I've heard the Beatle's Walrus my whole life. I am the same age as the song. But the last year or so, John sounds more raw and untamed. The same recording too. The Walrus is an ass kicking tune. I think the Earth's vibration is increasing
I think the whole point of this song are the lyrics. They should be right up front and clear. Cian Coey is struggling to be heard, and sometimes she is just drowned out by the instruments. Instrumentally this is top notch, but they need to go back to the drawing board and get the ballance sorted out. Or get a new mixer. (I mean the person, not the hardware thingy).
One thing we might have ignored... the original voice is heavily "distorted", and filtered. Maybe Dweezils sound guy tried to emulate that sound under live conditions, and got into trouble with feed back... an example for the difficulties you may get when you use such effects like comb filter/phase shift on stage. Even the use of a Leslie effect (that they used on guitars) would make a lead voice hard to bring to the front so you can understand every word. just my 2 cents.
The tonality is too low for the voice of the singer - that's the real problem. La tonalidad de la canción le queda muy grave a la cantante, ese es el principal problema.
@@angelsanabriateran That's exactly what happens. You can't fix that in the mix. The voice volume would have to be so loud you'll get lots of feedback.
I've never thought of Dweezil that way. I'm glad he's doing what he's doing. As long as he wants to and if he decides he's done it enough, I'll be thankful for the tapes. We all see the same thing different.
Dweezil is an infinitely more accomplished musician than Dhani Harrison. And Frank Zappa's oeuvre much larger and infinitely more complex than George Harrison's. No dis to GH, whose music i love, but you make a damningly false equivalency.
This could be the recording. I've found a few live CTS shows on youtube and none them are anywhere close to what I remember of watching them in person.
Hello, i saw you all there ...whatba band ...love you all ...wish you all well and intensely thanks , kisses syll
Love me some Cian Coey no matter what she is singing.
She never missed a leg day at the gym. Daaaammmm! Talent and all that too
Mud Shark the album I was weaned on. 1971 It's been a long time but well worth it. Thanks Dweezil for keeping it alive.
Love the avatar dude!
@@deltaveedesignconsulting7697 I get a kick out of people who give me a bad time thinking it's Che. Little do they know.
I was weaned on Freak Out!
Love the guerilla Zappa a la Che avatar! 👍
@@mauricemcguillicutty4746 Most people criticize the Che part but you get it. Thanks.
I am the Walrus" was at when it came out. Thanks Dweezil and the band
We loved the concert in Utrecht. Thanks for the post
Never seen him not playing Zappa. Best Beatles cover I ever heard.
Not until you've heard how Spooky Tooth covered this song!!
I saw him on this tour so I heard it. I was shocked tbh.
It's a reference to Frank playing it on the '88 tour, where they did a whole Beatles medley.
Spooky Tooth is much better!!!
Jim Carrey version rocks !!😊 th-cam.com/video/7MoWQSe3txY/w-d-xo.html
Well done! Speaks for itself

Still flying with Studebaker Hawk...accomplished...Peace & Love

I agree... either the live mix was not so great, or the post production.
Exactly Or she she has no voice or a lousy mixer.

Was there
Ciao Coey no just!
Nobody can do a beatle song justice. I mean nobody
Dweezil does the cello parts well on his guitar
Well done cover. That said he will always be under his fathers musical shade and fame. Just like Dhani Harrison.

Frank thought the beatles were “ all right”.
I had never heard of Dweezle Zappa before but she sure has nice legs.
cian cory
Her voice just doesn’t cut it …
tbf this is just someone's camera and I'm not sure how much the sounds holds up .
The singer is struggling and getting no backup vocals from the rest of the band. With just a little help this could have been fun.
Ma Duuizeel dò isal
I am sorry..this sucks The cover from Spooky Tooth is much better Btw she has no volume, power in her voice. Or a lousy PA system?
She's not as good as Ike
Nah, but she's good.
NEVER AS GOOD AS IKE WILLIS
AS FRANK WOULD SAY THATS
RIGHT.
What dumb choice of foothwear..
nice music though
To all of you who admire this poor performance; listen to Spooky Tooth...the real Walrus!!
This ! Group really ! Butchered this song !;! May it bleed in peace after there done. No ! Voice content or much else !
Crack the Sky's rendition is much better. This girl couldn't carry a tune in a bucket. No projection, no power, no volume. Bleah.

Zappa4Life! Now I'm gonna jump on my pygmy pony and ride, into the dawn of Montana.
an grow me some dental floss 🤭
Her voice is wrong for this, and it’s WAY too fast.
Not power in her voice, sorry.
