I was honestly a bit surprised that the Enterprise-A beat the Enterprise-B. You had a good tactic of being up close though. I too hope we actually see the original Voyager, Defiant (DS9), and Enterprise-A even the saucer of the E-D at Frontier Day.
That was an excellent battle I can truly imagine that was Kirk at the Helm of the Enterprise A versus what's his face the captain responsible for Kirk's death at the Helm of the Enterprise B that's the difference between Kirk and just about everybody else. You can make the argument that this would be a closer fight if Picard was in command of the Enterprise B but let's face it Kirk was truly gifted when it came to strategy and tactics. Captain Picard was good Captain Kirk was great. It just goes to show you the different time periods they lived in too the car lived in a time of peace where the federation did not have a peer adversary the Federation of Picard's Day always had a huge technological advantage over its enemies. Now the Dominion was a pure adversary in a technological sense however the Federation was set up to win in their war with them from the beginning and even then they screwed up all the time. Honestly all they had to do was actually fortify the Wormhole and the Dominion would have never been able to even get into the alpha quadrant but they couldn't even do that. It's like no we're not going to station a small Fleet at this Wormhole this critical Junction no we're not going to build some Federation Star bases there we're just going to use the old deep space Kardashian 9 which was not even meant to be a battle station it was meant to be a material processing station none of that would have flown during Kirk's day if they had found a wormhole like that one to the gamma quadrant or the Delta quadrant or wherever they would have built star bases there just like they had on the Federation Cleon border. Hell in that alternate timeline you know the one with the Enterprise C the cleons were winning why because the Federation forgot how to fight a war. I always felt there should have been two star fleets one for exploration and the other for defense. Cuz while Kirk was an explorer he was a soldier first. Picard was a diplomat / Explorer first and not even a soldier second. That's what I always felt it should have been too star fleets. Because the Federation is vast and it needs to be defended pretty much every planet should have had its own little defensive Fleet or some defensive star bases Maybe. It always seemed to me that the wrong attitude to have was to constantly sending out vessels to explore and not having one for defense hell Earth doesn't even have a defense Fleet and that's the capital of the Federation you shouldn't have to gather an entire fleet from all the four corners of the Federation just to fight one vessel aka the Borg should have already had one on hand.
Crikey well done Captain.. and the Ent A.. well you had Spock and Scotty.. the Ent B well had everything installed on time by the looks of it.. lol... and that Captain.. didn't know what to do.. but the ship was bigger... and that was a long battle .. I was sweating just watching... lol.. Very nice maneuvers and firing... Kirk would be proud.. very nicely done.. 😊🖖🏆
Well the issue with Captain Harriman was that he was given an incomplete ship as a propaganda move and ended up stuck with basically nothing and the only reason Kirk did better is EXTENSIVE experience dealing with situations like that. If you read the Enterprise B novels, Harriman did an excellent job commanding the Enterprise B, which is why it got a C, a D, an E, and so on.
Geordi is commanding the fleet museum in PS3. The Alpha was in development @ the same as NX 2K. Both were platforms for the transwarp system, had the same computer cores and armament. Both were C&C ships. Nx 2K had a more powerful warp core. Granted this is from the old tech manuals.
Yes. The excelsior had same weapons as Connie refit at least until the Ambassador class. The biggest difference was the structure of the excelsior was more durable than the Connie refit. The enterprise B had more powerful shields, better maneuverability and better sensors. The phasers had more power on tap but were the same pulsed phasers at time of launch.
These battles are fun to watch but not likely realistic or canon. The enterprise A does indeed have aft torpedoes, with all do respect read Scottys guide to the Enterprise,It's in the back,he will tell you the original refit doesn't, but this gunnery blind spot was corrected on the enterprise A
You should have went for his impulse engines...don't just focus on on hull attacks. If you damage his impulse engines to less than 50% you could just run circles around him and finish him off might have saved you about 90-120 sec
Looks like their primary helm and tactical officers weren't arriving until Tuesday... Honestly, I think this is pretty true to the timeline and technology. If you have terrible piloting and terrible weapons management against an enemy who excels at both you can close the technology gap with skill alone.
Hopefully it isn't Tuesday 😆. I still can't believe the captain was Cameron from Ferris Beuhler's day off (sp?). 😄 The Constitution Class is inferior, but I agree with you. With the right tactics, there's a chance you can win. I give you a 20% chance. Nicely done! And yes, captain Sulu, he tried to protect the Enterprise, and his shields were superior. I still liked Christopher Plummer's last words... to be... or not to be 😆
considering most of the early refit mods, and many TMP's, simply used a copy/paste version of the P81 hardpoint (which was balanced as a weaker version of the Bone Stock ships), I'm suprised this didn't take longer. I remember having to go in and completely rebalance all the TMPs just to make them compeditive against the KM stuff.
7:45 and if it is a simulator (BC is not like Legacy) then what was the point of decomissioning ''A'' after ST VI if it could compete with ships that were still in use 100 years later (B - was more advanced than Miranda and standard Excelsior)? 🤔
I think that was because the Admiral in charge wanted to get Kirk to retire and out of the way. There is not much info on how old the A was before she was recristened Enterprise A in ST:IV.. was a relatively new refit from Scotty's comments at start of ST:V
With Captain Badger at the conn, the Enterprise A can take out anything! But odd that there are no aft torps, since the TOS Enterprise apparently had them in the Mirror Darkly ENT episode.
How good is this season of Picard so far?! I mean, yeah there's some fan service but who doesn't like service? When they got to the space museum thingie I was kinda hoping that they would take Voyager with all her future armor and tech somehow intact. Oh, and of course install the cloak on it instead. How badass would it be to see Voyager go nuts on some ships and just blow through several ships like nothing. If they're gonna do fan service why not go all out. They could always have something go wrong and have to abandon Voyager and get back on the Titan.
You see all the hero ships in Picard Ep6 it's wonderful but one thing bugs me wasn't the Enterprise-A destroyed when kirk self destructed it before beaming on to the klingon bird of prey the Bounty lol so not sure how it can be here if it's a rebuilt replacement it's not the sane ship 😉
I wonder how you would fair against any ship utilising ChatGPT 3, assuming it could be possible, it would be fun to see but I guess no one would win. The Ultimate No win scenario
Picard son confirms my suspicions in the latest episode of Picard the enterprise, a A was held under fire by the Klingon bird of prey for several hours, not 10 minutes like in the movie. Basically, the enterprise has shields just as good as the Excelsior class.
Of course Enterprise-A can defeat Enterprise B. Enterprise-A looks a 100% better and more importantly it's command by The Federation's legendary Captain Kirk! You doesn't mess with Enterprise-A commanded by Kirk & crew. Klingons, Romulans, Kahn, Tralaine, a planet killer, a squadron of Constitution-class starships, the Greek God Apollo and *the* God himself (ST-5).. they all failed. :)
It's a beautiful model, but whoever made it was way too anal about making it screen accurate. Of course the Constitutions and refits had aft torpedo launchers. Just because we never saw one get launched in the movies doesn't mean they shouldn't be in their model!
its certainly awe inspiring the combat why star trek games suck and even in the tv series they are a bit soft the federation and their weapons aint to clever either
Captain Sulu wasn't at his fullest today. I think it's because he's been suffering from withdraw symptoms because his tea is no longer a Vulcan blend. 🫖
"The tactical officer?...Doesn't arrive until Tuesday"
Decent AI? That doesn't get installed until Tuesday.
They outgun and outrun us...but it's monday. 🤣
Lol!!!
Hahaha that Tuesday joke never gets old. 😀
Here's the question: How many A's could you take out while captaining the B?
I second this.
Take my upvote
7.32
As many as it could until Tuesday.
We need an Constitution Refit From Hell! It needs to include the ability to use the prefix code to drop an enemy's shields.
Badger made one! We just haven't seen it in action lately.
@@jamesbarrow904 That Constitution Refit Refit is awesome. Not quite as sleek and sexy as the Refit, but a badass ship!
Sorry about that. It escaped. Ships have been dispatched to catch it, so far it’s proving hard to locate 😂😉
Glad your glimpse of seeing 1701-A in Picard came to fruition. She looked beautiful
Every time you mention the Picard series I die a little inside.
I think that the A is meant for a knife fight, & the B is for a longer range fight.
I was honestly a bit surprised that the Enterprise-A beat the Enterprise-B. You had a good tactic of being up close though.
I too hope we actually see the original Voyager, Defiant (DS9), and Enterprise-A even the saucer of the E-D at Frontier Day.
And where in museum is Sisko's sun ''sailing'' ship? 🤔
That was some nice flying there! You've definitely improved over videos you posted a year ago. Glad to see the A hold its own.
Thanks 🖖
Great tactics. Staying super close and in the blind spots was definitely the best approach to this battle.
it was the only approach that would have worked.... anymore distance would have benefitted the B greatly
That was an excellent battle I can truly imagine that was Kirk at the Helm of the Enterprise A versus what's his face the captain responsible for Kirk's death at the Helm of the Enterprise B that's the difference between Kirk and just about everybody else.

Wait what's the little black dot area on the neck in the back below the impulse engines near the engineering hull? Isn't that aft Photon torps?
Captain Kirk once said that a starship is only as effective as her captain.
"You might still have your stolen Tholian shields, but you'll find your weapons have been compromised."
That was come skilled flying. Well done. :)
Thanks 🖖

Nicely done! Proving tactics are so important!
constitution refit has aft torpedo launchers and a phaser bank below the deflector dish
2:20 Is that Golf Ball Planet a Class M? It could be paradise!

It was actually only 48 photos fired surprisingly. Based on the counter.

You have to work with what you got . Not always glamorous an quick .
Enterprise A all the way!
Now I want to see an all out Enterprise Battle.
That was a really amazing video. Can we use the tractor beam.......it won't be ready till Tuesday
Anyone wonded why the enterprise - A torpedos went from blue to red
With Captain Badger at the conn, the Enterprise A can take out anything! But odd that there are no aft torps, since the TOS Enterprise apparently had them in the Mirror Darkly ENT episode.

A lot would depend on the skill of the captain and crew a more powerful ship does not automatically mean it will win .
5:16 I guess that day was not a good day to die. Cancel ramming speed. 😛
I like to thing of encounters like this as virtual war games.
It shouldn’t be able to. The excelsior class was perceived as a highly armoured warship if the era. Even though star fleet doesn’t do warships.
1 excelsior = 3 constitutions.
One of the reporters is at tactical.

that was the orignal Enterprise he blew up. the A replaced her
Of course the A could, because weapons will be delivered Tuesday.
if this is the case wouldn't the excelsior class be ...pointless?
no. this was because badger focused on the weakpoints. Excelsior is the tougher ship
Well done Admiral Badger!
Thanks 🖖
At least the B nacelles don't disappear after taking 1% damage like the Lakota mod.
I enjoyed that but can the original Connie win against the Enterprise B?
In BC there are always possibilities. The OG Connie is 3 generations out of date from the B, so on paper doubtful
I agree with one of the commentors here...how many A-s could 1 E-B take.out/on?
The B's Tactical Officer was indisposed... in Kirk's bed.
Cool. Great fight.
Ooooo interesting... watching!👍🏾
The Excelsior was probably commanded by captain stick
When will you do Enterprise B vs Excelsior?
I don’t hate the Excelsior class but it is definitely my least favorite Enterprise
for any who havent watched picard
but yes the enterpise gets mentioned
Do something with an assimilated constitution refit.
An Enterprise vs Enterprise scenario is a lost opportunity for live action.
I wonder how you would fair against any ship utilising ChatGPT 3, assuming it could be possible, it would be fun to see but I guess no one would win. The Ultimate No win scenario
These are from the same era, with basically the same technology. It's no surprise that the weaker one can beat the stronger one with better tactics.
1 excelsior = 3 constitutions.
@@cosmeticscameo8277 Still better than Oberth. Oh wait...Wolf 359 nad Dominion 🤪
Best of 3 might me a different story. Good thing it wasn't a Beauty Contest, the B would have never made it out of Space Dock!
Dont forget This is the ship that was Renamed from USS Yorktown! >.
The Enterprise B was missing alot of stuff, not until Tuesday was it?
Wouldn't have been Sulu on the Enterprise B sir...Harriman right?
Just blind them. That’s the way you do it
I think this result is cannon if the captains are Kirk and Harriman.
2 Connie’s would take out an Excelsior.
Be glad it wasn't Tuesday
If you do look up the constitution and how many torpedoes launcher’s
That was just painful to watch .
Im definitely a constitution class man.

Aaaah, the tea shakes. A much under reported condition. That explains everything 🖖
I like to think it was "Spacedock Styles" in command of the Excelsior-class and Kirk outwitting him again
