I have a question. I noticed that when my camera is on and I'm looking at the screen there's a short delay of movement. I wave my hand in front but don't see it on screen right away. Is this normal? Thanks

The Insta360 One RS menu system appears to be simplified yet very capable without getting lost in a maze, compared to some others. Of the multiple popular brands available this looks like the most flexible "all around" candidate of them all, with great performance and affordable modularity. Can you explain the flow state vs post mode for the 4k boost video on the RS and is it true that the horizon lock from the camera itself is missing? The R has a button and it is said that the RS has to lock horizon in post

Great intro guide to this camera. I recently got the twin edition which adds the 360 lens and I am having fun learning how to make a good workflow. Currently I'm struggling with the microphone wind reduction and recording GPS info linked from a phone. I edit on the laptop with Inst360 Studio rather than the phone app and find the audio noise reduction too weird. I see there is a audio mode setting on the camera for stereo or wind reduction, so I'll try that to see it improves when I'm outside moving about. The GPS info I think only works when Flowstate is off and you are linked to a phone with GPS active. Then stats can be added on screen. Otherwise it requires purchasing the rather expensive Insta360 GPS Action Remote. Insta360 really need to add GPS into their camera like others rather than messing about with linked devices which always lose connection and hence data.
@@forestchaput I have had some good success with linking GPS data in GPX format recorded on my phone. I have used the free Garmin VIRB Edit PC software to produce some decent overlays. Its a bit tricky to get the footage synchronised with the GPS data. For the wind noise I have found the Insta360 in camera wind reduction setting is a bit better but still not so good. I have ordered some small stick on "dead cat" wind muffler's intended for camera's like the Sony RX100 and will see if that works better.

Every person explains this process the same way, and it is easy, but nobody explains how to put together several pieces of videos (segments) to create a large or complete video. Edit each part is understandable. I have ten segments of 20 to 80 seconds each. How do I make a video with all those parts using the Insta360 Studio 2022?

I just got my used gopro hero 4 from China 2 weeks ago and am currently fiddling with its manual settings for video. I bought it as a replacement for my old and dead sjcam. I wanted to know, 1. Does insta360 one rs directly support USB type-c lavalier mic without any adapter? 2. Does generic type-c to 3.5mm converter work for using a lav mic., or is it mendatory to use the insta360 mic adapter?
In video mode, manual option, can you lock the shutter speed and have the ISO auto, basically shutter priority mode? If so, can you set a min max ISO range? For example, shooting at 24 fps, shutter speed locked at 1/48 second, and ISO range from 100 to 800. Thanks

GOOD BOY 👏 exhaustive tutorial !! However, I add a DEFECT that I found and I i to check video recordings, the synchronization between action cam and iPhone (latest generation) is out of phase. In other words, the app sometimes delays the shooting and sometimes freezes the recording. It is therefore very difficult 😞 to operate with precision.

Very true! The bitrate of this camera is mostly the same through the different options so it's always a balancing act between compression, frame rate, and resolution.
Just received mine. I managed it to put it together. Found the power button. But immediatly it gives an error and tells me it will shut down. I have bought a lot of stuff at once. For almost 1000.00 Euro. But in less then 30 seconds powering it up for the first time i think already that i probably have lost a lot of money. Giving an error directly at startup is not something i was hoping for. I was hoping for a new hobby and learning a lot of new stuff. So now i have to watch yt video's and hope i will get past that error. But probably not because it is during startup or immediatly after starting up. So i can not see what the problem even is. Anyone of you expereinced the same ? And maybe know what kind of error it is ? Before i can start reading the camera is shut down again. The battery is fully charged. I want to order a few microsd cards. Or maybe it is better to just order one card ? I'll be go on a long trip and wanted to document it. Although i have done very large trips before i only took pictures with my camera. I am old and i know that young people will understand all of that technology much better. But i know i will too. It will simply cost me much more energy then most people. English is also not my main language and sometimes that is also a problem to understand certain technicall words. Never learned English at school. Learned it from television. Things do not get easier after 70 years of age. Soon when i am lucky i have a RS 4K at the front of my wheelchair and the 360 camera with a 3 meter selfie-stick at the back. Recording a slim busty young nurse from above. Giving me a lot of thumb-ups and a decent amount of money after i have monotised my Y.T. channel.😇 At my age it is imortant to not let my hope be gone. 🙈 So to put down my questions again ; - what could it be that my rs one won't power up ? - for 8 hours recording per day. Any advice for how many cards i need to buy and wich size ? I have three batteries and can dual charge in tankbag. - a direct link to the best helmmount for a Klim Krios Pro helmet ? For the front. Because the helmmount kit from Insta360 will not work. Been looking if i could glue it on top of the sunblocker. But also no flat surface. - The fourth question that i have. At 4:53, you mentioned rotation lock. I think it just for screen rotation lock, nothing to do with footage itself?
You are correct, he's thinking of Horizon lock which can only be done in post.

Is the standard lens that comes with the insta360 rs called the 4K mod?
There really isn't a standard, but yes, the smallest and most compact lens is the 4K mod.
For the quick access you should also mention that the camera turns autom. off when you stop the video.
