I have one on order myself and I have a ps2 slim silver model. I can't wait to start building a good collection on it. I do have the levelhike hdmi adapter as well.
@FischerTheRebel Yup, I started from scratch, formatted an official 8MB magic gate memory card (to eliminate a potential cause of failure by not using the Ali express FMCB memory card, not sure that was the problem though) using the latest version of Free MC Boot, then installed it on the newly formatted memory card, then downloaded the daily build of OPL from the GitHub page (the standard zip file from 2 days ago) and added that to FMCB then the changes saved with no problems at all. I hope this works for you, was really pissing me off for a while.
@@MidLifeGamerGuy Thank you, yeah the opl beta fixed it but now the games are not starting properly… Always have to remove fmcb after opl is loaded, then start the game -> blackscreen -> have to remove mx4sio and put it back in to get the game loading. Has anybody a fix for that Problem?
Did you make sure to set it to MBR in Rufus? Fat32 will definitely get the job done, just be aware of that it has file size limitations: you can't use files larger than 4gb, which is the majority of the PlayStation 2 library
@@doitallYT i checked and I think I got lied to somewhere, I ain't able to find anything about opl ever supporting NTFS so I just swotchrd back to fat32
I don't know what you mean? Are you saying that you set the speed of the video to 1.5X or 2X? That's not something I'm in control of, you need to change your video player settings. Alternately, if you need the video slowed down, you can also change the video playback speed to be slower than 1X.
Not that I've experienced so far, totally stable on everything I tried! That said, I have not done extensive testing, but from everything I have heard / seen it seems like an extremely reliable method for the long term 😎👍

What do we do when the settings never save in OPL? Everytime I hit save it does the following...
Saving Config...
Just stays there spinning forever.

Straight to the point, it works ! thanks
I always found it easier when folks cut out the fluff, glad you found it helpful! 😁👍
Tried multiple times, the BDM Start Mode = Auto & MX4SIO = On, saving changes stuck for 30mins+ but any other changes save immediately 🤷🏻
Do you find a fix? Having the same Problem

If mcboot and msx4sio is connected, where is the save file is located to?
Wow so many steps to do 😮😮
It definitely takes a little bit of setup to get started, but you only have to do it once and then you're set 😁👍
Have u tried a 500Gb sd yet?
My mc:0 doesn't have an apps folder
Exfat not working for me but fat32 is working

Awesome, glad it's up and running! 😁👍
Hey when you got a sec can you update the join link for your discord server?
after playing it for a month i encountered an issue, with the mx4sio, every now and then i experience game freeze and black screen any fix?
followed your method btw
Newest version of opl says it supports NTFS, regardless it doesn't pick up the games on my NTFS usb
Did you make sure to set it up in MBR instead of GPT in Rufus?

Glad you were able to find a solution! 😁👍

Please use screen recording software.

I can't get your problem, could you explain it better?
Does it work on Usb 2.0/3.0 for games?
Sure! It's significantly slower, but it will get the job done 😁👍
Is the exfat format necessary?
yes it is.
@@azurekite3870fat32 won’t work ?
Bro you make it harder though 💀 don't ever use 1.5x oe 2x when you are uploading video on TH-cam

Not bad, ill try one day❕🦾
Definitely worth trying! The adapter is super affordable and seems to load things significantly faster than other methods I've tried, I'm a fan 😁👍
