They actual had to make the Annabelle doll look way scarier than it actually is because the doll she’s based off of is just a regular ass Raggedy Ann doll.
As people have mentioned if you plan to continue the conjuring series PLEASE watch them in chronological order! Next would be Annabelle then Conjuring 2 if that helps :)
If they would want to go chronological. This would be the order: - [ ] The Nun 1 - [ ] Annabelle 2 - [ ] The Nun 2 - [ ] Annabelle 1 - [X ] Conjuring 1 - [ ] Annabelle 3 - [ ] Conjuring 2 - [ ] Conjuring 3
this was the first proper horror film i watched, i remember my dad grabbed my shoulders to scare me during a tense part and i still hold a grudge against him for it lol
So the thing about them doing the excorsim on Carolyn rather than the house, is that Bathesba was the main entity haunting the land, and the one who caused them the most harm….so by getting rid of her through Carolyn, that cleansed the whole house and probably the whole property from her. Now with the spirits of Rory, his mother, and the maid…..they weren’t bad people. Rory was actually trying to protect and warn them about the Bathesba which is why he made himself known to April the most (younger children tend to be more sensitive to spirits) and Cindy (when she ended up sleep walking into the wardrobe…..although with Christine, she could see the spirit which is what that whole Carolyn trying to stab her with scissors was about. In real life, there is or a at least was a super negative entity haunting the house but idk if it still lingers over the whole property….the actual house itself is still haunted but the sprouts aren’t necessarily bad,
Speaking of creepy dolls... Something I learned the hard way is don't sleep over by yourself when catsitting for friends out of town after watching "Annabelle: Creation".😐
Oh yeah lol. Cat people would never know if they're being haunted because cats are literally poltergeists. Random injuries you don't know how you got, things moving around, skittering, thuds, yowls, it's the cat.
I'd really recommend HEREDITARY and MIDSOMMAR, by Ari Aster. I've been watching horror movies all my life, I've seen at least 200 by now, and no horror movie stuck with me as much as Hereditary did. I watched in in the cinema, and I was just f#cked for a week. Midsommar is also great, it was heavily referenced in Amphibia season 3 (the plant-cult episode). My number 1 non-horror movie recommendation would be Everything, Everywhere, All at Once. Maybe my favorite movie experience in the past 6 years.
@@jovieshacarty5811Correction, midsommar is THE shit. I do like Hereditary better, but Midsommar is an incredible movie. Yeah it's weird, they put an insane amount of effort into making it weird, thats the point.
You guys are getting too worked up about the ending all because the sequels exist. The goal was to banish the evil thing in the house which was Bathsheba and they successfully banished her. That was the goal. That's it.
My favorite universe of all horror movies and one of my favorite directors who made a good balance between horror, story telling, and horror concepts. Might not be super scary as other movies but I definitely enjoy the execution. And even more by giving more main entities to confront.
Ngl, this is one of my favorite horror franchises, Ed and Lorraine are both the best demonologists and best couple, not to the mention Annabelle legit was my biggest fear as a kid

The explanation I've heard for children experiencing the supernatural more kinda hinges on this concept that the soul is immortal and always exists. So your soul existed somewhere without a body before you became conscious in the womb, then are born and live your life until you die, your soul leaving your body again. So the idea is that children only recently became connected to a body so they're more sensitive to the spiritual cause they haven't fully adjusted to a purely physical plane yet, if that makes sense. They're in a sense closer to entities because they were one not too long ago. Not saying that's my belief but that's kinda what I've come across.
@@shellyoss8754 yeah while I don't believe in a god or a devil I am a witch from the Caribbean so I find the supernatural interesting lol. This is a similar reason to why people believe some children can recall their past lives so to speak, cause they yet again haven't yet adjusted to their new existence.
can yall please make the screen larger if the opacity is going to be so high, i cant see anything thats being reacted to. im sure graphic design is someones passion over there lmao but between the bright pink and purple and patterns and animations and contact info and advertising thats bigger than whats in actually in the title of the video taking up most of the screen.... well thats sorta stupid lol so atleast u commit to the bit!
I do believe in the paranormal but I don't know if I believe in angels or demons. I just think there are good spirits and bad spirits. I do believe in the theory that multiple bad happenings can stick to the wall and that may be considered a demon. Old buildings can be haunted, new houses can be haunted. People don't have to have died there for a house to be haunted. I believe spirits that have gone to the other side can travel however they want and I believe spirits that rejected/missed going to the other side are stuck.
As a demonologist, we identify name/sigils, behaviors related to demonic spirits or creatures to appropriately vanish it if required. We are recognized by the church and other institutions whenever we are called upon to deal with highly dangerous situations.
I’ve watched nearly every horror there is, conjuring is still my favourite. Not just because it’s scary, but the atmosphere and acting is amazing, also they casted this very good, in my opinion
look up the conjuring cast, there has been paranormal moments and one of the members got claw marks on their body while being on the set and seen claw marks on their equipment/laptop
For me the best and most memorable scene in my opinion is when the Paranormal Investigators move their equipment in the house and the *"In The Room Where You Sleep"* song by *(Dead Man's Bones)* plays and it was sung by *"Ryan Gosling"* who played Ken in the Barbie movie and there was a Halloween band recording back in 2009 on TH-cam, god this movie makes me feel so fucking old.😭💕🔥✨👴
@SeeOhKnee it was one malevolent spirit that was in the house the one who possessed the mom. All the rest weren't harmful spirit so they got rid of the danger that's the happy ending.
The second Conjuring movie deals with the Amityville "haunting", and introduces The Nun to the shared universe too. The two The Nun spinoffs are prequels, as are Annabelle and Annabelle: Creation
Horror movies that are based off of real events are the scariest for me (for obvious reasons). Also, YES! Play phasmophobia please. Its my favorite game!
I also grew up in a haunted house, both my father and I could sense or feel it, but my mother never had any experiences. I even had my feet grabbed like Christine in the movie. I moved out of that house when I was 18.

Your discussion at the start reminds me of an episode of Just shoot Me. The main character was annoyed her father bought all the latest most popular doll to give to business clients so she couldn't buy one for charity. So she stuck a radio in one and made death threats to him. End of the episode he said "I've been thinking about it and decided to donate the dolls to charity, except for one that I had dismembered and buried under the moorlands."
