- The Lille, Braderie, vintage flea market has been on this vintage resellers bucket list for awhile. Finally made it there and it was truly a flea market paradise. Endless streets filled with treasures with some really good bargains to be had. With 10,000 vendors, over 64 miles and at 900 years old this incredible flea market is the oldest and largest in Europe. 100's of 1,000's of people show up for the brocante dealers specializing in old world and mid century modern vintage and antiques. Also spent time in Antwerp where I went to an amazing thrift store full of great art.
I'm here buying All The Old World Vintage & Antiques to take home and resell in my Etsy and Ebay shops, my antique booth and my store Abigail's Artful Abode in Washington State. As a vintage reseller it is my dream to travel the world looking for beautiful, eclectic old world and mid century modern goods and learn about the people and countries I visit.

Those little porcelain people are called fèves and they are hidden in cakes. Whoever finds it is king or queen for the day. :) Love your videos!
Oh wow!! Love that.
@@AbigailsArtfulAbodeindeed it's a French tradition to eat these cakes on January 6th to celebrate the 3 kings who came to honor baby Jesus. If you find the "fève" in your slice of cake you get to wear the paper crown 👑
Sorta like New Owleans cake
Thank you so much Abigail ❤ This tour is such a giant treat; you are making this feel real, and you are nice company! This series is so welcome; you are Calgon-taking-me-away from the grind!

Thanks for the tips! I will have to do that.
What a beautiful country, and the treasures you have found along with the great prices!!!! Wow!!! Love everything ❤️ 💕 ♥️
It really is! It’s surprising to me that Belgium 🇧🇪 isn’t that popular with American tourists since it has so many beautiful cities.
Abby, this was a breathtaking video! I felt like I was there with you experiencing the beauty. Your haul was fantastic!
Thank you so much!! It really challenged my current laptop with so many pictures and videos but I think it was worth it. Luckily I have a new faster, stronger laptop I ordered waiting for me at home.
I love watching your videos. You are so sweet and the music on the background is perfect and soothing. Thanks for sharing
You are so welcome, thanks for watching!
The wooden carved man is the weeping Buddha I have one 5x that big ...very sad story..look up on line!
Oh I will!!
The man holding head in hands is known as a Weeping Buddha. I was gifted one done in ironwood. Thank you for taking us on your travels! It's so much fun to see all the places you see, as well as your home swaps!
Very cool! Thanks for the info!

So exciting because I got to go to Lille.
Yay!! 😀
Thanks for the sightseeing
Any time!
Beautiful place.
It really is!
Great haul!!
Thank you!! 😊
Omgosh, that was amazing to watch! How in the world to pack all your finds when you're away? Each place you stay, do you bring all your previous finds? The marionette was fabulous. So so many amazing things, my mind would have been blown lol. Thanks for taking us along!
They have a genius service where you can store your luggage so I have a large duffel bag stored back in Brussels.
Great video Abigail, such a varity of beautiful objects, that brass swan + flowers little dish is an ashtray, have you noticed? I love the religious objects very much, being a Christian myself, I do cherish them. I think next time you could do with some company, a companion on your trip, but I do admite your spirit , travelling and navigating Europe on your own , you are such a great adventurous lady👌😍I wish I could hop on the plane and join you for some coffee and chit chat and going to the next flea market :)) I'm only in the UK.:) Safe travels Abigail 🤞🥰
Hello!! Yes, nowadays I call them Trinket trays since no one in the US smokes anymore.
Surprisingly one of my viewers joined me in Brussels and Bruge and we had such a great time together.
I did really enjoy having company and missed her when she left.
Interestingly she grew up in England 🏴 where I will one day come for tea! ☕️
She’ll be in next weeks video.
I am a new subscriber watching all the way from Cape Town South Africa🇿🇦. I have throughly enjoyed your videos. I love the choice of music too❤.
Welcome!! How exciting for me to have a new viewer from so far away. Yay 😀
The Lourdes souvenir is not iconography. Icons are a completely different thing.
Oh, I have been misusing that term then. L
The scarab might be alabaster. The Egyptian artisans still carve alabaster today.
Ah, yes, it could totally be alabaster!
Fantastic video!
The Kringwinkel in Antwerp was awesome. Great pieces at super prices. Must have been fun shopping there. Lille was overwhelming. It was such an amazing, huge event. It was fun seeing you navigate the market and see what you finally picked from all those fabulous items. Of course I loved that huge Bitossi. 😂 Gasped when I saw that and other stunning mcm pieces in your vlog. Thank you so much for sharing your adventures with us. 🥰
It was! But it was so hard, as you know to pick and choose based on a suitcase.
My gosh, right? Lille was so overwhelming and maybe not recommended for everyone but for hardcore vintage shoppers like you and me it was heaven.
I was really happy with my finds for sure.
Oh my what fantastic objects they all sure must have a great story to tell! Going to a flea market is exciting in itself but all the beautiful architecture and surroundings make it a A plus experience!!!Thanks for sharing
A plus for sure!! It’s a perfect combo.
What a wonderful video! You sure did purchase some fantastic vintage items! At 35:13, that item is not a sumo wrestler. It is a weeping Buddha. So happy that you are have such a great experience in Belgium!
Thanks for the info! Always good to learn something new.
Vallauris is a small town in the South of France that has a long standing tradition of ceramics and had it's hey days in the 60s and 70s when Picasso settled there and studio scene exploded. The are many famous Vallauris artists including Roger Capron and you're right, the glaze reminiscent of the German fat lava technic from the 1960s. Great finds!
Oh, thanks so much for that information!! Love 💕 when I learn something new from a viewer.
Loved the blue mosiac tile trivets. That salt glazed pitcher was gorgeous. The painting is perfect with that frame 😔 (the first)
That is one epic flea market 😲 The pottery is epic.
So much good stuff I couldn’t buy but loved looking at!
I'm voting for that drool worthy red planter pot as my favorite. I know its too big, but wowza, how gorgeous. Love so many things. I guess you just need to buy what isnt normally found at home.
That’s exactly my plan. And of course what can actually fit in my suitcase.
What do you do with the religious Sacramentals? Do you collect or resell?
I resell them. I bought quite a few last time I was in France 🇫🇷 and most sold online.
Thank you for the tour . I agree with other subscriber HOKA and a trip to the Good Feet store is life changing.
Yes!! My feet are definitely not used to so much walking.
I’m Catholic so when Catholic items are mis identified I can’t help my self but to correct. Lol
I appreciate the input.
I would like to purchase the allumettes box. Please let me know when it is available on your website and the price please.
Just shoot me an email as abby@abigailsconcierge.com and I can get you a price and shipping. Please include your location.
I loved this video and now that city i have traveled through you. Years ago I had that Lincoln picture.
Hey Bernie!! Who knew it had some value.
Not Madonna with the font that’s another Saint I believe it’s St. Therese
Hi, you know I haven’t inspected closely but as I list them I will definitely correct myself.
Wish I lived close to your shop. Would love to pick up some of those tiny people.
Oh, I do too! 💕
I admire your courage in traveling alone……kudos!
Thanks! I got my sense of adventure from my grandma.
Speckled box is called splatterware.
Yes! Haven’t heard that term in a long time.
Can I have the little blue owl you found? I'm in love with it!!
Yes, I don’t get back till next week but go ahead and email me. Abby@abigailsconcierge.con
Wow! Fabulous haul! Thank you!!!
You are so welcome!
The writing desks go for a lot of money!
It was so beautiful! I didn’t even check the price on it.
Dod you bring a mini black light?
No, and I do have one!
That artwork was insane.
I know!!
The prices are crazy good!
I had to hunt for them but yes, the hunt paid off. The thrift store though was very good.
What a fabulous haul🎉
Thank you! 🤗
Beautiful finds
Thanks!
Amazing pieces
Glad you like them!
I’m very interested in the man holding his head in his lap with criss crossed legs. Please share with me if you’re willing to sell it and if so how much?
Also like the silver butterfly
Go ahead and email me. Abby@Abigailsconcierge.com. I don’t get back till next week but yes, they’ll be for sale.
Wondering were that Kringwinkel was. Did not recognize it. Public transportation is still confusing for me and I live here 🙄. I went to Brugge this year. The vintage market. Really expensive in my opinion. But nice city
There were some deals to be had but really had to find the rare vendors that had them.
The vintage/fleemarket organised by Goe Gekregen in Antwerp is always a good one. Not very cheap but nice mid century modern designer stuff. Maybe not always interesting for resale here but the resalemarket looks so different in Amerika
Damn...sorry for the tip...don't come here no more..🤪😘
I had the Antwerp market on my list but the calendar didn’t correspond.
