    I’m married and loved living in Almaty for 7 years . 2022. One room apartment box room 300000 tenge 😮due to Russian Ukraine war. Price of all food doubled in price , for example , half a kilo of cheap tasteless Belarus cheese 14 dollars 😮. How the average salary can manage now is so sad . Food is actually cheaper in the uk / Europe / emirates 😮 petrol is still cheap 🎉

    Almost $1700/ month living in Kazakhstan for a single woman. For me it’s still expensive.. in Malaysia i can say half of it $850-900/month. But $1700/ month its minimum spend for family that has 1-2 children.. its just info no need to compare ok chill..

      Salta lives in a very expensive building, drives a pretty new Toyota, eats out most of the time, goes to a 100 USD/mo gym. This is an upper class lifestyle in Almaty.

    It is interesting to see that living expenses are more than what google says is the average monthly income in Kazakhstan of around equivalent of $1100.
    Is the average income in Almaty, Nur-Sultan and other large cities much higher than the average throughout all of Kazakhstan?

    Sounds somewhat expensive if you add things up, what is the average salary there then? I found accommodations for $3-5/day and excellent ones for around $20/day (naturally this is not an apartment). I've checked online, the $5 dollar one is scored almost 5 star by most visitors (not far from city center). And the rest should not be expensive at all, given most things cost under or around a dollar, including visiting different attraction.

    Hi Salta: I have a question for you on your expenses? What about medical insurance aside from the annual health checkup?
    For example if you had an emergency such as a need to get stitches, or if you needed to have your appendix removed, do you pay a monthly amount for insurance, or is it pay per service? You may recall that in the USA health insurance is one of most expensive costs in the world. Having no insurance in the USA can bankrupt people, especially the elderly or those people who lose their jobs. Please advise. Thank you. I admire the fact you spend money on continuous education. That is outstanding. Cheers,

    • @Saltiss
      @Saltiss  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      It's usually pay per service and pretty affordable in Kazakhstan, unless it's some complex medical treatment. There are also state hospitals that provide some services for free. And thank you so much!
