i love out of the pack picks, i wonder if you will ever do a out of the pack pick of the abus 64ti/50, so if you get your hands on a abus 64ti/50, i would really like to see a out of the pack pick of that.
That warding really made what would have been a very easy pick a bit of a challenge.
Warding is important
Lock companies make up lock from different components. Also there are some things that can be done that are quite inexpensive that improve security. It’s just that certain companies I won’t name seem to skimp on a few cents and as a result make an otherwise robust lock less secure.
I suspect this core is used in other locks that are more robust.

Enjoyed watching you pick the Burg but I do believe it appeared to be shimable. I only state this because that defeats the purpose.
I bought a Bürg Wachter just the other day with a dimple lock since I am stationed in Germany. The thing that bugs me is that they put effort into the cylinder, but dont try to make them shim resistant at all. They also are far too expensive. The one i bought was 23 euro, and for that price i have picked up Abus plus locks off of ebay.
you got ripped off man! i'm german and live in a small town (which usually means higher prices b/c lack of competitors) and still these locks only costs 8-10€ in my local hardware store

Hey lockNoob , just recently got interested in lock picking. First off, you need to change your screen name to lock picking veteran or something cause you're not a noob anymore, lol. Anyhoo, what is the width of a good set of lockpicks? I'm finding some cool stuff to make pics from like multi-tool blades, or jigsaw blades etc. I'm sure they vary a bit. How come when I try to pick a lock, and I push a pin up and the tensioner backs off and I feel a click? False gate?

Burg Wachter locks are always fun to pick. Great job Ash and thanks for sharing mate.
I just wish they used ball bearings so they weren't so easy to shim. Also they are really expensive for what they are. They cost around 23 euro.
