Joffrey doesn't need convincing. If you remember Littlefinger conversation with Margaery Tyrell in a tent after Renly's murder she told him that she 'wants to be The Queen'. And Littlefinger also met Tywin in Harrenhall where Arya was serving wine for them. We saw a start of that conversation where Tywin asked Littlefinger if Margaery still wants to be queen... So all in all this scene is just an act in order to put Sansa aside with some dignity to the crown as all the things have already been settled secretly by houses Lannister and Tyrell. Tywin organised this marriage in order to make alliance with them and get their help against at least Stannis forces.

I always hated the "Only love makes you that crazy" line, because, like... Jonathon started throwing punches because STEVE WAS INSULTING HIS WHOLE FAMILY, like, Nancy had nothing to do with it lmfao??? Like he was probably also upset about them calling her a slut, but the reason he started punching was because he was reacting to the comments about HIS family. I absolutely adore Stranger Things and how skilled the writers are in making everything connect, but that particular part was just really forced and silly lol.

Great reaction! I saw this in the Theater and cried my eyes out. Normally this type of reaction to a movie would keep me from going back to watch again where everyone can see me get so emotional, but with this one I didn't give a shit, I went back and watched it 2 more time (3 total) and then bought it as soon as I could. A couple fun facts you might appreciate: 1) The budget for this movie was a tiny $25 Million - Freaking Insane!! 2) They filmed this movie in only 38 days due to the COVID lockdown that occurred. Also unbelievable but true. 3) OFC it won every Oscar, but some ppl are pretty pissed Best Supporting Actress went to Jamie Lee instead of Stephanie Hsu (the daughter). The explanation is that the Academy was doing a 'make-up award' type situation since they've never given Jamie Lee an Oscar. I also agree it should have gone to Stephanie. 4) Not sure if you realized it, but Ke Huay Quon (Waymond) was the actor who played Data and Shortround in Goonies and Indiana Jones respectively. He gave up acting for about 40 years due to a lack of roles for Asian actors in Hollywood. His Oscar acceptance speech is worth watching. 5) The S&M guy who gets spanked is played by one of the Directors (Daniels). The 2 'butt plug' actors are actually the stunt coordinators in the movie. When she got there they didn't tell her that it was going to be fatal. they didn't really give her a choice so as much as Joel was selfish so were the fireflies. They kills all of the bastards of Robert so that no one can try and prop them up as a rightful heir now that the parentage of Cersei's kids is in question. To most folks they were legit but now that rumor that they are the product of incestuous union of Jamie and Cersei is coming to light, any one with baratheon blood could be propped as a figurehead to rally around. It is pragmatic but evil; Joffrey is a dickhead.

Ok movie that make no sense to the plot. The Death Star has a fatal flaw made on purpuse. A bunch of rebels will die in order to get it. Then the Rebels can master a plan to take it down. Wonderful. And how can we do it? Easy: we need to stall an Imperial Fleet and get wrecked while a guy blessed with the force (we have a really shortage of that at that moment) put a couple of missiles to the most riciculous spot in the most guarded imperial station (yes the flaw is in there, very clever) guided and protected by another beast ghost use forcer. It will fill in backstory on every character, how Robert got his throne, ned's backstory & plentiful more. It will answer basically every question you have so far, and will fill you in and make you prepared about stuff mentioned in later episodes. The entire thing is on youtube for free without copyright, watch them after you finish a season!

Sansa didn't do that to herself... she is only 13 years old and brought up to be a princess. That's all she's ever been taught to be. Things went wrong and now she is stuck in a bad situation with noone by her side.. She was definitely about to push him. The hound saved her from death by stopping her from doing it.

The incident with the wine merchant and Jorah's pardon: I've never thought that scene is well filmed. He has everything he has ever wanted in his hand, a chance to go home a free man, to perhaps regain his lands, maybe reconcile with his father at the Wall. But he looks across and sees what's about to happen to Dany, and he gives up the dream of Westeros without another thought. It's a momentous moment but filmed so flatly that some people don't even notice it's happened. Do you think it's better for Jon to hear the news from an accurate, authority figure like the Lord Commander, or bit by bit from Night's Watchman who've heard some gossip at the local brothel? Episode 8 is an amazing piece of scriptwriting from George RR Martin. At the start, Robb hasn't even called the banners. By the end, the bannermen have marched to Winterfell, and moved across country to engage the Lannisters, and have had time for several battles. All on foot. The whole episode covers months. As to Varys . . . remember when Arya was chasing cats among the dragon skulls, and she overheard Varys talking to someone Littlefinger called 'a foreign dignitary'? That person has a very memorable voice. That visit should tell you quite a lot about Varys. But he does ultimately serve the country. The scene with Maester Aemon and Jon is a masterpiece of acting. Peter Vaughan was a British character actor, and many of us of a certain age have been seeing him all our lives. Excellent writing, beautifully acted. It's like he's giving an acting lesson, and you can see the effect in Kit Harrington's eyes. "Who was that guy?" Poor old Yoren - I have no idea how people forget him. He exchanges jokes with Tyrion at Castle Black; he travels down towards King's Landing with Tyrion, because he's going to get new 'recruits' for the Wall - until Cat Stark arrests the little Lannister at the Inn. Then he rides for the city, almost killing his horse, to give the Hand the news: "It's your wife, my Lord. She's taken the Imp!" And he's stuck around all these months, presumably to see if he can help in any way. And people forget him. Great reaction, good editing, nice style! Ands some interesting predictions too . . .
