themselve as a victim ONLY IF THEY THINK BEING A VICTIM WILL MAKE NO OPTION FOR THEM TO IMPROVE.
but,..... The thing that could make themselves IMPROVE THE MOST IS: even though you know you are the victim, you see HOPE and see it BOTH WAYS and see if I can't change them that well, i could change myself to UNTIL GETTING TO A POINT WHERE IMPROVED SELF ENOUGH TO BE ABLE TO CHANGE RACIST OR IGNORANT PPL and work together with people.
so in conclusion the current popular manifestation of the victim mentality need HOPE and BE SHOWN THAT THEY CAN DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT BY LOOKING BOTH WAYS AND 1ST IMPROVING THEMSELVES TO IMPROVES OTHERS that
IMPROVES EVERYONE
or they can look at short goals and see themselves as not a victim, which MABE CAN make them think SHIT ABOUT THEM SELVES,
I have more argument / innovation to this video's ideas

Yeah, I think it’s important to note that there are safe majority-black neighborhoods (like mine which was majority African and Carribbean), but there’s no real reason for those to make the news so they’re usually overlooked. Still, the fact that the majority of them are violent and unsafe is still a cause for concern and sends the message that doing things the same way for this long hasn’t been working.

@Canis Lupus: Basically . . . you're advocating the Malcolm X formula that he made work so successfully in early 1960s.
@ canis lupus _ no relation to the disease I hope. Here, here, sir.
“””Waiting until there are no more racists will mean
waiting, and making excuses, forever.””
Simply profound.
@spot light not stupid.
Ummm.... you realize you just proved him (this video)WRONG not right
"Then the welfare system would punish homes that had both parents..."
And that somehow prevented a father from supporting his children?
Great video sir! I 100% agree! And I will have all 6 of my boys watch this ( yes I am married to their father lol 😂).

@@johnadams247 spot on. People need to be able to back up their own beliefs. Otherwise, they don't even know their own cause.
If you dont stand for something, you will fall for anything. As we are witnessing now. They very people complaining of not enough infrastructures are the same ones burning and pillaging their own cities. Sawing off the tree limb they are sitting on. LOL
It's not about race, it's about culture. Until that starts to change, nothing will change. Spot on video.
WOW!!!! Im sharing this mess on facebook NOW!!!! Single handed revelations of things we dont want the world to know!!! Keep doing your thing Prager U.
what?
This should have been our black president
True obama cant even fix shit evendo he spend 9trilion of dollar
Vote for the person who can do the job best, and if they're corrupt, vote them out.
by that logic Asians would be failing as well same with Hispanics... but both of those groups are still doing way better than African Americans...
@@Ryanlexz To fix the economy Clinton caused and Bush let happen, learn economics please!
I love that other black folks are watching these videos too. And they see the things I’ve seen for years! That gives me some hope.
to mention "racism", I must add.

Delique Allen - Nope Not me- Sir
But yes Many have and it's sickening.
And some have to learn to get away from that old traditional thinking it's killing us. And doing Harm to others. Where do we start.?
Shannon williams double standards
because blacks are usually stereotyped that way so people see it as an attack on skin color rather than character
I love this black man for telling the truth. You are lovely tely
You love him because he deflects white crimes. Who wouldn't love him white???
You brought white up. smh You were trying to be slick in your comment about whites not killing blacks. When infact, they kill us everyday mam. You didn't know??? lol
WOW! if that message resonate it could lead to big positive change
Rage Studios It can't resonate because of 1 problem: They're demonizing progressives again. If they didn't have that part, it would be perfect. But that's just what PragerU does.
“Urban terrorist” seem to make up too much pop culture nowadays 😪
"When are we gonna stop doing this to one another?" - Uncle Phil, Fresh Prince
There need to be more people like this, more videos like this, more awareness like this. Well done, sir! Well said!
everyone has an opinion about what is wrong with black community but I don't see no one drafting up plans to correct those problems. words without action is just hot air
I'm working on it
ronald daugherty democrats don't want to fix the problems. Democrats want minorities to think without them they will lose welfare.
Because it can’t be fixed by “drafting up plans” or anything else the government could do. It starts within the individual. PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY PEOPLE.
We can start by not having children we can not afford. Get a good education and make better choices with our lives.
Build better schools for kids of color and they will have sense to know that an educated mind will keep them from smoking dope and gang banging.
Hearing you say this is a breath of fresh air. Thank you, Taleeb Starkes.
Take care.
I'm admired and a bit surprised that this video hasn't been censored yet.
I'm surprised it got recommended to me, as I have seen this before... but it was a welcome surprise.
What a really enjoyable and well argued viewpoint. Not everything mentioned here I totally agree with, but I'm here to be challenged and educated, and this is more what I expect and want from PragerU
Great message
We need more brothers like this in our communities.
Share the information, asked questions, challenge their thoughts, love them.
Holy shit - a sad day when I stumble on a conservative TH-cam channel and realise they're making more sense than those of the left on a lot of issues. Have I become a conservative, or are the Left just becoming too progressive at the cost of reason?
nah, you are just a racist liberal. iz all gud
Luke Glanford Take the red pill man. Take it.
Personally I don’t believe in assigning political labels. If you’ve found a TH-cam channel (regardless of its political leanings) that you agree with on one or more issues after hearing all the relevant facts and viewpoints, that is simply your honest opinion, and there’s no shame in that.
This so true. Thank you for coming forward.
KEEP IT UP PRAGER!!!!
The Exile that's positive discrimination. Hiring only black people is awful. The best person for the job is how it should always be
Black Businesses, buy black, hire black? Blacks have to first be able to get along with each other. So much jealousy and dissention among one another. displaced priorities and anger. Thank goodness for our churches.
Every black person in America needs to see this video. Great video 👌
I saw it... and it’s BS
I can’t love this video enough as a black woman!!!
I was waiting for a excelent video like this. Well done!
Most Hispanics don’t have victim mentality
Superb, I congratulate Mr. Thaleb for his courage in speak the truth.
I don't really get why people hate on so many videos on this channel. I think they are just perfectly objectively presented.
Because they don't like calm and reasonable discussions.
Well they're not all objective by any means. This channel is a clear cut and dry conservative bias channel... not that it's bad but just sayin
If this channel is a clear cut and dry conservative biased channel, conservatives are right in more then just the political spectrum.
_"video said men just need to step up and get married"_
3:44 sounds exactly the opposite to me. You even watched the video before you commented on it?
Feminism and the sexual revolution are to blame as well. Don't leave them out.
true. feminism and the sexual revolution is why more black children are murdered in the womb than born in places like ny.
Feminism is The Great Filter.
feminism does not affect black people at all lol
Um... I'm talking about the underclass and yeah there are black people in the underclass, lots of them.
Blame The welfare system about the baby mom culture
Bowzy Minnesoldier can you explain to me what that is
Boerger plays welfare give single women more benefits than if they're married or in a relationship with the father. So why would they stay with the father if they can get more benefits without him
Here's some solutions to the sexism present in the gov't today:
1. Welfare should be reformed so it won't be so sexist. (if that's what's really happening in welfare and former husbands aren't benefiting so well)
2. Allow women to be infantrymen and rangers.
or you could blame something that actually caused it like the war on drugs and the three strikes law.
Bowzy, That attitude completely absolves the woman of any responsibility.
Hallelujah! Thanks for speaking truth!
This is one brave black man who is heard loud and clear by this white man. May we all live together as brothers and sisters acknowledging our differences while appreciating them as able and may we help each other become better human beings.
In my opinion, this is one of best, clearest and most direct prager u video I've ever seen. Keep up the good work!
This was amazing.
Truth, truth, and more truth...thank you!
"The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars, but in ourselves, that we are underlings".
Two words I STRONGLY see represented here. *Personal Responsibility* and I'm thankful for men like you, and others who talk about these things. Mostly because I can't talk about them. Stay strong.
