Isn't it supposed to be "Der Goldene Schuss". Whatever, this is really rare footage, and in color too! Back then, most on the continent had only Black and White TV.
It is, but the German language has a special symbol for words with double s, which is called Ringeless and looks like a capital B. This is the symbol: ß, hence non-German speakers think it is a b.
@@Mandobanjoman You are correct of course, that could have been the case. Except, that the title of the Austrian TV show “ Der Goldene Schuss” does show up in this video clip. The word “Schuss” or a shot, is written with double s.

@@KieroUnasBotasAGoGo They filmed an entire set for an episode of Colour Me Pop in late 68, similar to their concert in Croatia, a couple of months earlier. For decades it was believed to have been wiped, but it was recovered intact and screened only once at an exclusive event in the UK, where only a few privileged folks were able to view this holy grail, along with other recently recovered TOTP performances from various groups. Sadly, since that time it has remained out of sight, probably gathering dust somewhere, where it will likely remain for the rest of time.
And yes, you're correct. The footage in the studio on that Jennifer Eccles promo was culled from their rehearsal on the set of Colour Me Pop. That is the only footage that circulates in the hands of collectors. I wish the BBC would unearth the entire show for broadcast again, as the Croatian concert was made available in the same way. Too bad the Hollies organization doesn't seem that interested in preserving this piece of history for the fans.

@@tomc642 True. In German 'ss' is not always replaced by 'ß', but both spelling are right. Schuss or Schuß and mean the same..
