On the side note, I'm joining the navy soon in fact I'm going to MEPS next week and the reason I'm joining is to become a pilot and I figured Aircrew is a good post to star before going to OCS (I already have a bachelor in aviation). I wanted to know if being an aircrew entails being a pilot for one of the helicopter? or if one of the rate of aircrew is pilot and if so, which one? Thank and again Happy Bithdayyy!!!
Was it hard to get aircrew at MEPs? I know they try to pressure you into the crappy jobs that nobody wants. They were trying to put my bro on a submarine and he finally settled for AM. Anyway I am planning on enlisting after high school and getting into aircrew until I can get into OCS to become a pilot. Looks like a pretty awesome job

Hey whats up? Im currently in the DEP about to ship out to RTC in March 2013. I currently have the rate of AME but I want to volunteer for Aircrew. I was hoping you could tell me the steps of going that route (when to apply, who to talk to, ect...) My other issue is that I am currently 33 yrs old and will be 34 when I ship to RTC. Will I still be able to volunteer or am I too old??? Thanks Bob

Joining so I can go to airschool....do you know if they are too full, that's really the only reason I'm joining. I heard recruiters will low key lie about things being available so they get you to sign up and you end up with a shitty job hahah?

ship for boot in dec for AM rate. Know anything about that rate? Is there a way to go in as AM then volunteer for aircrew?
Limpid you can't volunteeer for aircrew you have to sign for it at meps.

Hey Acuna is Navy Aircrew pretty much the same as Marine AirCrew?
NACCS is intergrated for marines and navy but you split after that. Navy aircrew is less combat oriented than marine corps
