    I remember wanting this bag when LV was selling it! I love The exterior pocket! I didn’t think about it looking like the Pochette Métis! 💕❤️ I love the two straps as well! I remember loving it also for that reason! That’s great LV did that for you!

    I have the same the same bag and had the same concern with the glazing a year or 2 after I had it. I bought in 2014 and was offered a credit and or repaired instantly. Sad you had to get a second round before it was repaired. My was in excellent condition and since repaired it’s better than ever. I had the side and flap reglazed and they cleaned the leather on the flap. I too got a brand new strap but I lied the older one as it was a little wider but the bag as a whole is very generous and can be packed or packed lightly and looks great. And it has feet on the bottom!!! Yessss. Multiple straps, feet, they repair with no issues and it’s a true classic. I was considering taking the credit but I can’t part with it. It’s my first LV bag and I bought the Josephine wallet and heat stamped that because I wanted them both to be my forever pieces. Even with the increased price offer now I’m keeping it. I just bought my first Jumbo Flap from CHANEL a few days ago and there’s not another bag I’m interested in. That says a lot about the functionality durability and that it’s an iconic of this bag. So glad you kept yours to!!!!

    What a wonderful review... Thanks so much! Amazing how many issues you had with the glazing. I wonder what the difference was with the typical LV glazing, and the glazing on the Metis Hobo. How odd and unfortunate that you experienced "melting". It is a gorgeous bag, and I completely understand why you wanted to keep it in your collection! Like I said, excellent review and much appreciated!

    I watched the video half way and I was about to write LV did you dirty in terms of customer service. There were so many more options they could have offered like immediately sending the bag off to be properly re-glazed, or keep the bag and eg gift you a $500 credit towards a next LV purchase, or refund you X% off the cost of the existing bag or return the bag and give you a full store credit of the cost of the bag (and then some) in order to buy a new bag of your choice. I felt the 1st SA didn't offer you full customer service and customer satisfaction with a resolution that was designed to remedy the situation and benefit you.
    I was so happy to watch further and see that you eventually got a repair and the bag was re-glazed. That should have automatically been the 1st option an SA offered.
    It's important that people are aware of a shop's returns and repair policies before you buy and not to be too grateful for a free repair. It's your right where there is a manufacturing fault.
    LV have a 5 year free repair policy. Also standing side by side with that is a consumer's legal rights. Even a $20 bag must be fit for purpose and meet a reasonably satisfactory standard of quality. If the same thing happened to a $20 bag, the options would be exactly the same with the free repair, a credit note or a refund. Except the time limit for allocating retailer/manufacturing fault (v wear and tear) would be much lower due to the lower quality. LV give 5 yrs for free repairs because of the boasted and expected high standard of quality and resilience of their products to live up to and the high price paid demands such.
    Oh and by the way, I have the exact same bag and have had it for years and I love it! 💕 . So I empathised totally with how you felt about not wanting to give it up, as to me it is a classic on so many levels. Luckily, I never had any problems with the glazing 🙏🏾.

    Such a beautiful bag ,I unfortunately just brought in my Melie hobo it’s only 1 year and 2 months old and the sides that fold had some cracking on the canvas ,the corners are folded and he flowers are actually starting to rub off ,I am glad you were able to get yours fixed ,I am sorry for all of your issues ,I truly hope the fix works this time , although I truly love my Melie hobo and don’t want to give it up ,when they give me their decision I won’t be getting the Melie Hobo again sadly ,for me once a bag has an issue I won’t get it again but I totally get your love for that bag ,I can’t keep mine because of the cracks on the side , I agree that I am not a fan of any of LV’s newer model bags ,I have decided if I am given a credit (waiting for the decision ) I will he getting a speedy b 30 in either the world tour edition or a mon monogram speedy bandouliere 30 ! Did you ask them what will happen in the future ,should those issues arise again on the Métis hobo ? Will they fix it again ? Or automatically issue you a store credit ? Thanks for sharing

I know exactly what you mean, when you say that you wouldn’t repurchase it again due to the issues. The mon Mono or world tour Speedy is an awesome choice. I did ask my CA if the glazing were to start melting again what would be my options then, she informed me that at that time I would more than likely get a store credit. 🤞🤞it doesn’t happen again. I miss watching your videos & can’t wait for your next upload💕💕

      LuxOfParis yes I will keep my fingers crossed for you ,I know how it feels to absolutely love a bag so much that you want to keep it so for your sake I pray you have no further issues with the glazing ,I just really wish LV would get their quality together ,it seems to be at an all time low at the moment I will definitely upload soon I will talk about my story once I know how it ends lol , I don’t know if mine is another recall issue but I guess I’m about to find out !     I got more compliments on this bag than any other bag I've ever owned. I also accepted a refund from LV with the recall. Now I regret my decision as I didn't know I had the option of reglazing.

    Hi LuxofParis!!! I am so sorry that I am running late!!! I got to see my grandson being born Lolol!!! Yess I cried lololol!!! I love your LV Métis hobo!!! It really does remind me of the Métis except it’s a hobo!!! I love how you can adjust the monogram strap!!! It looks good on you LuxofParis!!! I think I like this one more than the artisty ( sorry if I spelled that wrong) lololol!!! I love the deep pocket but not having a zipper is no problem at all!!! It still looks brand new!!! I’m glad that LV had a recall so that they can fix the glazing!!! I’m sorry that it stained your clothes!!!! Wow!!! I’m glad that they offered 300 dollars more but I soo understand your love for this bag!!! I’m so happy that they were able to reglaze this for you!!!       I checked mine, and noticed that the glazing was coming off in three small areas of the monogram strap. I’m so disappointed with LV! I will wait till it gets worse, since it is not melting, is like rubbing off . Like you, I love that bag, and I will probably ask for a repair or new strap. Thanks for this informative video.

      Thank you! They don’t have an official list out, however CA are either contact their clients, based on their purchase history, to inform them of any bags on their purchase history that is recalled. Another option, is to take the bag up your local boutique, so that they can assess it.

    Ohhhh! My heart sank when I watched your video! Do you know the dates effected by the recall? Also, if the bag is purchased preloved, will Louis Vuitton stand by their product as they did for you, either with a repair or trade? (Would be willing to pay for the repair if necessary.)       corikay at some LV stores you may have a hard time if you aren’t the original owner....also if your bag is more than a year old....I use to be a manager at a LV boutique while in college some years old. Some of my friends have had issues with bags that they didn’t purchase so it depends on the manager at the store and if your date code is over a year old then if it’s fixable you can pay for the repairs at your expense

My biggest concern was that LV would tell me that since I didn't purchase the bag directly from them, no assistance would be available. I did purchase the item from a well known and respected reseller who stands behind their authentications. Again, Thank you Cassandra for sharing this information!

      @corikay, it seems that it’s bag from 2013-2015. Regarding if the bag is purchased preloved , some boutiques will repair it, as long as you have the original receipt. It really depends on the store. Hope that helps! TFW💕

    I have one of these bags, I didn't use it much and did not know there was a recall. Can I still visit a LV and will they still help me? I had troubles with the strap and some of the glazing. I feel so stressed knowing there was a recall. Am I too late for them to assist me?

    Patina isn't wear and tear. Vachetta will patina even if it is never used, it will just take a lot longer to happen.

    How long did it take for LV to reglaze your bag? LV is telling me it will take 6 months. I have the same purse with the glazing issue.

      Mine took about 3 months. If they are sending it to Paris, it could take 6 months because the repair shop will close in the summer from July to end of August. So that could be why.

      No it’s not necessarily fake, it does happen with authentic LV hardware, overtime or either fades or tarnishes, which is normal wear & tear.

    Sad to hear LV quality is going down. I own several pieces (hobo bags, briefcases, scarfs, belts, key wallets, wallets)average 15-18 years old, not a single issue with any of them. So many reviews about the newer pieces with defects, recalls, sad seeing how much prices keep going up. I also think the quality of materials is not the same and new collections are, in my opinion, targeting younger more trendy inclined customers. About your repair, I’m glad you got such great experience with that boutique. I took my Tambour watch to the Houston Galleria Boutique just to replace its battery, they told me they had to send the watch to Paris (just for a new battery) and it took almost 4 months to get my watch back, after I called and called and called to get news about the status of my watch.

      Yes it is sad to hear about the quality issues, especially with the high price tags. Wow I can’t believe they had to send the watch to France for a new battery, you would think that they could replace the battery locally.
