- Gilbert "Durinho" Burns works with trainers at Institute of Human Performance in Boca Raton to get ready for his main event fight with Tyron Woodly. Gilbert is now the main event of UFC 258 againts former teammate Kamaru Usman on February 13th in Las Vegas. Stay tuned to Gilberts channel for more thoughts on the fight as well as training footage. Gilbert Alexander Pontes Burns, is a Brazilian professional mixed martial artist and submission grappler who currently competes in the welterweight division of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). As a grappler, Burns is a three-time World Champion and World Cup gold medalist.

He can watch but doesnt have the time to prepare for what he sees at this point. The real training is done weeks before the fight. Cant really drill into your body a whole different fight plan/moves in a matter of days

In my opinion, I thing Gilbert is faster and stronger and he’s better on the ground but I think usman is better in the clinch has more stamina, can adjust a lot better and has more experience. Over all I think it’s gonna be a great fight it’s so hard to predict but with out a doubt I’m routing for Gilbert but if usman were to win I wouldn’t be mad
If I'm not mistaken the coach is speaking to him in Spanish and Gilbert speaks Portuguese. They are similar in some words, but overall they are quite different languages. Seems that Gilbert forgives him.
Brazilians understand Spanish very well. On the other hand, people who speak Spanish don't get a word that we say haha
