**Late at night editing, I forget at times to include the KM conversion, here they are for you:
    Easy: 9:00/mile = 5:35/km
    Steasy: 8:00/mile = 5:00/km
    Steady: 7:00/mile = 4:20/km
    Tempo: 6:20/mile = 4:00/km
    Threshold: 5:15-5:30/mile = 3:15-3:25/km
    Intervals: sub 5:00/mile = 3:05/km
    RACE PACE!

Should a regular long run (just going long, no "work" included) be at easy pace or steasy pace or steady pace?

Seth James DeMoor hi James. Been watching your blog for a good 6 months now. I am a 2:38 marathoner. Suffering with a high hamstring injury but it’s been refreshing following you. On a 12 week build up to London from this Monday. Really following the slow running paces I think it works wonders. Thanks will keep following. 🇬🇧🇬🇧. Gav

Thanks for these. I have a question related to pacing. I'm a slower runner than you, but my easy pace is quite similar to yours, on feel, maybe a little slower, I can do 6:00/km, but I don't feel that I can physically run any slower without it actually feeling harder than running a little faster. After my long slow runs, after coming off being ill (like I am right now) I feel fine immediately afterwards, maybe a little tired, but the next day I ache a little (especially my Achilles tendons). Is this normal or am I running too fast on my long slow easy runs? I think you'll say I am, but I just would love clarification on this. Would love to know the differences in how you feel after you've done each of the workouts you've listed above in terms of tiredness and muscular aches or pains (I'm guessing you probably don't have that much as most of the training for you is a lot less effort than the races).

As an American, I think in miles, inches, etc. Nevertheless it is astonishing to me that the U.S. maintains the system to this day. Even our 5k races are marked off in miles....an odd hybrid when you think about it.

I started watching you guys (running youtubers) a few months ago when I was researching what shoes to get, and you especially, Seth, have inspired me to take this whole running thing far more seriously than ever before!

It will be my first marathon and I’m feeling “okay.” Got hit with sickness which put me behind a week and a half, and it has been tough getting back into training mentally and physically. Been incorporating tempo, intervals and SOS (something of some substance) runs in to get me ready for game day. There’s about 13 (ish) weeks left until London. I feel great thus far. QD: I am about 3 weeks away from a marathon. Did my peak mileage last week. Got a bit of a minor injury but I'm in a two day planned rest break and I'm feeling sore but less so and no longer inflamed. I think there were some lacing issues that contributed. Plan to jump back into the high intensity portion of the peak tomorrow if I feel ok. Then I rest/taper the week of. Still moving every day but not as much, just easy.

    Maybe slightly under trained.
Peaked for a 1/2 in late November.
Took 2 weeks off for shin pain.
Got in a good almost 2 months of training for my next race. A 30k in 2 weeks.
My end goal is a marathon in the spring.
But I’m not taking myself too seriously. ...
Yeah I am. ... I won my last race and plan to keep my streak going.
Not fast enough to win any big races yet.
But only one year back I’m happy where I am.
So I am doing a mini training block currently. But will keep climbing after a mini taper of 2 weeks. Started... yesterday.
The fun of feeing fast on easy days.
But the sadness of feeling slow and heavy on race day

Race day this Saturday for me, Pendle Way in a day 42 mile ultra (England) :) This will be my 5th ultra within 8 months but the first one in winter conditions! Expecting a lot of rain and mud 😂

QD: ~ 2 weeks until I’m (hopefully!) back to Running post-cuboid stress fracture. Then I’ll have a quick build for Boston. Feeling really strong, despite the injury. I’ve spent the last month XTing and strength training so that I’ll be ready to go when I get the green light from my doctor and coach!

I'm currently deployed. I'm in the army as an infantryman. So I'm doing a lot of weight training along with cardio. Should be home in the summer time. So I should have just enough time to be ready for the Chicago Marathon. I would say my body feels good and confident only for a half marathon at the moment. But again still have a ways to go for Chicago.

QoD: I'm in Week 10 of my 20 Week program for my Spring Marathon 12 April. It is based on a Book: Simple Marathon Training from Jay Johnson. Sometimes i feel strong and sometimes i feel tired because of my schedule (Night Shifts) Thank's for the inspiring vlog, it's a kind of recharge my motivation with all that positive vibes you send and share to everyone.

QD: So, I guess I'm at the beginning lol. I raced Saturday in Columbus, OH and ran an indoor 5k. I guess I ran okay (for what fitness I've been showing) not a great one. We're looking for the half/full anyways so doing one workout at 5k pace then racing one isn't easy

6.5 weeks from my marathon, 2.5 wks from my 10mile tuneup race... working with a coach, 1st block ever of quality, getti fast but crazy nervous my volume hasn’t surpassed 50miles yet. As a mid forties runner, I think only running five days a week may be intended to keep me healthy, and able to recover and adapt... I’m feeling great, usually i would be crazy fatigued by now... crossing fingers, and I am getting way faster but just cautiously optimistic that the stamina will be there

Q: week 3/18. Today I feel tired because my mom was hospitalized yesterday and therefore I slept only 3 hours but otherwise I feel great. Training load hasn't been heavy yet. Last week I ran 131K and I felt great. I did the Lumberjack, 6xmile at LT and an uptempo long run but I think that the paces might actually be too slow. My condition might be better than what I thought. Therefore at least so far no workout has been hard. I have room to improve when it comes to paces and volume. Therefore I am really happy that it hasn't been too hard during the first weeks.

Week 4 for my first 100km, 16 weeks to go. As it's very long race, it needs longer training block. Taking it easier this week as I'm very tired from all the vert.

I am 4 weeks until half and 9 weeks until full. I am increasing the volume in fact last week I did 148 kms. When I run I don't feel any pain but during the day most especially when I'm sitting down I feel my knee very discomfort such as tingling.

QOD: beginning, but got lots of races this season (5k, 5mi, 10k, 10mi, half) so I'm working out how best to be specific. I've been LHR/MAF training since finishing marathon last October. First 5 mi race is in Sunday so let's see. I think I need a diagram like yours with volume n weeks and plot all the races on it and work out the volume from that 🤷‍♂️
