I think this channel is more relatable that other TH-camrs and streamers because the skill level is very similar to the type of viewer that watches content. Usually care about the game and play it a lot but don’t have that natural skill level to take them to top of gm where most streamers sit, The gameplay looks very relatable and achievable to the average skilled overwatch lover.
I can get GM and top500 if I wanted to. I just solo and play the heroes I enjoy instead of meta crap and stacking. If I min-maxed I could easily be top100 but it's not worth the queue times or misery. I just want to have fun playing the game the way I want
@@Winton_OW2 icl I’m not trying to be rude because I do enjoy watching your videos because it’s entertaining content. But how are you so sure you could have you done it recently on any account? I know you love playing Winston and that’s great because I come here to watch Winston gameplay but Winston is decently meta so even if you just wanted to play him only I feel a top top end tank streamer doing the same would sit in gm. Unless I’m just unaware and you have actually been gm3+ recently on tank it’s quite a stretch to claim you could be because surely just by taking wins you would naturally climb even if not sweating loads.
@@bendavison3158 I choose to play what I have the most fun with and make it work with my teammates, in most cases that's just winton. He's only meta on dive maps and with the right team comp, if you don't have both then he isn't really meta. There's also counterpicking, if the enemies aren't playing meta and are choosing to counter me then meta won't really work.
I've been GM4 99% (basically GM3) just playing winton when he wasn't meta. I could hard grind ranked but it's not worth it anymore. Top500 is meaningless now and being high rank just makes you wait 30 minutes to fight the same 5 people. If OW becomes more fun for me and I have incentive to climb then I will. For now, I'm okay with short Q times in masters while I play my favourite hero.
Also note, the top500 and higher ranks just get camped, everyone gets their 50 wins to place on leaderboard then swaps to alt accounts to play in masters. I just play on Winton and AlsoWinton
@@Winton_OW2 I think you were a GM level player before s9, but since then most people who weren't gm1 have been in masters afaik. It's weird because mid to high masters is basically the old GM, so idk how to actually classify the skill level. I'm just basing this off looking at people's profiles, most of them that I see in masters were gm pre s9.
the camping leaderboards is annoying and dumb af. Everyone complains about queue times in top 500, but it's only a problem because all these idiots get 50 wins and swap to an alt. If everyone actually played their mains queue times wouldn't be a problem

I'd love to see you do a mystery hero style of character picking(10 loses ends the challenge) or use a vpn and get into korean servers and winton main to top 500.

Initially this challenge was supposed to be ranked in korea servers but 400 ping is unplayable. Going to EU ain't that exciting nor the other side of NA. Maybe if things go well in the future I can go to Korea to play winton on ladder
