Honestly Homelander is one of the most intimidating characters on TV past and present. There's something about the realistic depiction of this world and how much more powerful than everyone else and crazy he is that makes this really stand out.

Which is the literal reason why Becca was kept alive to raise her son. What I love about it so much is that they pretty much hit on the "Superman Conspiracy" idea and I love that *for those who don't know, think of superman not being from krypton and that the government specifically the US created him as a super soldier to serve and from there all other superheros were created by the government and not freak accidents or off world encounters. It was hit on in the doomsday clock storyline*
I think you guys missed the whole thing Huey did. They put foil on the ceiling to block them from tracking the chip in Translucent. When they shot him, the bullet ricocheted of the wall and made a tear in the foil. That’s how they found out the general area he was at.

I'm going to say it again the concept is sick. I love how they tie in the military and the government. At first, you think it's just about these superheroes being treated like athletes and actors nope this episode shows it goes way deeper. This show gets really dark and I'm here for it.

In real life the government would absolutely jump all over the idea of having supes in the military. Much cheaper and more efficient in the long run. At the very least it would be on the table.
I think a big concern the senator had was that the supes are controlled by Vought, they would really answer to Stillwell, not the government. Plus it'd create an arms race with every country trying to get their own supersoldiers.

What’s so good about this show is it never wastes your time, every episode changes things drastically.
yeah its a really good adaptation, it doesnt follow the comic 1:1, but the changes are great!
