His ability to hold his temper itself is professional. The defense hammered him with questions about the forensic recovery that he had no part in. And he has had to repeat answers. I am sure it was meant to make him look bad. It only served to increase his reliability.

I really think we take it for granted as a society that, in a world of Murdaughs, there are countless Dr Kinseys out there, dedicating themselves to a life of practice, study, academia, research, publication, lecturing, at the expense of their own lives, families, marriages, friendships- all so that they may offer a service to further the greater good of the world.

The defense attorneys were ridiculous. Of course it’s difficult to defend such an obviously corrupt, guilty, physically repugnant, client. I bet they charged a boatload of money. Wonder if he, or maybe his family, actually paid them. He’s kinda like Number 45 when it comes to corruption and not paying bills or lawyers. However much they were paid they didn’t earn it. Dr. Kinsey’s good reputation AND knowledge in his field of profession, AND NOT being cocky/a know-it-all, reminds me of the BCI Expert Matthew White from the Pike County Massacre Murder Trial in Ohio. 8 family members were shot and Murdered in 2016 by the Wagner family because of child custody. 6 of the Murdered victims were shot while they were in their beds late at night, and 2 of the Murdered women had babies and the youngest Murdered victim was only 16 years old. It’s the Rhoden and Gilley family Massacre.

@Lindsey Montague: I don’t think he meant he was actually present when someone killed him or her self. When he’s giving examples he may say “I saw a suicide” meaning he reviewed or studied a suicide case. In future if he should happen to refer to something that he observed in the evidence in this case he might say, “I saw a murder” maybe referring to the unique situation of two murders, one shooter, and all moving around after first shots before the immediately fatal shots. He didn’t really see the murders happen; else everyone would jump up and say, “You did?!! Who did it??!!” 😊

@@WorldifySanity, "following the money" in these cases leads to the lawyers who were (and still are) suing Alex AND BUSTER Murdaugh AND Gregg Parker for the boat crash case and for Gloria Satterfield's death.
It was, and still is, in the interest of those lawyers to FALSELY pin the murders of Paul and Maggie Murdaugh on Alex AND to falsely pin Stephen Smith's on Buster.
I know how that works because I WAS FALSELY ACCUSED of crimes to force me to abandon a civil lawsuit. In my case, I defended myself WITHOUT A LAWYER to a jury in a trial presided over by none other than Judge Clifton Newman; and, thank God, the jury refused to convict them the first time; and I later, STILL WITHOUT A LAWYER, got THAT SET of false criminal charges against me dismissed WITH PREJUDICE.
How do I know that Alex was wrongly convicted of the murders?
FIRST, because SOME OF THE SAME PROSECUTORS were in his case and mine: Donald Zelenka, John Meadors, Creighton Waters, Johnny James, David Fernandez, AND Sara Heather Savitz Weiss ("Hatchet-for-hire Heather").
SECOND, because that gang used on me the same tactics they used on Alex in his murder trials.
THIRD, because I am a medical doctor with specialization experience in Pathology among other specialties although I am NOT a board-certified forensic pathologist. I know MEDICALLY the time of death is closer to 10:00 pm than to 9:00 pm.
FOURTH and now-foremost, now that I read Becky Hill's book in its entirety, it is clear that, no only did she tamper with that jury, that jury had been tampering with itself all along INCLUDING A MALE JUROR (who voted "guilty" and convinced the not-guilty/unsure jurors to change their votes to "guilty" then flew expense-free to New York to talk about the verdict on national TV) having received "thousands of dollars" from "three friends" to stay on the jury instead of returning to work and getting replaced by an alternate.
It boggles my mind that people brag about these things and even attribute them to God, when they are crimes. It is crime enough for that juror to have received outside money to stay on that jury. It would be an even bigger crime if that outside money was being funnelled through that juror's "friends" from, say, the lawyers suing Alex Murdaugh and Gregg Parker.

One of the most frustrating parts of any trial, and one reason jurors get flustered, is the 'experts' continually speak in CSI jargon and someone not schooled in crime scene forensics will get confused quickly.

It seems to me that in nearly every field, that's the way you can tell an expert from someone out of their depth. If someone is unsure, they'll fluster you with a lot of jargon and hide behind technicalities. The most talented expert I work with in my field is just like him - very humble, straightforward, makes his field sound easy while *really* knowing his stuff. And has no issue saying 'I don't know'. (He's an engineer and he always turns up in an old t-shirt. Never once, not in the most formal of cultures and countries where we sent him, was anyone less than happy to see him)

How can someone work day in and day out with simply terrible things and still be so adorable? His humour, his manners, his humbleness, his lack of greed, his ability to convey so much information at the level anyone can understand (except the Defence Team, clearly, although that was probably tactics to try to discredit him as a witness)? If I met him at a social gathering without any idea of his work, I would guess him to be a primary school teacher, or something along those lines.

Griffin and Harpootlian have made themselves look like damned fools.
I am stunned that they have been so consistently petty and tiresome.
They’ve faffed about with papers, asked stupid questions over and over, been argumentative and snarky and wasted such a huge amount of the court’s time.
    Those poor jurors.

Love the witness, he’s spot on. Knows his stuff, is confident & easy to understand. The defense attorney though, is hard to follow, slow, all over the place & almost put me to sleep.

@marybethklinzak - that's EXACTLY what I thought. The defense attorney completely confused me. He bumbled thru his entire cross-examination AND he kept asking the same thing over and over and over trying to get Dr. Kenzie to change his responses. His entire cross-examination was cringey and painful to watch.

Good explanation of why Alex is crying and rocking back and forth, the testimony of what happened to Paul, Alex is reliving every second of this during the trial, he is seeing this play out, what he did to his son? Could you imagine listening to the explanation of your son's brain flying out of his body, hitting the frame of the door and hitting the concrete, knowing you caused this to happen! He lived it and I hope it continues to eat at him while he is locked up in solitary confinement

As the female Colleton County investigator stated when she sat in on Alex's first interview along with the investigator from SLED in the police vehicle at Moselle:
Alex had an authentic emotional response when speaking about seeing Paul's body & brain.
The investigators initially thought it was a grief reaction & the investigator instinctively touched Alex's shoulder to console him. She now believes it was that Alex was emotionally jarred & shocked in seeing the damage he had done to Paul (I/They did him so bad). It was bad. And Alex was responsible for it.

He didnt give a damn, he was trying to look sad for the jury and the public, his tears were for himself because he knew he may not get away with it

I wonder why they never showed AM during this testimony? They show him all of the time during other testifying. I would like to have seen his reaction to all of this horrific description!

Dr Kinsey thank you for your clarity, your humility and charm. Rather than trying to force a viewpoint with jargon, and pomposity you spoke in clear simple language respectfully and easily showed that the frankly preposterous suggestions made by the defence were so unlikely to be impossible... I am in awe that you can remain so calm and collected with the traumatic things you have seen in your work and wish to thank you for your ability to carry on despite having witnessed such awful things especially a suicide like that... I can absolutely understand why the jury wished to thank you for your testimony... I believe that other experts should be realising that they don't win juries by alienating them with presenting evidence in technical terms that require excessive explanation of terms, or talking down to them as if they should just take their word because they are too stupid to understand...
You are a true gentleman, we need more people like you in this world...
