Parents are one thing but get out there and do it. I'm not a comedian but I have worked with many as a stage manager and if you're good it will show and most important is if you can get through the emotional letdown of bombing,trust and believe it happens to all comedians, then hey who knows? But do it and don't let anyone stop ya. Oh and please post if you do any shows, ok. Check out this guy named Raul Sanchez who I think is amazing and new but really funny. Kathleen Madigan is great and Dave Landau never disappoints. Best of luck funny fucker.

He's REALLY good.
First, allow me to say, the crowd was very dead and that has to be hard for any comedian.
Some of the humor was sad and deserved the responses it got, but there were some really good things from the showcase (Vic killed it as he always does and the crowd was very lively for him).
Forest and Shuli seemed to have some trouble getting reactions.
Forest found a few hits, some of his humor went to long.
Shuli seemed to once the crowd reaction wasn't there got angry instead of nervous and fell flat.
Jeff Young not my type of humor but he got the best reactions of the men.
Jessica was the funniest and rightfully the final one of the showcase, the crowd was far more livelier for her.

@John McKellar I can see you read and understood my comment because I gave him the benefit of the doubt by saying he was promoting child abuse for the "sake of LAUGHTER", indicating it was his perverse attempt at a joke. But not only in my opinion was he not joking, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say I don't find child abuse a fitting subject for humor.

It was a take on how tough our gen is as opposed to our kids'. Just as our parent's comedians said the same things about us as their kids.
It's very true in 88 I and a friend stayed out in line all night (we didn't even have a tent and if we had to p you didn't want to go to the portapotty for fear you'd lose your place) at OSU for Pink Floyd BRACELETS which gave us a possible chance at buying tickets (did get them nose bleed section and IMHO not worth it was not what I expected or had heard)
Today, kids click buttons and are on a waiting list then get messaged if they get the tickets... they'll never understand that. It's a true observation and funny because it is relatable for many of us from the 80's.
