Definately. Im a +30 old man, whit two toddlers. I dont have basically any free time between 6am-8pm. After 8 i often dont have any energy to go sit on the desk (where i sit my whole workday) and play games. With rog ally it is so easy to just play like 30min here and there or play on the bed before going to sleep. I have +2000€ gaming pc (7800x3d/7900xtx) in the workroom, but i use rog ally atleast 5 times more than that pc.
funny how some say this is bad... They made handheld smaller than todays gpu, which has display, buttons, speakers..... Are people actually becoming dumber the more technology advance or? In 2005 people were saying wow when you could go to internet and search anything, and now they expect handheld to run every possible game 120fps+, low temps, battery at least 5h. Make that console then
Wow at the 8:00 mark. I haven't seen that since Bloodborne. So these games have a setting where background animation run half the fps to ease load. Thing is, this never triggers when enemies are that close to you. I'm guessing the cpu bottleneck is triggering it. This happens in Bloodborne too.
It’s not bad. The VRR smooths out the framerate. 45FPS looks more like 60FPS on the actual device and there is frame generation as well which doubles the FPS. So 45FPS is more like 90FPS. Also don’t have to push it to 1080p it looks perfectly fine at 900p and even 720p.

the ROG Ally and the steam deck are a dream come true, being able to play any game on the go still feels unreal especially for the price
