It’s not designed as an everyday trainer. The Streakfly is specifically designed for a purpose, much like many shoes and it should be compared to similar low stack 5k or 10k shoes.
Actually I’d say buy the Vaporfly over these … as they are more versatile … I agree the Streakfly is designed for a specific purpose which I’ve got mine for but what we concluded is that the shoe is good but we’d rather buy something more versatile that you can do more in
has toby done the same distance in rebel v2? how does it compare to the streakfly? wondering whether the streakfly can be a direct replacement to a rebel v2 for us everyday runners.
I’m on the Nike notify list here in the u.s. My purpose is solely to use these for high intensity training. I tried the ASICS hyper speed yesterday and I felt too much road feel for my liking. Kinda wanna save my vapor flys so I’m thinking this may be a good option.

I was lucky enough to get a pair but I watched that drop like a hawk. Appears to be marketing ploys to create scarcity and drive up demand. Adidas did the same with the prime x last year as well.

Hello from Ireland, I raced in the Hoka Mach 4 last Sunday and they were great but I noticed 90% of the elites were wearing alphafly or vaporfly with the odd Saucony thrown in, for the rest it was a mixture of all makes and brands.
Interesting take, I never found that was the case for the rebels but I’ve only used them on treadmill and track 10 mile tempo runs. I have gotten hot spots on my toes almost every time though

I’d even consider the Asics MagicSpeed if you are looking for a specific 5k/10k racing shoe. I get the idea behind this, but for 80% of the world that’s an every day runner, the 5K/10K distance could easily be done in a daily trainer and still be competitive.
I already have a great 5k /10k shoe in the razor excess and ill be picking up the adios 6 in the summer..so wont be buying the streakfly, although it will probably be popular with a lot of people And im still running in my speeds 150 mile in them now still feeling great!a great shoe

I'm from Turkiye (pronounced Turkia, as in Italia, Latvia, Estonia etc etc, just because some hundred years ago english speakers could not pronounce Turkiye, we go stuck with 'Turkey' lol, anyways). Good review as always, besides to top-tier Nike shoes, somehow I have this fear of any of Nike's relatively cheaper shoes, fearing I may not be gettig what I pay for, I don't know I think I was Nike traumatized in the past. lol

Not to say that this shoe couldn't be good (I actually haven't even had yet in my hands, and never plan to do), but new generation shoes are so much talked about before release, that people feel the urge to get them regardless of their actual expected use and purpose. Big money spent for the joy of Nike and often no return at all but own vanity...

The nike notification email didn't work properly in the UK, I received about 10 minutes after they dropped and by this time they had almost sold out

Can you recommend a better or equal 5K road race shoe?
If my marathon target pace is in the 4 hour range do the endorphin speed 2s make sense or do I have to be a faster runner

Excellent review. I love light shoes for my easy long runs but I guess it is a bit like my Rebel V2. Midsole dead after about 8k or so..
