This just proves we need judges back on the field. I respect what the Cavies did this year but no way were they this clean with half the notes. Granted this is not a field tape so maybe it wasn't so clean on field. But this was really impressive the way the 6's, 5s, 3s, 9s etc all were woven through the book and they interchanged pretty seamlessly. Mad respect to the writers and all the hands of you folks who marched last summer.
this does not prove that lmao, cavies were way cleaner on the move which is what matters, not a lot video. less notes but more clean will always beat more notes but not as clean ESPECIALLY on the move
I’m late as hell to respond but with this crazy writing with so many notes and them moving on the field from basically end zone to end zone is such a disadvantage to others like the cavs. Cavs were playing “simpler” music (even though simple is def not the word) and had drill that wasn’t as demanding with the hands. It made for Cavaliers to be much cleaner and pull off their music better.
As a drumline instructor I appreciate you taking the time to do this. This is great for students to learn and for old farts like me to see if I still have it. Spoiler... I don't haha. But really great tool for my drumline kids who just want to eat all this stuff up. Thanks so much
I was fortunate to witness them live in Indy in the lot. What an amazing group of performers. Their focus, attention to detail, and precision. Gave me goosebumps. I really hope they can bring in the Sanford this year. They are so deserving.
Look at every group’s book and tell me one that isn’t full of triplet or sixteenth note rolls. It’s an east coast book, you think they’re gonna have a bunch of open space?

Cavaliers were far cleaner in general but especially on the move, I saw both shows on semis night.

Pit book was very easy. Less hard than phantoms imo. Definitely part of the problem.

This is the most insane book ever written.
They should’ve been right behind Cavaliers 😒
pit is apart of perc scores
5th place😒
Quitting
6 minutes of triplets and 16th note rolls...That's cool. I guess

Upload a video of you playing that snare break and get back to me
Typical west coast punks hating on the east coast
