You're about a decade early with your James Cameron quip. He still made The Abyss, Terminator 2, and True Lies before Titanic. All excellent movies! That said, The Abyss was the true beginning of his obsession with the ocean.
I love these 2 movies as a package, deliver w different tones but are kind of a perfect pair. To that last comment about it being another 50 years to get home, Ripley was only gone that long after the first mission because her little lifepod thing drifted off course and no one found until those salvagers found it. I think the trip back home should be months. Especially since this she made it back the main carrier and all the resources. My favorite bit from the directors cut is that they include the bit about her having had a daughter who lived a full life and died before she was picked up at the beginning of this movie. It reinforces her attachment to Knute in a sweet way. Great reaction, always love folks revisited the oldies but goodies.
Love your absolute shock at the queen,..in the theater, it was stone quiet, you could've heard a mosquito cough, I swear, we were all shocked, and enthralled as the camera followed the, huh birth canal all the way to the source, the queen,..we were all you know awaiting the reveal of where the eggs were coming from,..super great action packed movie,..Sigourney was nominated for an Oscar, I so think she should've won,..just the nomination was awesome, for a scifi movie, that you normally expect to get nominated for special effects, sound or cinematography, or costume design, was quite impressive, for the acting in a scifi to be recognized like that, so glad Sigourney did that for scifi,..do keep going,..many don't really like Alien 3, some.of us do,..also The Hidden, is a fast action packed one too, and comical,..check it,..loved the reaction,..Godspeed, Peace ✌
The Alien franchise is oddly genre bending. 1 is a horror/thriller, 2 is action/horror, 3 is a moral drama/horror, 4 is a scifi/disaster movie. Im not sure of any framchise where the sequels shift the genre around as much and it still works
Thanks, Two! 👾 The saga ends here for me. I've seen all the others, they each have points to commend... but this one is where the story ends (in my headcanon). The prequels: PROMETHEUS (2012) and ALIEN: COVENANT (2017) are pretty good and delve into questions I had since the first movie. 👾 The young actor who played 'Newt' is Carrie Henn... now a teacher, she's very active on Twitter and often attends associated conventions. 👾 In the extended version it's explained that 'Ripley' originally had a young daughter who grew old and died while 'Ripley' was in hypersleep, which further explains why she became attached to 'Newt' so quickly. #TwoReacts #JamesCameron #Aliens #Aliens1986
I'm with you, the third film should be avoided in particular since it framkly shits on the ending of this movie from a great height. The later movies (imo) are all crap to a lesser or great extent. Whether you like the prequels or not depends on your tolerance for contrivance and associated bollocks
A guy called Alien Theory does videos based on the comic and it explains a lot of what the movie left out on. If your curious and Newts tale is also a big help.
"Aliens": Third Officer Ripley has been found and taken to Gatway station. What will The Weyland-Yutani Suits over her blowing up the "Nostromo." 5:54 Ripley has just shown that she's a working class dog, just like them. She isn't a front office paper-pushing drone, like Carter Burke.;) 7:34 In 1986, I wondered how Ripley was able to "get close, quickly" to Rebecca," unlike the female Marines. A reviewer said: "Sisterhood!" I bought the Special Edition Laserdisc(!) and confirmed that Ripley had been a parent. 15:37 They went out like Klingon warriors. 19: 37 You're making the same mistake as Pvt. Hudson: underestimating Xenomorph intelligence. 20:27 It's not over, yet. 22:12 Where did you get that idea? Normal long distance space travel takes only months. As with other franchises, if you don't have a starting point, you have "Hollyweird creativity.";)
You're crazy, most people like the second one. It was really good it was action pack. I loved the Queen and the whole night. The first one was boring. You only had one alien back to me to zone
I totally disagree with you. This is when and most people agree with me, that second one was better than the first 1. It had action like you wouldn't believe get away from her, you b****, I stood app in the theaters and I was like oh my God, what's going on with me? That was amazing from beginning to end but Hey, everybody likes what they like the first one was slow and had a lower budget and very basic. I need to see more aliens. I need to see more people get killed the personalities of all the people in the army. Whatever they were, the Marines truly truly amazing For me, the first one was what it was, but it was nothing like the second one

Thank you for speaking my mind 😅🫡

19:35, she just saw Ripley escape in one, now when she sees the other door open, 'Queenie' smiles because she now knows how it works.

Ridley Scott set up the context, but Cameron killed this, same as T2.....The character of Ripley is amazing, a role model for both men and women.

This one is a before watch “like.”
Actually, the countdown is perfectly in time. I know, because it seemed too long for me too and I stopwatched it. 😂 They were spot on with it.

Glad you liked the first one better than this one. Me too for the same reasons. Both are good movies. Nice reaction, Two.
07:15 he didn't miss the shots. Hicks saw it was a girl and puahed the gun away 😊
Illeeeins??
Hahahaha. Love the accent.

Unfortunately the little girl does not survive in the third installment she dies in staces
Reported for SPOILERS...just kidding...but still... 😜😢
staces = stasis
