When I went through in 1979. We used to take a cooler of beer and sit on the balcony second deck watching those AOCS guys go to chow. What a show. 😂

my bday is may 14th too
I heard you mentioning in the video that your birthday is on May 14th and today happens to be May 14th, so I wanted to wish you a Happy Birthday!!!! And enjoy the beautiful play. On the side note, I'm joining the navy soon in fact I'm going to MEPS next week and the reason I'm joining is to become a pilot and I figured Aircrew is a good post to star before going to OCS (I already have a bachelor in aviation). I wanted to know if being an aircrew entails being a pilot for one of the helicopter? or if one of the rate of aircrew is pilot and if so, which one? Thank and again Happy Bithdayyy!!!

I'm gonna start posting like you did, more of a, look back kinda thing. I watched all your videos and you have set my mindset in a good path. I'm also planning to be apart of an Aircrew. I subscribed to hope one day you will post at least one more follow up video to resolve how things went for you in total with the navy. Good life man.

Hey man, I just swore in this week and I got an aircrewman contract, I was suprised to find my ship day is in about 40 days. I am phyiscally prepared for the most part. But i really do not how all of it works. I Know there are rates like AWF AWV AWO, but im confused on how you know/get those rates. Any other tips or advice you have would be great, Thank you!
+Austin Andres When you chose the aircrewman contract you should have already chose which part of the job you were going into like AWF or one of those rates. The job is aircrewman but your rate is another thing so you could call your recruiter and ask him which rate you have and if he doesnt know then just ask him which A school you will be going to because each one is a whole different study of things. My other tips would be to stay mentally prepared more so than anything else. Alot of people give up because they didnt prep before hand. Just know that you can get the training done just like so many other people. Ive seen alot of guys that I misjudged and thought there was no way they could pass yet they are the top students at the time because they were ready for anything. BTW good luck brother. +NavyLife34 I'm pretty sure when you sign an Aircrew (AIRC) contract, it won't specify a rate. You get that assigned at the end of NACCS. I could be wrong though. I just know that my AIRR contact does not specify AWR/AWS, and that I will choose/assigned the rate after Aviation Rescue Swimmer School.

I actually don't know any divers but I know the rate is hard to get in the first place but you will be in school and other training programs for a good amount of time.
NavyLife34 Is it true that if one is in an aviation rate it's easier to get attached to a squadron/wing in a specific location.

Can you explain the AiRR rate? I'm in DEPS and I'm training for a Diver Contract,I'm interested in the AiRR rate but I'm not sure what the description is as,the Aviation rates are all connected but in a very unclear way?

Was it hard to get aircrew at MEPs? I know they try to pressure you into the crappy jobs that nobody wants. They were trying to put my bro on a submarine and he finally settled for AM. Anyway I am planning on enlisting after high school and getting into aircrew until I can get into OCS to become a pilot. Looks like a pretty awesome job
Limpid you can't volunteeer for aircrew you have to sign for it at meps.

Joining so I can go to airschool....do you know if they are too full, that's really the only reason I'm joining. I heard recruiters will low key lie about things being available so they get you to sign up and you end up with a shitty job hahah?

I have a couple questions. I plan on selling my truck and getting a new car after bootcamp. What type of cars would you recommend to get based off of the check from bootcamp. My second question is how did you memorize your 11 generals orders. Thank man you are helping me out a lot!

Hey Acuna is Navy Aircrew pretty much the same as Marine AirCrew?
NACCS is intergrated for marines and navy but you split after that. Navy aircrew is less combat oriented than marine corps
