@@rachaelhogan7850 I’m 48 years old and I’ve been watching horror movies since the early 80s and Amityville 2: the possession is the only movie that ever scared the shit out of me. Granted, I watched it way younger than I should have. Even watching that movie years later as an adult, it is brutal. Even if you remove all of the supernatural aspects from it and there was no demon possession or anything like that in the movie, just the dynamic of that family is frightening. Just spending time in that house with what has to be one of the most dysfunctional families I’ve ever seen would scare the shit out of me.
@@paullanier3597 My wife and I love horror movies and we finally watched it last Halloween and it disturbed us so much. Watching one of those "family annihilator" scenarios play out in the third act was so terrifying.

Fun facts; Maurice Gross became a very close friend to the family and much of a father figure to the children who’s dad never rreturned, Maurice stayed in the home on the couch for over 2 years after the Warrens left to give the family peace of mind. After seeing what he did he told Lorainne his hope was answered, he knew there was a beyond , that his daughter that died in the motorcycle accident was in fact somewhere but knowing evil exists that wanted Janet’s soul he was scared to leave her and the family alone which they were greatful for. All of the evidence from all the radio hosts, tv hosts, journalists , The real tapes and video is all on line and it’s much scarrier than the movie. The Police report from the 3 officers that showed up was read during the writing and 2 of the officers mysteriously left the police force less than a week after they filed the reports which were quickly redacted with a representative telling a journalist that 2 of the officers weren’t mentally fit so the report was destroyed. The officer that remained told the journalist the other 2 were perfectly sound mentally essentially denying the official statement and said he was not allowed to comment on the case. Government officials hated the publicity the case got and very avidly put pressure on everyone that could to deny and discredit but people that the officers would never go on record denying what they say and even resigned before writing a false report denying what they originally claimed .is terrifying! I would warn though, if this stuff scares you or you aren’t sure if it’s real but still unsettled you , don’t go down the rabbit hole on this case listening to the audio and video , when you remember it was the 60-70’s and see this 11 year old , it’s a different type of scarry. Oh and EOM yes Ammityville is another movie but it’s not in the conjuring universe , the Warrens did investigate it but the original movies were done based on the Lutz familes accounts and on the reports from Ronny Defaios brutal murder of his family. He never denied his plea in court that it was a pig faced demon that made him do it. People can say he’s lying , but that is a rediculius defense legally , his attorneys knew it would be one of the first cases to claim insanity by demonic possession but Ronny refused to lie and say it was real . Regardless , a young man killed his entire family in the night , never tried to run away and claimed from day one a demon made him do it . Seems like a son and brother with no history of mental health problems or history of violence kills his whole family and desprately wants the world to know it was a demon , that’s all he cared about was wanting the world to know it was real . He knew he’d spend life in prison. The Lutz family fled the house in the middle of the night with the step dad (who left the family years later) going through the same steps Ronny did and claimed so see a pig faced demon around the house but after deciding he was going to kill the family his love for his wife and step daughters was enough to wake them in the night and tell them they needdd to leave the home right then, they never returned and left all their belongings. Whether you believe in the paranormal , there’s a whole lot of testimonies of real people that claim wild stories not for fame but to let people know it’s real. The truth is, these claims ruin their lives , parents lose children with the state claiming not fit to have children in the home, they lose jobs , their friends think their crazy , even the warrens faced terrible accusations through their entire lives. It’s not good fame claiming this stuff but still countless people claim it.
Something that doesn't really get mentioned in the movie, and that a lot of US viewers might not be familiar with, is that the family were living in public housing. It's basically housing owned by the government, usually rented out at a fairly low rent to low-income families (like a single mother of 3). If they moved out and broke the lease, and especially if they'd left the place damaged, they would likely have been denied public housing again. The Enfield house is still standing; it was rented out again after the Hodgsons moved out, and eventually sold to someone who put it back on the rental market. Apparently, none of the later occupants have reported any paranormal activity, but a lot of them have had issues with being harassed by tourists.
My favorite thing about this movie is this: in every haunted house movie, we as the audience always say “If this happened to me I’d be out of there.”. The moment that dresser flew across the room, they peaced out. And then they called the cops. Normally the ghost hides in that situation. Not this time. And the cops noped out, too. Great stuff.
I also love how the police have no idea what to do. While a lot of the time the rule in horror is 'police won't help (and/or are in on it)', if they do help they suddenly transform into experts overnight. Instead they were like 'uhhhh call a priest? that's what they do in movies right? idk they didn't cover this at the academy'.
@@dartigens10 Apparently in real life the police went round and saw the chair move. They had to write it in a report and none of them actually knew what to do!

I had a very creepy laundry room one time in a house with 6 large apartments. You had to go downstairs, walk a long hallway that had one light bulb, and you had to walk past 6 storage areas made up of chicken wire. On the way downstairs you had to walk past the back door that you always hoped the other tenants would lock when they came home. At the end of the hallway to the right was the washer and dryer. I only did laundry during the day, not that it was much more comforting.
This gonna be one of them jumper ones for sure and some mini ❤ attack's involved the original amityville is good would love event horizon for some cosmic horror or even jeeper's creeper's
Demonverse timeline movies : 1. The Nun (2018) 2. Annabelle: Creation (2017) 3. The Nun 2 4. Annabelle (2014) 5. The Conjuring (2013) 6. Annabelle Comes Home (2019) 7. The Curse of La Llorona (2019) 8. The Conjuring 2 (2016) 9. The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021)
Absolutely LOVE Conjuring 2. I like the 1st one, but I think this one is better and much creepier. There's such an atmosphere to this one that you feel every time you watch it. Although I have a feeling you'll probably only be watching this one once 😆 All of The Conjuring, Annabelle and The Nun films are of the same universe. It would be a tragedy if you didn't do them all. As a famous kid said once, I triple dog dare ya 😏
yes the Lutz family were informed prior to moving into the home about Dafeo family tragedy. They however didn't know the details of the case. Possession
There is a way to watch these in order based on timeline. The nun is suppose to be the first one in the timeline. Gotta watch Annabelle films the last majority of it takes place in the warrens home with there daughter (McKenna Grace) if I’m not mistaken. And shit goes down, I love all of the Conjurverse there are creepy and scary.
Great reaction as usual bro. I’m a pretty hard & tough dude or pretend to be anyway, but am a big softie inside. Anyway, graphic gore & bloody horror doesn’t faze me, but when you get into supernatural & paranormal horror then I get freaked the hell out. Don’t watch this stuff alone at night unless you want to stay up all night freaked out 😦🫤😵😵💫🥴
If you pause at exactly 21:36 the director put in a nice easter egg when she is scratching in her bible. The letters on the bookshelf spell out something specific.
21:12 i saw this is the movie theatre when it first came out , i PUNCHED THE AIR SO HARD im so glad no one was sitting in front of me cause my fight or flight went OFF
My laundry room is in an old basement with a huge creepy factor, but my only problem with it is I have Danny Glover knees (when he's not using them) and I'm afraid of falling or some critter jumping down off of a pipe down upon my head or shoulders. I've been here 56 years and it hasn't happened yet so I know there's a God. The basement is very Amityville-ish and yes, you should check the movie out. Like me, I think you'll just be upset that the family stayed as long as they did. I really don't feel that's a spoiler. I don't do spoilers.
Did you miss the old man sitting in the chair downstairs when Billy was walking up the stairs? Fun fact: Valak's name was in Ed and Lorraine's house in earlier scenes of the movie - the bookshelf and kitchen.
So the warrens story here is much like the first movie. The mother asked the warrens to leave they did figured it out as they left. But the church wouldn’t accept it and they had to leave it all alone. The true target of the spirit was the mother from what I can tell. Because the daughters all experienced the haunting. Until they moved out. The mother did truly die in the same chair as the old man, aka bill Wilkins. And indeed The voice at the credits is the real recording for the account. Many scenes are straight from first hand accounts. Video, photography and audio recordings. As in they re-enacted what happened in several part of the movie. The warrens did truly want to help. But sometimes fear, makes people who wish to help, to leave because of it
The main story is based on The Enfield Poltergeist which was used prior for the movie Ghostwatch in 1992 which was made in the form of a television crew filming a documentary as part of the investigation. It's worth watching but since I had seen it, much of the surprise of The Conjuring 2 was ruined.
The first movies that I ever saw were The Fog ( I was 4) and Friday the 13th (I was 5), my mom was a huge movie person and especially horror movie lover so I learned really young to separate adn remember, "it's just a movie" and ended up falling in love with horror movies. Also, Bill Cosby had an album in which he was speaking about scaring people as one of the routines on there and I remember hearing that " you truly can see who someone is when they get scared" so I thought it was funny (I still do) to scare people, especially when watching scary movies. That being said, I cannot tell you how many times that I've watched one of your reactions and wished there was some way that I could hid behind those curtains and then step out, grab your shoulders and scream like a banshie just to get your reaction!!!! 🤣🤣🤣
I get so tense that I end up in a diagonal standing position where only the back of my shoulders and knees are touching a surface. We call it “levitating in fear” 😂
😂 Now that you mentioned having laundry in the basement you have to watch 'The Haunted.' A made for TV movie from 1991 with Sally Kirkland in it. Somebody uploaded an HD from SD copy of it on here about a year ago.
Insidious isn't part of the Conjuring universe, it's a universe of it's own. The only connection between the two is Patrick Wilson is in both. He plays different characters in each movie. They also have James Wan in common, he helped create both universes.
@@lynnamc524 you're wrong. I didn't watch conjuring 1 fully. But isn't the house haunted by a female, who is abusive against her son? The screaming woman. So some parts of her are in Annabelle too. So if my memory serves right, the abusive young boy becomes later the woman in black.(The insidious universe) But some parts are confusing. 1: is the young boy becoming the woman in black. Because the mother dressed him as a girl. Or 2: is the mother itself become mother in black. Or 3: or is the boy ghost & mother ghost a another entity of the Demon. The same Demon of Conjuring & The Nun.
Since it is close to October 31st you should react to the Amittyville saga. I believe there’s 5 movies. Someone correct me if I’m wrong because I’m not sure how many movies it is. That will probably have you poop your pants…it’s very sad too but a good horror film.
James you are so hilarious, you crack me up every time,.hmmpf when at the end, the real pics of the family, and the real audio tapes started, you were peace out, no thank you,..lol,..so reminded me of an episode I saw the other day of Grimm,..when the cops found a car with all kinds of candles, and voodoo paraphernalia in the trunk, and I think it was Nick, Grimm, said looks like someone's having a party, and the other cop, Reggie Lee, Wu,(he always says something funny) said it's not a party I wanna be invited to,. lol, hmmpf guess Conjuring isn't a party you wanna be invited to huh James,..lol non of us would,..and your right the color scheme in the filming, so adds to the desolate atmosphere of the movie, the doom and gloom, and despair,..and the darkness of what the characters faced,..lol and when you said I know after that encounter the little girl, the sister, wasn't gonna turn the light out,..right, and that little bedside light wasn't enough anyway,..she should've had one of those spotlights they use to use to find planes, or direct them, don't know if they still do that, but that's the light she needed!, do continue in the Conjuring universe, it's really, really good, the nun movies are so good, if you haven't seen them do continue on to those, Godspeed, Peace ✌
This was based on a true story, some things were added for dramatic story telling reasons, but it's mostly based on true events. the warrens were a real paranormal investigation couple in the 70's... they did visit a family in the UK that was having similar problems with poltergeist activity, and possession of the little girl, there's videos about it out there if you care to research up on it, it's called the Enfield poltergeist, or the Enfield hauntings.
The nun is apart of this world. You really should try this whole series. amityville isn’t apart of this series. But the real Ed and Loraine did go to that house.

On the way downstairs you had to walk past the back door that you always hoped the other tenants would lock when they came home. At the end of the hallway to the right was the washer and dryer. I only did laundry during the day, not that it was much more comforting.
Does anyone else chest hurt when seeing Ed get impaled in Lorraine's vision.
This gonna be one of them jumper ones for sure and some mini ❤ attack's involved the original amityville is good would love event horizon for some cosmic horror or even jeeper's creeper's

😂 I love watching your reactions you’re hilarious
Absolutely LOVE Conjuring 2. I like the 1st one, but I think this one is better and much creepier. There's such an atmosphere to this one that you feel every time you watch it. Although I have a feeling you'll probably only be watching this one once 😆
All of The Conjuring, Annabelle and The Nun films are of the same universe.
Don’t watch this stuff alone at night unless you want to stay up all night freaked out 😦🫤😵😵💫🥴
Ahhh, J, you should have sat through the "real" pictures and videos at the end 😅 Have you seen Oculus and Mirrors? I reckon you'd quite enjoy them.
If you pause at exactly 21:36 the director put in a nice easter egg when she is scratching in her bible. The letters on the bookshelf spell out something specific.
I hope he had ice cream after.
Friday 13th remake soon?
Soon-ish.
Jason X first.
@@Howard.Watkins X will be first out of those two.
You need to watch the The Entity. Keep grinding 💪
But sometimes fear, makes people who wish to help, to leave because of it
Maybe. Or they were enablers. The Warrens were con artists lol.
Conjuring 2!!! On a Friday let’s go…fresh off work tuning in!
Are these the actual tapes?... oh yeah, we not doing that... 😂😅 I love your reactions so much, and your comments are hilarious. ❤
46:49 so immensely relatable
50:40 Little dude had liquid courage 😂😂😭😭👻👻
Awesome reaction, I hope you keep checking out the rest of this franchise, I know you can handle it ! :D
The part where they where interviewing her with the camera crew when, with Billy's voice the real video is online
They were going to do a “Crooked Man” movie but they did the damn Nun instead. I really wish they had stuck with Crooked Man.
Hi Jay. Your reactions are great. Really felt bad for the family in Enfield. xx
This movie had me standing up, pacing and looking around... I still be like "My name is Bill Wilkins ..." And freak my self out.
I get so tense that I end up in a diagonal standing position where only the back of my shoulders and knees are touching a surface. We call it “levitating in fear” 😂
Do you know will be a good movie for him to watch maximum overdrive now that is movie worth reacting to
Who Made Who Who Made You
@@MrDarkness4 that was a good line in the movie with the song and I’ll say this the songs that were added to it are fire and amazing
@@Cutiepie-mf4ht facts bruh also Im a huge HUGE AC/DC fan and Who Made Who is one of my favorite songs by them
😂
Now that you mentioned having laundry in the basement you have to watch 'The Haunted.' A made for TV movie from 1991 with Sally Kirkland in it. Somebody uploaded an HD from SD copy of it on here about a year ago.
Is that the amityville house at the beginning? That movie gave me nightmares when i was young. I will never forget.
The Nun
Conjuring
Annabelle
Insidious
Amityville
Are all in the same universe and have connection with eachother.
🙂
Insidious isn't part of the Conjuring universe, it's a universe of it's own. The only connection between the two is Patrick Wilson is in both. He plays different characters in each movie. They also have James Wan in common, he helped create both universes.
Every single one was fake.
@@lynnamc524 you're wrong.
I didn't watch conjuring 1 fully.
But isn't the house haunted by a female, who is abusive against her son?
The screaming woman.
So some parts of her are in Annabelle too.
So if my memory serves right, the abusive young boy becomes later the woman in black.(The insidious universe)
But some parts are confusing.
1: is the young boy becoming the woman in black. Because the mother dressed him as a girl.
Or
2: is the mother itself become mother in black.
Or
3: or is the boy ghost & mother ghost a another entity of the Demon. The same Demon of Conjuring & The Nun.
I LOVE YOUR DOG 🐕 ❤️ ♥️ 💕
Since it is close to October 31st you should react to the Amittyville saga. I believe there’s 5 movies. Someone correct me if I’m wrong because I’m not sure how many movies it is. That will probably have you poop your pants…it’s very sad too but a good horror film.
Bruh... we ain't doing that! lol Love it!
I’m so excited for this. I’m calling atleast 10 “shut ups” before I watch it 😂
James you are so hilarious, you crack me up every time,.hmmpf when at the end, the real pics of the family, and the real audio tapes started, you were peace out, no thank you,..lol,..so reminded me of an episode I saw the other day of Grimm,..when the cops found a car with all kinds of candles, and voodoo paraphernalia in the trunk, and I think it was Nick, Grimm, said looks like someone's having a party, and the other cop, Reggie Lee, Wu,(he always says something funny) said it's not a party I wanna be invited to,. lol, hmmpf guess Conjuring isn't a party you wanna be invited to huh James,..lol non of us would,..and your right the color scheme in the filming, so adds to the desolate atmosphere of the movie, the doom and gloom, and despair,..and the darkness of what the characters faced,..lol and when you said I know after that encounter the little girl, the sister, wasn't gonna turn the light out,..right, and that little bedside light wasn't enough anyway,..she should've had one of those spotlights they use to use to find planes, or direct them, don't know if they still do that, but that's the light she needed!, do continue in the Conjuring universe, it's really, really good, the nun movies are so good, if you haven't seen them do continue on to those, Godspeed, Peace ✌
Only just watching now. One of my favourite horror sequels. Enjoy❤
im gonna be real with ya, i have seen knives fly across rooms and people standing in doors ways that were there and gone and back again, all the kids on the street saw her at some point... haunted out pump shed... the knives were down the road in anbandoned house we used for skipping school...
aint convincing me there aint spirits out there haha seen it myself
the "we aint doin that" hahahaha
Bro, you'll have to watch both Amityville the old one and the new .Both of them are great, but the one that's new has Ryan Reynolds. It's pretty damn good
How many of y'all seen the name VALAK the first time u watched this movie?
