It’s amazing how you can solve a 3x3 in like 10 seconds, when I haven’t been able to solve a 3x3 after like 6 years.

But maybe you didn't search up how to do it? Then it's a totally different story... it's not easy at all to figure out yourself how to solve a 3x3x3, I'd even say it's really hard.
I solved my first one in 25 minutes... With a tutorial video...
Print out the instructions in the description of my video, you will learn to solve in 1-2 minutes, but you have to print it out and work on it, you should have it figured out in a week.

You should learn to solve a 3x3
Hey guys. I just learned how to solve a Rubik's cube 2 days ago for the first time without a guide. I just got a 2:10 (I know, I know, that's shit lol) solve today. I obviously can't do any of those crazy ass finger flick moves to rotate faces, I still have to grip the face and physically turn it. How long do you think it will take for me to get below 1 minute on every solve? Like, a year?

Chocolate Chip Cuber Damn. I'm not so sure I'm as quick a learner lol. It took me about a week and a half just to memorize the layer by layer method.
You will surprise yourself. Dont learn anything new for a while. Stick to layer by layer for atleast a week and you will be sub 1 no problem.

I totally agree with you on the Chinese pronounciation part... I've watched so many cuber videos that even I started pronouncing "ShengShou" as "SHAENG-Shao" rather than "SHUNG-Shoh"
