Eric Holloway (voice of the gods) is what's known as an oktavist. When he used to sing in choirs he was constantly told to come up. He never understood that, because he's a bass and supposed to be at the bottom, but he eventually came to realize that he was singing the bass part a full octave lower than the other basses in the choir were doing it.
The voice of God/Zeus's name is Eric Holloway. The first time I saw this my jaw DROPPED, I knew that he could go low, but not THAT low. I agree with you, I think that the gods use him as a vessel to communicate with humans. He is insane. Great reaction!
That was the voice of the Kraken! I first encountered Eric with Peyton Parrish and Miracle of Sound doing Valhalla Calling and was blown out of my seat! You also reacted to that a year ago so you've at least seen him in his everyday voice. I'm glad I didn't miss this one! Thank you for reacting to it!
This was absolutely phenomenal, such a great mix of bass voices. Love getting to watch DJ's brain break too. Thank you Luke for the reaction request :) Thank you DJ for this reaction, the brain breaks are always fun! See you for the livestream tomorrow!
I can't remember if you have reacted to it or not, but to hear Eric Holloway again, he collaborated with Marwan Ayman on the song Heat Waves - over on Marwan's channel. Also, check out Marwan's solo stuff. It's excellent!
Ah, yes. And you thought you'd heard an earthquake before. You have now heard an oktavist--the rarest and lowest vocal range. That's Eric Holloway. The only music that is arranged for oktavists is Russian/Slavic liturgical and folk music. He wanted to sing, but no choir would accept him because they couldn't use his range. After he retired from being an accountant he discovered the bass community on Tik Tok and found singers who actually wanted to sing with him. They loved what he could do and encouraged him. He now has a second career as a voice-over artist, as well as a singer. The werewolf is The Snikle and the curly haired singer (who is also a bass) is Davide Dalmonte from Italy (Sardinia). They are both in the Bass Singers of Tik Tok version of "Hoist the Colors." I think Bobby Bass upped his acting game when he did "Friend Like Me" from Aladdin with The Bass Gang.
Titan Eric Hollaway aka TheBassVoice is asked/ featured on video games for his voice. As a boss demon among them. That says enough. Doom Eternal, Runescape and Lost Ark. You also find a short duet version of Misty Mountains between him and Geoff Castellucci on his channel. And lowest We Wish You a Merry Christmas I ever heard!
i had that same reaction with the eric hallway part he is a dragon bass person that I've ever saw. if you were wondering i listened to the song before watching the music video and i got jumpscared by bass also
The reason you think of bass as slow is because it's usually on sustained notes and the pace, but I have performed both parts of the song bass man and done both soprano notes and subharmonics. Give me the option and I'll flutter tongue and give a vocal double bass just because I can and watch everything collapse because I turned a whole note in to 16th notes
My guess: You're associating bass voices with dirges, which are slower than standard song tempos Both Peter and Brev are Opera Trained And the Great Eric Holloway, from whom all other bass singers sound like tenors
I'm beginning to doubt my belief that there can never be too much bass. Not really. This is great. Have you seen the Hound and the Fox version with Adam Chance? Totally different from this, of course, but also great.
that was amazing dj reaction to eric but that wwas just he's normal talking voice eric dont have to use bass tone if you see peter baber's interview with eric
strange thought but I've been watching silent hill 2 remake playthroughs lately and I have to say, if you shaved the beard off one of these, it would be a spitting image for SH2's "James" , I'm sure you can work out which one🤔😂
At least with "normal" bass voices, you don't _need_ to sing slow at all! You could transpose a tenor patter song like "I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major-General" right down, and a vocally agile basso profundo singer would have no trouble. The gotcha is the vocal agility, though - there seem to be fewer agile low singers, and I don't know if there is something about the voice that causes that, or if people don't train for it because most bass parts emphasise the weight of the voice instead. (I am a vocally agile singer in that range, but sadly not very good.) When you get to the naturally super-low voices like Eric's I have no idea, simply because lower notes have longer wavelengths and I don't know how many complete waves need to hit your ear for your brain to register the note properly.

10:20 that's also his speaking voice 😂😂😂
"Why are you looking at me both like I'm your best friend and your next meal?" -- DYING. You have put my feelings into words with 100% accuracy!

Man with eye patch :Eric Holloway "thatbassvoice" "Wolfman": The Snikle
Eric's bass is so good. Going down there in the subharmonics range is so cool.
I have so many delicious chills running up and down my spine! 🥴
You really need to react to Bass Gangs Rains of Castamere, My Mother Told Me, and Dragonborn Comes. Absolutely amazing. #bassgangforever❤
E Bucks is the name of the guy whos channel it is on.. You have watched him before. He was in caspers zombie cover

I love Bobby's Friend Like Me. So much fun.
behold, Earthquake Holloway.
Enjoyed your reaction to this amazing cover. Bass singers are underrated these guys can rock your headphones
Eric Holloway is your Zeus voice. I adore him too. Shakes the marrow in me bones from top to toe and rumbles me tummy too.
Literally just walked in the door at work and this is the 1st thing I see and I'm here for it!
The best combination I can think of.

David delmonte was the one who came in high. But he is also a bass singer aswell
Crazy how he has the same lowest chest note recorded as Eric 💀
3 minutes in and he has not heard ERIC yet!
At 9:50 he met he we basses call "Father Dragon". We are all inferior dragons to Eric.
Thanks DJ 😊
thanks for another amazing one, dj! it's always fun to see your reactions
i had that same reaction with the eric hallway part he is a dragon bass person that I've ever saw. if you were wondering i listened to the song before watching the music video and i got jumpscared by bass also
I always forget how deep Eric Holloway's voice and I'm shocked every time!

I need to know where you got that jersey, my dude!
7:30 Davide Dalmonte. he is usually a bass singer too
My guess: You're associating bass voices with dirges, which are slower than standard song tempos
Both Peter and Brev are Opera Trained

You're exaggerating too much , other basses voice doesn't sound like tenors. They sound probably young bass version what eric does.
I'm beginning to doubt my belief that there can never be too much bass. Not really. This is great. Have you seen the Hound and the Fox version with Adam Chance? Totally different from this, of course, but also great.

The Snikle
i was quite sure you already experienced eric some time ago. But you did not looked prepared.
Most of the idea about bass singers being slow is mostly stereotypical, most can sing faster
Also many of those bass singers can sing an exceptional range, they can sing falsetto
u gotta do war pigs by black sabbath trust me bro
