Hello Richard! My first time watching you and as a fellow Alabamian, you made me chuckle at your personality and down-home phrases. Like talking to the fish, "quit quit quit. That is a beautiful creek. I live in Gardendale and was wondering where that was filmed. We have a beautiful state and I really enjoyed your video. Now subscribed, liked, and rung the bell. God bless.
Satsquatch.......Have I TOLD YOU LATELY that I love what you do, why you do it, and the way the Lord has guided and blessed your efforts to the enrichment of all?.....Great insight for both fishing and LIFE...Thanx RGTM......
I am a little embarrassed that it has taken me so long to get around to checking out your channel, and I have to say, no pun intended, I am hooked! I am becoming a bigger fan with every video. Really appreciate the fishing savvy, your candor and your theatrical presence! I think I used all my "dollar" words in the last sentence. Keep the content and information coming Richard, I am going to go fishing because it is "guud fer me!"
Richard, thank you SO MUCH for your videos!!! I learn so much, and you bring me light in a dark, dark time. Thank you from the bottom of my heart, and I hope you keep on fishing and filming!!
I love it i have been fishing all my life and you have tout me more in a month then Bill dance did all my life . thank for sharing your knowledge God bless you and your family always.
Great video Richard! Nothing like wade fishing in a small creek. Have you ever tried a Rebel Crawdad or Grasshopper? They work really good in creeks. Medium size twisted tail black worm also works great. Take care and GOD BLESS 🙏!
Richard, this is one of the most fun videos you've posted! It's an adventure kids would really enjoy as they would be learning to watch where they're walking, learning to observe other wildlife, and learning about fishing, too. And thanks for the tip about bending up the barb of the hook on a jig. It really helps hooking more bites.
i fished a creek like this few days ago and i used the 1/32 and bobby garlin rig with a little half bobber. The rig you showed for spring crappie. i ran the bobber 8" and i wore them out
Love the videos. It's really helped to reignite my fishing game..I got my personal best 8.6lb largemouth on a shallow diving 3" shad rapala during a thunderstorm at 6:30pm today. I spent the whole day fishing on the lake without catching squat, then came home and snagged a toad. Cheers, and best wishes.
That small Rapala is one of my high confidence baits from way back fishin with my Grand Father back in southern WV creeks , rivers , ponds. Love your content of keeping it fun and southern character and especially when your cutting up with momma Sue. Keep them coming!
I love the creek fishing videos. Here in North Carolina we don't have a lot of Creeks you can get in anymore people have messed up everything so bad. I do a lot of light fishing but I enjoy all your videos.
Love the video, love the scenery, love wading, and " let's let him go..." right into my frying pan! 😋 Definitely will be watching for more of your videos! 😀👍
When I creek fish I almost never fish downstream, mostly just cross current or upstream. Rebel lures makes some small crawfish baits that I've always had pretty good luck with.
Lovely creek!! Got some decent fish, nice multi species!! Creeks like that up north in Michigan are probably trout creeks. I’m in south Michigan and there’s a couple nice smallmouth creeks here!
Love the creek videos as much as the catfish videos. I took a lesson from your play book and caught me some minners and in the past couple of days I have caught over one hundred small mouth out of the river. I have to put them on a 1/4 ounce jighead cause of the current but it sure is fun. I'll give you a tip from my play book I use a 1/16 ounce jighead and a two or three inch yum curl tail grub in all white it works is clear water to
Let me just say if you need a nice ultra light go to a dunhams sporting goods and buy a canyon creek ultralight. Richard used one in a video and I decided to buy one. Best ultralight rod I’ve used. They even have two piece rods. God bless Richard. You are the man!
Sure does remind me of home mr. Jene. I use to wade all the creeks near my hometown. Caught several species. And you said it right the first time. I've been a Rapala man for 50 years. Watch out fer them there tics.... God Bless you and yours. Stay out of this un..... heat. Whooooo.
Great video, love that kind of fishing and grew up on a creek system just like that here in Indiana where I learned to swim and caught tons fish out of but I tell ya I believe you could catch a fish out of a mud hole in a gravel drive way, It is a lot of fun to watch you I enjoy your videos very much. God Bless
Awesome creek fishing Video Richard. Love those old rapalas too. Fished them a lot here in North Florida. This heat wave has been brutal , that creek fishing would be a perfect place to fish to stay cool.Take care and God Bless you .
Always liked a floating Rapala myself, and maybe sometimes a slow sinker too.. glad to watch you having success and making the great sport of fishing fun to watch when I can't be getting to it myself! Shallow? Rip lips!
Nice video mister Richard love your videos keep up the good work and I appreciate your videos I love your videos keep it up and I try to watch all of your videos
Used to do a lot of this type of fishing till I bought a boat and got lazy. ha. What's cool about fishing shallow clear water is that many times you can see the fish come and hit your bait.
I spent 2 hours the other day repairing my broke back Rapala J-9 lure. Top water type about as long as your forefinger. I have caught more fish on that one lure than any other in my box. I mean when they don't hit ANYTHING that old broke back will get me a fish!
This channel is better than anything on television
Love the creek videos! Thank you for bringing us along. God bless you.

That fish you caught at 8:00 is not a smallmouth, looks like a mean mouth which is a mix of a smallmouth and a spot.
