I heard the songs as background music.
I agree and the movie sucks they changed to much of what made the original great. Villans weren't well written, no songs, the plot was written good, the battle scene was mediocreand no li shan. Overall everything about the movie sucks nothing about this movie stands out compared to the original. I know the live actions are supposed to be different but there are things that stand differently about both. lion king had that when timon and pumba sang be our guest instead of doing the hula.

@@miltonlopesdasilva As much as I respect Jackie Chan as an actor, Mushu is a sharp fast talker, and Jackie still struggles with English. Eddie Murphy is just to irreplaceable.
@@miltonlopesdasilva People thought he could've (still can) play Fa Zhou (Mulan's dad), throwing in a few fight scenes where he struggles with bad leg (played for laughs in this scene drawing on Chan's talent for physical comedy) would be cool!

I cracked up at the "sorry Mashup" part a bit too much that I ended up having a coughing fit (trying to get over a cold). Poor Mashup, left out in the cold, I can see the head ancestor going "told you you would be back as Gong ringer". XD
I was really disappointed in the movie but this edit is perfect
This movie got great potential both as a Disney classic live remake and as a Chinese Martial Art genera. But they ruined it with political correctness insanity.

The ending of this scene was so much more badass in the animated version. Mulan climbing the pole with only two weights was so much more encouraging than her climbing a hill with a few buckets of water over her shoulders. Try to prove me wrong.

In th first part, the ”disgrace on your family” part, I just remembered Mushu saying “Dishonor on your whole family! Dishonor on you! Dishonor on your cow!” and its quite funny really.
It's never the same without Mushu...

Disappointingly but understandably, They wanted to make it more realistic, so they removed Mushuu.
It's upsetting because; mushuu is my favorite character.

Honestly, I am so happy that after watching the new Mulan movie I was able to find this video and see an edit with both the song and the movie itself. Your edit looks so well done, and it has some humour and serious elements that make it incredible. The new movie was different but I really loved it. But I think Liu Yifei did a mistake. To be Mulan, you have to be brave and stand up for whats right, even though it could have consequenzes. That being true ist the only right way, is the most important message in this movie

That was because the House of Mouse made it for a Chinese audience, this decision has apparently not quite had the effect that Disney intended.....and I for one cannot be happier, after what they have done to Star Wars I hope Disney crash and burn.
