Nice finds at the markets. The native american on horseback, the horse is a "paint, or pinto", palomino's are blonde. I like the clothing best. I love bright colors.
This was a lot of fun! One trick I use is to pack clothing that I no longer want, and leave it behind. I have a little guilt about the sustainability of that, but it allows me to fully. use my suitcase for my treasures. And hopefully the hotel staff can use it.
Thank you, Abigail, for taking us along on your travels. I am a reseller as well and love discovering unique treasures for my booth ( and for my own home too!). I love your channel!
Such a beautiful video, loved everything!! You definitely found some amazing findsand you are a professional packer to fit everything in your bags!!! Thank you for sharing with us all!!!❤❤❤
You did it! I really enjoyed all the videos of your European trip. Also very grateful to have been able to enjoy thrifting there with you. Amsterdam looks gorgeous! Must add it to my bucket list. Glad you found lots of smalls to take back with you. 😊 But, when I saw the wooden box I knew there was no way you would leave such a beautiful thing behind. Hope you are feeling better❤
Yay! Thank you! Loved hanging out with you. We must do it again. I am barely unpacking tomorrow and crossing my by fingers that everything arrived unscathed.
That was wonderful! I loved having a peek into your trip ... yes, it's always nice to return home. You scored some amazing treasures. Have a relaxing and safe trip home ;) Sunshine
This has been an absolutely delightful journey to follow along on with you, and so inspiring! Your haul is amazing, and I’m so impressed you got it all into those bags!
Love watching your videos. Just wish, for your sake, you had a friend to travel with. I also love your finds. They are always so beautiful and interesting.
I'm so gad you got the letter box. I was ready to reach through the screen and grab it for myself. The tramp art wads also amazing. So fun to live vicariously through you. Have been really enjoying your travels.
Hi Abby it is so good to see you. I'm glad your having a good time. I live in Oklahoma and the weather here has been in the high eights. The weather looks a little cold there Love the haul . Have fun and will see you when you get home be safe
You find the most amazing things! I love that Pendleton jacket and the metal bird! Just an FYI...the Native American was riding a Pinto horse not a Palomino. Palominos are the gold horses with the off-white mane and tails. I have to applaud you for traveling alone in foreign countries. I'd never have the guts to do it!
Hello Abigail, I started going through your shows and just love them, gave you a subscribe! I remember one like this one in the Netherlands where you were going up the stairs while touring a very steep house. I wanted to show my husband the design of the wooden railing that was there. I can't find that spot. Do you remember which episode that was in? 😘
@@AbigailsArtfulAbode Oh thank you for responding ! I see why I missed it because it was the place you were staying in the beginning of the show. My bad memory was thinking it was a site you had visited like a museum house. We have those long branches from our trees that we want to make into stair rails. Your examples are perfect for us to see how to finish and mount them. You do a wonderful job and make wonderful videos!
Love everything ! I haven't been to Holland since 1982 when my grandmother took me there back to her home town den Haag and also went to Amsterdam' Haarlem and many other places. I was only 12 yrs old but will never forget and always been in love with Europe! Big question ??? Could you please show us how you pack and ship home all of you items after such a big trip???? And an approx. Cost as how you do this ?? Hope you can ' love you and your videos Abigail 😊
Not sure if I can show you but I flew United so it was $75 there and $150 back because I had my huge duffel. I travel very, very light. Maybe a half of a carry on for clothes and essentials. On this trip I took the largest suitcase they allow and put an equally large duffel bag and my carry on in it. While there I bought bubble wrap and tape. I packed the heaviest items in my carry on and used a luggage scale to make sure that the suitcase and duffel were under 50lbs.
Thank you for replying so quickly! Yes it sure was a memory I could never forget. I would love to go back again ' yet my health is up in the air atm ... on my bucket list for sure! Most of my relatives there have passed but I still have 2 friends there that would accomodate me if I were to go. I haven't flew since then either so have no idea how and not bold enough to do it alone! Lol I'm from southeastern Ont. CAN.
I’ve been through a lot of Europe including Amsterdam and I’ve never had anyone be unfriendly to me (at least not specifically because I’m American - there are cranky people everywhere!)
Not this time, too expensive from that part of the world! I try to stick to smalls, non breakables. Course I do break my own rules. Honestly I’m surprised it all fit.
@@AbigailsArtfulAbode It's been decades since I've been there, but it's a wonderful museum--as well as the Van Gogh. Amsterdam was one of my very favorite European cities. I did like Belgium, also, but only got to Brussels. Love traveling vicariously through your videos.
I don’t think the foot stove is tramp art, This Sort of design was made in Holland in Friesland or Groningen up north in the 19th century Coatracks, trays, etc, always something useful A stoof( dutch word) was found in every home, because usually only one area would be heated, there are many kinds
I think it’s considered wood chip art but it’s where tramp art evolved from. You can see the resemblance although true tramp art involved lots of pieces of scrap wood.

Good to know! It was awfully rich with all that chocolate!
Grate items Abigail

I collect Villeroy& Boch
I LOVE that brand, they make such beautiful things! I have a gorgeous little green parrot box by them that I recently listed that's the cutest.

So glad to share!! Yes, I’ve become an expert packer.
The metal hanging bird is very typical of Chilean craft, there's lots of copper/metal items depicting the mid century style bird. I love them!
Yes, the artist on the screen I think is from Chile 🌶️
Love watching your videos. Just wish, for your sake, you had a friend to travel with. I also love your finds. They are always so beautiful and interesting.
Maybe one day! I did have a viewer who was in three cities at the same time. We hung out quite a bit and it really was nice to have company.
Beautiful things

I think it is from Venice and they still make it
I hope you’re feeling better soon. Please take care of yourself. Great items from Amsterdam!

"IJ" is one letter in Dutch, it's most like the Y. If you don't know that it makes a lot of names unreadable.

The Rijksmuseum looks hard to pronounce, but it isn’t. “Rijk” is pronounced “Rike,” “museum” is “musayum.” Rikes-musayum is the pronunciation!
Ahhhh thanks for that!
