Overdrive Versus Libby: Which App Should You Choose

OverDrive and Libby are both e-book apps available to you for free with your library card; both give you access to thousands of downloadable e-books and audiobooks; and both are from the creators of OverDrive. When Libby came out I decided to stick with Overdrive since I prefer their UI, unfortunately my app just informed me they are discontinuing Overdrive and I HAVE to switch. Sigh, not looking forward to learning a new app even if it has probably improved since the last time I tried it.

How do I sync overdrive wishlist to libby?

I’m very disappointed that overdrive was discontinued. Libi is much less useful. 1. It does not have the screen speak feature.
2. While in audio book I cannot see the list of chapters. etc. etc.

You can't choose Overdrive anymore. We're forced to take libby and I hate it. To transfer audiobooks to an ipad, all you had to do in overdrive was click download and after that was finished, you clicked transfer. Now, with libby, i have no idea what to do to transfer to my ipad. Why couldn't they just have upgraded the old one.

Thanks for your comment. The OverDrive app is in the process of being sunsetted, so it's no longer available to download. For audiobooks, you no longer need to transfer audiobook files to your iPad to play the book. You only need to borrow the audiobook, then tap "Open in Libby" to begin playing. Once your audiobook is completely downloaded on the app, it will play without a wifi connection.

Libby is better, I thought overdrive was good, but Libby lets you renew your books easily.
