  • Tucker (@tuck_garage on IG, tuckerholladay.com/mySite/ ) sent me a nice package. In this video I unpack it and explain to you (and my son) what you are looking at. Tuck's dad was a ham radio operator, just like mine. I am an active ham with the call sign W2SW. I enjoy many aspects of ham radio, and it is what led me to my profession of being an antenna designer and consultant. (See also antennasys.com)
You probably know me for making flat rocks... but, I am so much more. My friends say More On. Thank you all.
Here is what Tuck had to say...
"My dad did Morse code when he was younger. Like in the 70s. He kept a journal of everywhere he talked to. Talked all over the world! China, Europe, you name it.
When my father passed away last year, I had put most of his stuff in storage till I could get it settled. He had a few Morse code paddles from when he was younger. He used to communicate around the world with it and used to have his ham radio license. I do not have any space to keep them and want to give them to someone who will actually use them and appreciate them."
I will treat these items with respect and promise to make some morse code contacts with them (probably the Vibroplex) in honor of his Dad, John Daniel Holladay.

    Fun times :)
I bet an interactive "Coffee and cookies with..." video with your son would be interesting too - I remember the session you did last year with your daughter..?

Cushcraft is now owned by MFJ. Unfortunately, the quality has diminished.
