2:11 fucking hell. that note progression/licks after that fast repeating lick is the most beautiful thing I have heard on a guitar. This is why Slash is my favorite guitarist. not because of sweet child o mine, but because of solos like this.
For real. Slash's improv stuff while not always unique (he repeated licks a LOT over his improved solos as any player) were incredible. He's still to this day playing some incredible stuff but this old school soul was just... I dont even know how to describe it, but your statement hits the nail on the head. Recordings are all great but these guitar solos where he puts his heart out there are truly what set the standard.

@@budderutter compare how he used to play in the 90s/00s and now and you'll get it. He just likes playing fast up and down the fretboard. He used to makd the guitar cry and tell you stories with his solos. Now they're half-assed...

I just mean that he's taking a way of playing which I personally don't like. It's an opinion. I think that he's soloing has gotten worse. But who am I to say, someone might enjoy that...
André Kiste I watch this a lot. It goes to show how much he’s distinguished himself from everyone else. Anyone can buy slash’s signature guitar and amp and they still won’t sound quite exactly like him. JCM and Niko Slash come close though
@@shreyjaiswal1683 Yeah. He's changed more recently and I think he's pretty generic these days but this older stuff is really unique and you can tell it comes straight from the soul and has a real edge to it while still sounding amazing.
