Jiraiya was no joke. Before they started over-powering too many characters, Jiraiya was considered particularly powerful. When he infiltrated the Hidden Rain Village, Pain detected his chakra levels and considered him to be a dangerous presence.
I have to agree with the over-powering too many characters. I hate the fact that sharingan/rinnegan has everyone on chokehold, but they completely forgot about the byakugan. These are supposed to be ocular jutsus, but why is it that suddenly one can form a protective body armor and the other one can literally bring thousands of dead people back to life.

He didn't fight pain and Konan at the same time. All the paths abilities are pretty easily deducible from one watch(no tricky ones). Hmm honestly I find the sannin title and the experience associated with it to be highly overrated. Not saying jiraya is overrated but that title is.

You can't become a sage with normal chakra pool. Having massive reserves is a requirement for tapping into nature energy to balance chakra types. I think he's near Uzumaki or just below Kisame's level in chakra density alone.

In sage mode, you only get nature energy at a total of a third of your chakra mix. The reason why it is so strong is because you have to have massive chakra to feel nature energy in the first place. Add it in to the mix and you become a monster with the bonuses it gives.
Jiraya is in my eyes a true top tier character. Forget about the aliens in Boruto. Although I still think Jiraya can slow them down with his experience. But Jiraya was in my eyes the strongest Sannin and he would make about any Akatsuki member run for their money. Itachi was right to fear Gai and Jiraya. And in the end Itachi was right.
Agreed. Jiraiya's clone KK(acutually bit stronger and younger than Jiraiya) put the better fight against Isshiki than Sasuke. So Jiraiya is one of the top tiers. One more thing, it's more like Itachi admits and respects the ability of Jiraiya and Guy with caution rather than fear.

Jiraiya death felt like a wrap up to a perfect story His death wantnt painfully bacause he succeeded achieved his goals and knowing he chose Naruto the child of prophecy He death was a beautiful end On the other hand the very sad part and when Naruto found that he had passed ,Naruto reliving the memories and all the time him and the sage had that was the sad part man

jiraiya was such a badass. He needed backup on this one. He was too proud to withdraw once he had the intel that he wanted and that pain was a powerful force. He took all 6 of them on. I was so sad to see this fictional character die. back in the day.
The battle field was not on jiraya side and he was trying to study and kill pain even when he was not prepared and do not forget that pain was the one who really studied jiraya in the battle unlike in naruto's fight. But yes, if jiraya knew from the beginning he would won.

He had unlimited sagemode as long as the 2 of them were present (which Nagato later mentions when he kills the male sage during his fight against Naruto) Each time that Naruto struggled was because he ran out of sage mode. If Kurama had allowed the toad sages to fuel naruto with natural energy like they did with Jiraya then he wouldn’t even have needed Kurama to finish off all 6 paths
The disadvantage is jiriya had zero info on rinnegan abilities. While nageto had alot of knowledge on jiriya abilities. Also he used a bunch of chakra up and revealed jutsu at the beginning of fight trying to restrain them not kill. If jiraya had intentions to kill then he could had taken out a few of the pains.
Would be interesting to see a fight where Jiraiya knew as much about Pain as Pain knew about Jiraiya. Had Jiraiya had known there was a Pain that could revive the others, the fight might have been very different but he went into the battle knowing little to nothing about Pain. Yet, he still managed to take down half of the puppets.
But he couldn’t take down the deva path nagato, that’s his go to when facing jinchuuriki , sage mode Naruto was only competitive against the weaker pains until at the very end yahiko pain shows up and the fight ends. Jirayaiya fight would have ended earlier if Pain sent the top dog first .

Jiraiya only missed 2 points that they were controlled by rods from distance and they were being revived by Naraka path pain. had he known one of these secrets the battle would be different and it would have possibly lead him to figure out the last secret.

Imagine that all konoha's shinobi trying so hard to kill Pain with all the information that jiraiya gave (fukasaku). But Jiraiya can beat Pain easily without any information at all. But unlucky for jiraiya, he let his guard down and thought that the war is over then he lost his arm and yeah the war is litterally over since he can't use jutsu anymore. He still can escape from Pain if he want, but he decide to back to get more information and sacrifice his life. Respect jiraiya sensei!
Yeah jiraiya didnt know that the body of the six paths can be resurrected and all connected to nagato. So its normal for him to make a slight mistake like that. Any shinobi maybe wouldnt last long without any information about six paths abilities.
He had a single ability that worked on he Pains in a significant way, which was the sound based genjutsu, and it took him a long time to get to that point. If all 6 were there from the start, the fight would have been over in seconds.

The dude was injured, stood in front of all 6 of them, escaped to the outside without getting hit, used a barrier jutsu with Ma & Pa, kidnapped 1 of the Pains without being noticed and killed that Pain with a basic Rasengan all while only having 1 arm and unable to use 90% of his Jutsus . Jiraiya would have killed 3 or 4 of them if he was in good condition and he faced them all at the start. Remember 3 of them are only support types and the other 3 are offense types, Jiraiya's experience, speciality in escape/defensive techniques and his vast knowledge of all sorts of Jutsu's from low grade to high grade etc, He wouldn't have died if they attacked from the start. We see he still could escape anytime. It's why Nagato said if Jiraiya knew, then they would be dead. Same as Itachi when he and Kisame were together. Jiraiya's style and experience means he can survive difficult battles and escape safely if he has too. Nagato made the right move in holding back his other 3 Pains and trying to ambush Jiraiya after he'd let his guard down.

Jiraiya’s vast knowledge and experience, combined with his powerful ninjutsu, would have given him a significant advantage. He could have potentially targeted Nagato directly or found a way to disrupt the shared vision of the Paths of Pain.
Even though his sage mode is imperfect it's still pretty cool and unique how he made it work. As well as his infiltration skills are probably one the best. Also his space time ninjutsu (summonings) were pretty extensive. I feel jiraiya could of easily teleported away with a reverse summoning frog.
Jiraiya demonstrate his skill gap, took down pain 4 times, however without information he was bound to lose, however with his loss he passed on so much data to Naruto that it was child's play.

I miss these kind of fights u can definitely feel the ninja with these fight scenes but the moment otsutsuki/alien shit came, everything went from simple ninja to superpowers

Given Naruto's limited mastery of sage skills at that time, he would have been easily overwhelmed by Pain, and the Akatsuki would have completed their collection of the tailed beasts, and bee would be defeated similarly. Furthermore, Obito's secret killing of Nagato would have still occurred, ultimately leading to the creation of the Infinite Tsukuyomi, whether with or without Madara's involvement.

jiraiya was such a badass. He needed backup on this one. He was too proud to withdraw once he had the intel that he wanted and that pain was a powerful force. He took all 6 of them on. I was so sad to see this fictional character die. back in the day.
The battle field was not on jiraya side and he was trying to study and kill pain even when he was not prepared and do not forget that pain was the one who really studied jiraya in the battle unlike in naruto's fight.
But yes, if jiraya knew from the beginning he would won.
Then heres Naruto knew pain real body but still fights the 6 six paths them defeat all of them with the help of kurama but jiraiya fighting 6 six paths pain alone at the same time is sure loss plus i dont even think jiraiya can tank almighty push .

@@rexterandres1192 Jiraya didn’t fight alone, he had the 2 toad sages that were constantly refilling his sage mode with natural energy. He had unlimited sagemode as long as the 2 of them were present (which Nagato later mentions when he kills the male sage during his fight against Naruto)
Each time that Naruto struggled was because he ran out of sage mode. If Kurama had allowed the toad sages to fuel naruto with natural energy like they did with Jiraya then he wouldn’t even have needed Kurama to finish off all 6 paths
The disadvantage is jiriya had zero info on rinnegan abilities. While nageto had alot of knowledge on jiriya abilities. Also he used a bunch of chakra up and revealed jutsu at the beginning of fight trying to restrain them not kill. If jiraya had intentions to kill then he could had taken out a few of the pains.

Would be interesting to see a fight where Jiraiya knew as much about Pain as Pain knew about Jiraiya. Had Jiraiya had known there was a Pain that could revive the others, the fight might have been very different but he went into the battle knowing little to nothing about Pain. Yet, he still managed to take down half of the puppets.
And u have to remember tht pain never know jiraiya have a genjutsu like wht he have and if pain knew chance are he wouldn't lose the other 4 first
But he couldn’t take down the deva path nagato, that’s his go to when facing jinchuuriki , sage mode Naruto was only competitive against the weaker pains until at the very end yahiko pain shows up and the fight ends. Jirayaiya fight would have ended earlier if Pain sent the top dog first .
@@uthopia27 Pain recognised genjutsu comming from the noise before he was hit by it. but the whole game that pain played was new and unheard atleast for Jiraiya and much more complex that's the difference. but Jaraiya with his 2 toad master's wisdom managed to figure out 90% of what and how pain is. Jiraiya only missed 2 points that they were controlled by rods from distance and they were being revived by Naraka path pain. had he known one of these secrets the battle would be different and it would have possibly lead him to figure out the last secret.

In case anyone is wondering how did Amado clone Jiraiya; Jiraiya's left hand was cut off in an attack by one of the Pain. From there he managed to revive him, even without Jiraiya's intact body.
But how did he manage to do that? Why Kabuto didn't find it first?

Imagine that all konoha's shinobi trying so hard to kill Pain with all the information that jiraiya gave (fukasaku). But Jiraiya can beat Pain easily without any information at all. But unlucky for jiraiya, he let his guard down and thought that the war is over then he lost his arm and yeah the war is litterally over since he can't use jutsu anymore. He still can escape from Pain if he want, but he decide to back to get more information and sacrifice his life. Respect jiraiya sensei!
Yeah jiraiya didnt know that the body of the six paths can be resurrected and all connected to nagato. So its normal for him to make a slight mistake like that. Any shinobi maybe wouldnt last long without any information about six paths abilities.
He had a single ability that worked on he Pains in a significant way, which was the sound based genjutsu, and it took him a long time to get to that point. If all 6 were there from the start, the fight would have been over in seconds.

The dude was injured, stood in front of all 6 of them, escaped to the outside without getting hit, used a barrier jutsu with Ma & Pa, kidnapped 1 of the Pains without being noticed and killed that Pain with a basic Rasengan all while only having 1 arm and unable to use 90% of his Jutsus

Jiraiya would have killed 3 or 4 of them if he was in good condition and he faced them all at the start.
Remember 3 of them are only support types and the other 3 are offense types, Jiraiya's experience, speciality in escape/defensive techniques and his vast knowledge of all sorts of Jutsu's from low grade to high grade etc, He wouldn't have died if they attacked from the start. We see he still could escape anytime.
It's why Nagato said if Jiraiya knew, then they would be dead. Same as Itachi when he and Kisame were together. Jiraiya's style and experience means he can survive difficult battles and escape safely if he has too.
Nagato made the right move in holding back his other 3 Pains and trying to ambush Jiraiya after he'd let his guard down.

Jiraiya almost failed to enter Sage mode, while facing a single Pain, or did you forget that? Not a small detail.
Jiraiya was also completely open to attack after he successfully locked 3 of the Pains in genjutsu, and yet, despite the opening, Nagato decided NOT to just put a chakra rod right through his back. Almost like he was holding back... Hint Hint.

Escaping isn't winning. And if he has no idea what the Pains are capable of, or even WHAT they are, which was the case at the start, he would have been too busy failing to protect himself to do anything else.

He didn't say that "he" (Nagato) would be dead. He said that if Jiraiya knew his secret, then he would have lost. Meaning, if Jiraiya could have timed the genjutsu just right, he could have captured all of the Pains at once, thus winning the fight. It had nothing to do with Nagato himself.

He was holding them back, because he didn't think that he needed them, so why would he bother. But then Jiraiya pulled off a high tier genjutsu, and that impressed Nagato, and so he brought the rest out. I mean, you're claims here are beyond wishful thinking frankly. It's pretty obvious that even after all 6 Pains are there, he's taking it pretty easy on Jiraya if you consider what all 6 Pains are capable of doing to a single person that they want to kill. But Jiraiya made a great choice pulling the Animal Path into the frogs stomach, because that was the one Pain that could pull the rest from danger by summoning them. It's very unlikely however that something like that would have worked a second time.

自来也の戦い方はナルトで1番好き。受け攻めの手段が豊富かつ強力だし終盤の大怪獣&瞳術合戦より魅力的だと思ってる。てかこの時期はサスケvsデイダラとかサスケvsイタチみたいな一進一退の名バトルが多い。

Jiraiya’s vast knowledge and experience, combined with his powerful ninjutsu, would have given him a significant advantage. He could have potentially targeted Nagato directly or found a way to disrupt the shared vision of the Paths of Pain.

Even though his sage mode is imperfect it's still pretty cool and unique how he made it work. As well as his infiltration skills are probably one the best. Also his space time ninjutsu (summonings) were pretty extensive. I feel jiraiya could of easily teleported away with a reverse summoning frog.

@@AJ-bg6ko bro Naruto took out 5 pains and still had a sage clone in the end. And it was easily done thanks to Jiraiya Intel. The last pain powers were unknown so that's where the fight was. And for Jiraiya he took down pain 4 times without Intel and still manage to snatch a body. I wouldn't say he was manhandled because even pain admitted if he knew the truth it would have been different
@@246crips naruto had intel and 5 of the strongest sage creatures helping him, plus he still had to be saved by hinata, and minato, pain didn’t even have konan’s help in that fight, naruto’s only in sage mode at the end because of minato, and jiraiya only ever fought 3 of the pains at once, and that didn’t even include the 2 strongest pains, let alone the diva path at full power who was stronger than the rest put together, but the diva path also couldn’t use its full power because nagato was still protecting the rain village
also nagato was biased, he still looked up to jiraiya, he literally still calls jiraiya sensei and his entire ideology was built on jiraiya’s, you can’t take nagato words as fact

@@246crips it’s implied to be either the asura path or the animal path but since jiraiya manages to kill the animal path and the asura path blitzes him and rips his arm off even while he’s in sage mode and should be able to sense it, it’s probably the asura path, it could also react to kakashi
自来也単体でもすごいけど大蝦蟇仙人の二人を呼ぶことで恐ろしいまでの戦闘経験値で場の定石を理解して一旦引くべきとか三人分の情報量と観察力で初見で相手のネタを判断できるのがすごい。強いて言うならペインが三人だけと思ってしまったことが間違いだったな

Jiraiya's determination to uncover the truth about Pain and the intel he obtained from his sacrifice saved the Naruto Universe. It ultimately led Obito to initiate the Fourth Great Ninja War, uniting the shinobi world against a common enemy, and led Sasuke to temporary good, ultimately defeating obito ,Madara, kaguya. Had Jiraiya retreated, Pain would have launched a devastating attack on the Leaf Village or even the rest of the organization together. Given Naruto's limited mastery of sage skills at that time, he would have been easily overwhelmed by Pain, and the Akatsuki would have completed their collection of the tailed beasts, and bee would be defeated similarly. Furthermore, Obito's secret killing of Nagato would have still occurred, ultimately leading to the creation of the Infinite Tsukuyomi, whether with or without Madara's involvement.
