I used to think I gotta catch all the big fish, then a few years ago I followed this channel and now honestly any fish I catch i love and have a newfound respect for
I don't fish myself, but the knowledge you have and excitement you get from fishing keeps drawing me back. Keep enjoying what you do! Thanks for the entertainment!
Congratulations on the final protected sunfish species and the special permit. Now all that's left is to get a special shark permit from the state, some NOAA tags and go to the Jersey shore to tag some big stuff in the surf! (For science lol)
It’s funny. I caught a 10lb bass and had the same reaction. I started watching your videos and caught my very first lake small mouth the size of my thumb and had the same reaction. U have opened my eyes to the joy of “life listing” thank you.
Congrats on the new species Leo. Last week, I went to a spot I'd never been to, and caught three brand new species of my own (Redbreast Sunfish, Common Shiner, and Fallfish).
I'm so glad I found your channel. I've lived in New jersey my whole life 58 years and fished since I was 4, and I have never caught the black banded sunny. Your awesome leo, all I can say is wow
Huge congrats EPF!! That is one heck of a catch :D!! The exotic locations like this is so much fun to watch, where basically noone else goes to fish. Keep grinding dude!
Leo legit LOVES what he does. To break down as a grown man and cry over a fish, and I dont mean a giant record breaker, I mean a little 3 inch fish just shows you how much he puts into this.
Yes Leo, I remeber the old video from two years ago. The struggle was real but perseveration paid off! Congratulations on the new specie :) Tight lines!
Congrats Brother!!! You deserve it Leo!!! God bless and KEEP UP YOUR WORK FAM! TIGHT LINES! Sorry its been awhile we lost my mother Easter Sunday this year and I haven't been online much!
Super happy for you! If you're ever looking for a nice little creek to fish, hit up mill creek above lake magnolia in Bristol. There's a walk in path next to a bus stop on bristol oxford road across from the bristol municipal buildings. Nothing super special as far as I've seen (I don't microfish) but a very fun multispecies trip every time I go.
I appreciate the suggestion, DarkLordCain. I am familiar with that area. One of my friends caught a Redfin Pickerel there, back in the days. Hehe. Super cool catch!
Great vid brotha , I love watching your videos because you are the only other fisherman that has as much passion as I do for the sport of fishing . And such a huge appreciation for different species.
Congrats Leo on your completion of the set of sunfish. Perseverance pays off. Good for you. And especially with your respect for the rules and regulations of any state you visit, you deserve to be rewarded for that. I'm sure 7 out of 10 people wouldn't have bothered to pay the $22 or even bothered to look into it. So once again the Asian Invasion invades the Pine Barrens and conquers!!! Congrats again sir!! Much deserved!! 🎣🎣👍🤙
Hi Leo, Those are definitely cranberries. I used to work on cranberry research and blueberry research out near Lake Oswego. My only concerns about eating them would be pesticide runoff, it looks pretty isolated there but you never do know. FYI raw cranberries are not usually very pleasant to eat in my experience. Great vid! Great channel!
bro I don't fish, I have no clue about anything to do with fishing, but Leo somehow always makes it super interesting to follow along. keep doing your stuff man
I'm not big on micro fishing but the reaction you had after catching that fish is what it's all about! If it gets you jacked up it's all that matters! Also interesting to think about how those fish got into cranberry bogs? Are there feeder ditches that run into other watersheds maybe?
Nice to see you are back on the tiny multi species and thank you for your note at the end appreciation spinners and spoons sent. If you would like any specially made items let me know. Best wishes and keep safe everyone.
@@extremephillyfishing hehe that was actually caught around 6 years ago! just took a screenshot of my footage and "optimized" it after learning some photo editing so it looks better. I do have the clip if you ever wanna see the battle! :P
You may be underestimating the redfin pickerel, you are fishing big open water where chain pickerel like to sit. I bet redfin pickerel would like to sit where you caught the mud minnow or the bridge you crossed before that. I bet the average size in that area is 6-7", too small to hit the Eurotackle jerkbait.
I've been fishing in the berks and Montgomery County areas of PA for about 3 years now and only in the last uwar did I start targeting multi species fishing and going for any size and anywhere. I'd still love to catch a chain pickerel and it's definitely my top goal this summer
Ahhh! That's a good one, NTanz. I remember when I caught my first ever Atlantic Spanish Mackerel _(Scomberomorus maculatus)._ It was in North Carolina, on a pier. Good times!
Oh okay thanks for the clarification. Never heard them called that. I've heard you say that name before. They sell them as mud minnows in the shops. My mistake.
Max Zhang if you don’t ask the answers always no, also, he’s always looking for new spots, why not try to catch some carp and koi that all have hooks in their mouths?
Hey Leo, is that Gabriel Medina on your patreon list the Brazilian surfer? Didn't know he likes fishing too. That is wassup! Congratulations for the new species 👏👏👏
Leo I’m not sure if you have caught cutthroat trout, steelhead, chinook, silver, chum, pink, or sockeye salmon but if you haven’t caught any of these species you should come to the northwest, Idaho, Oregon, and Washington to catch these awesome fish!
Oh yeah, Robert. Lots and lots of ticks and flies and bugs in the Pine Barrens. That's why I always take showers after my fishing sessions and I scrub everywhere. About the bait shop...no plans on that for the future. Haha.
I been knocking the micros down across mainland nova Scotia this season, got a few left but still hunten Edit: remaining ones are on hold till i can get ahold of some tenagos, so been targeting sturgeon instead like one does XD

i love the visual i got from this. would leave a like for you but it already has 69 likes and i dont want to ruin it
This is the only channel on TH-cam that gets me pumped up to see little fish being caught.
With such a big personality the little fish are the most exciting...
I really enjoy watching him catch the dinks too, especially when it is a new species for him

There's no reason why epf shouldn't have 1,000,000
INGLORIOUS complete agree he should definitely have way more subscribers

That’s a tank fish if it wasn’t endangered, such a good looking fish
Yes, those are cranberries.
I think I will go back in a month or so to pick up a few! Make a mean FRESH CRANBERRY SAUCE!!!
That would be cool but what would you put that sauce on.
October’s first two weeks usually is the cranberry festival in chatsworth NJ out where the cranberry’s are !!!!

Love the pine barrens hate the ticks! Surprised you weren’t covered in them walking in and out of the grass😂

I appreciate the kind words, John! And I agree with you 100%.
