Nigeria is not America,Nigerians in diaspora should stop this comparison,it makes you sound naive and illiterate.Minimum wage in Nigeria is 17 dollars a month,yes,17 dollars.The highest paid worker in Nigeria is probably the minimum wage in America.Tell me how many years work to be able to afford something like this in Nigeria then? The price of these properties in relation to the pay is the reason there is so much corruption in nigeria,that is the only way most people can afford a home.Let us not go into infrastructure that is lacking in Nigeria compared to America.You would probably need to build your own borehole for water,generator for electricity and even,maybe your own road to be able to get to your house.😅The highways might be constructed but the road leading to some of these houses are nothing to write home about.

1)You’re using a cheap 25 year mortgage to buy that $400k house. You have to buy this one with cash or an expensive payment plan maximum 5 years.
2)You are certain your house will hold value or grow in dollar terms. In Nigeria it may grow in Naira terms but depreciate in dollar terms.
