“Don’t wear feathers in your hair at Tribal. Don’t tell your stories - people don’t believe your stories; they mock you, there’s no reason to tell ‘em. And do your tai-chi in private where nobody can see you.” Tyson, coaching Coach. The thing is, Tyson was being so heartfelt and sincere. There was not an ounce of venom in that statement - he even prefaced it by saying, “Just let me know how I can help. I’ll coach you through it, I may tell you things you don’t like, but it’s gonna turn out better for ya.” A true bro moment. Tyson grew a lot from Season 18 to Season 20.
WillELowry when Tyson was giving very blunt advice and was like stop meditating in from of everyone I was dying laughing. He was being very nice but it was just so accurate and blunt it was hilarious
At first it was quite funny, but upon a rewatch when he said “Am I that bad of a person, man?” while holding his tears, I was like... damn. That sounds genuinely painful.
Ikr. He is so funny but at the same time I do feel bad for him. I think he is a weird person that nobody knows how to handle. So people mock him and make him feel like a fool.
I've always said that if you truly care about someone, you should tell them what they NEED to hear which is different from what they want to hear. This is a perfect example . Tyson actually cares about coach and that's why he's giving him harsh truths in private. He isn't making fun of him, nothing. Just giving him genuinely good advice that he knows coach can't see . Tyson is a bro 👊
The comments mad about coach at tribal were pretty brutal. Coach was really affected by the validation from his peers, Tyson was so sincere and honest. People give Coach a ton of crap and he takes it on the chin pretty well most of the time. He’s human just like everyone else, vulnerability effects all people in some way. Pretty great to see him rebound into his goody self by the end but of course in private, like Tyson said.
He definitely plays up a character/is self-aware, this scene was interesting because he was genuinely feeling down but was committed to the character. Of course Coach is not ignoble!! 😉
Rob really only do it because he needed Coach. Coach is a lot of thing, but he is tough as hell. Even managed to make Colby look like a wimp. Lol. I doubted Rob would care if he is a weak member.
Ikr. And in the end Coach acting like a kid and wanted Rob to pay attention to him and Rob was like being a good dad finally giving him some attention. So funny but cute. I love coach. 🤣
Coach should wear what he wants, and do Tai Chi where he wants. Just because he has different interests and tastes than they are used to, doesn't mean he needs to hide it.
@@charliez077 True but if your only choices are hero and villain, someone whose game was synonymous with honor and integrity is a better fit for hero (assuming he had to be on the season at all). Swap him for James, a mean-spirited bully.

That may be top 5 moments all time. Tyson delivered it like he’d been waiting to say it for years.
Tyson grows quite a bit between each time that he plays, definitely one of the best character arcs in the show’s history.
This is a really emotional and vulnerable moment, perfectly seasoned with a bit of unintentional comedy. Perfected Coach drama
WillELowry when Tyson was giving very blunt advice and was like stop meditating in from of everyone I was dying laughing. He was being very nice but it was just so accurate and blunt it was hilarious
This is probably my favorite Tyson moment in his four seasons.
At first it was quite funny, but upon a rewatch when he said “Am I that bad of a person, man?” while holding his tears, I was like... damn. That sounds genuinely painful.
I felt the samee
Yeah out of context it's more a feels thing but during the season it's funny because we've been putting up with him the whole time
And the truth is, he’s really not(until South Pacific at least.) He’s annoying but he’s not a bad person.
Coach:
''I am last of the mohicans, king Arthur''
Also Coach:
Breaks down in tears when Sandra said he wasn't working at camp
Even warriors can be sensitive
Ikr. He is so funny but at the same time I do feel bad for him. I think he is a weird person that nobody knows how to handle. So people mock him and make him feel like a fool.
Tyson's advice is the best XD So brutally honest: "Don't wear feathers in your hair at Tribal Council."
Callum Hutchinson he’s advice was accurate and blunt lol
Don’t tell your stories, nobody believes them
Funny cause of the BVW he talked about ruffling feathers.
Coach: I'm full of honor and integrity. I do so much for this tribe.
Sandra: No you don't.
Coach: 😢
Man...I love Russell and Parvati...but I do really wish Tyson and Coach became the power couple of the game.
wtf
Coach in a power couple after breaking down and talking about quitting after Sandra's ONE critical remark about him... yeah talk about POWER xD

I would like to have someone like Tyson..😔
1:34 is straight out of a comedy. Life imitating art.
The way the music switches up.. truly iconic

Coach is one of my favorites and this scene makes him even better for me
This is my favorite scene in survivor
Same
"I understand where you are coming from, DUDE". ""No problem, Dude" lmao
Frrr
Tyson and Coach, an iconic duo
And because of this Coach came back and became a cult leader in SoPa.
Did anyone notice earlier in this episode at the challenge Tyson kissed J.T. on the cheek
I love how Coach is genuinely shocked to hear what people think of him. Also, "ignoble?" Really?
He definitely plays up a character/is self-aware, this scene was interesting because he was genuinely feeling down but was committed to the character. Of course Coach is not ignoble!! 😉
Rob :D So nice of him to do that really.

Only for Coach to screw up and get Rob voted out
I love Coach and Tyson
Always liked coach. Yeah he’s weird and I’m his own world a lot of the time, but he’s a genuine good dude.

Ikr. And in the end Coach acting like a kid and wanted Rob to pay attention to him and Rob was like being a good dad finally giving him some attention. So funny but cute. I love coach. 🤣

The only real villain was Russell. Everyone else was just an A hole or full of themselves.
