      Hey Boss! I 100% agree with you. “Clean” is something I rarely notice since I come from such a city like Dubai but you’re right. It was a very clean country. Almaty has great food and super friendly people too. As a solo female traveler I definitely felt very safe.

    Hey! Thanks for a very informative video. Me and my husband are planning to go in September end. I had some safety concerns so I hope it’s a good place safety wise. Also, from where can i book day tours and airport transfers and what’s the best way to travel around the city? And are staying in airbnbs a good option or should we book a hotel and in which location should we book? Near the city center?

    • @JustGoWithAmreen
      @JustGoWithAmreen  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good luck with public transport. Don’t underestimate the language barrier at all. I suggest getting a guide irrespective of the weather. In the mountainous regions the weather changes very quickly. May June is still quite cold. You’ll most likely get snow in the higher altitude areas. I don’t want to scare you or exaggerate but this is a story the guide told me that there was a group that drove up to big Almaty lake in may or so with simple jackets. And the weather changed drastically, they eventually died because the snow storm blocked the roads, no one could rescue them and the cold weather got to them.

      Hey April is the perfect time to visit. End of March is not too bad either. There is barely anything to see in Almaty city though. Most of the stuff is outside. So perhaps divide your trip in halves. 50% explore the region live in the nature and relax in the evenings and 50% chill in Almaty and do short day trips to close by attractions and party at night.

    Hi um travelling to Astana for work during the moth of December. Plan is totally beyond my control 😅😅. Wanted to check experience, if any, what i should have expect in dead winter in Astana. Can I just do a tour in the capital during my off days? And can I know the reason why you said not to change currency at the airport? And can I use my credit card for my expenses or should I need cash in hand for everything? Sorry for the barrage of questions

    • @JustGoWithAmreen

      Hey 👋 just fyi I’ve not been to Astana. However, the reason I say never exchange currency at airports because the rate is shit and you loose money. There isn’t much to see in Astana. It will be dead dry winter. I doubt it even snows there. Hardly any beauty. Yes you can use credit cards almost everywhere.

    I don't agree with what you say. Not knowing what you are expecting you will entirely allow nature to bring its beauty to you. Maybe you might not have traveled to unfamiliar places like Iceland and Norway, but it's the most exhilarating when you don't know what is in front of you. It absolutely would blow your mind when you see something unusual and I doubt you had such an experience before
