The problem with the ride, currently, is that not only is the ride in desperate need of a refurbishment. But the ride use to spin quite a bit. That’s why there are a few black light rooms. Some effects just flat-out don’t work anymore, because you are supposed to be slightly dizzy when the cat is spinning on the wall. It’s supposed to give off a 3D effect.
Such a strong word. But yes it is the only reason I could go to horror nights if they made a cat In Hat maze lol. Rip ride rockit is pretty bad and needs demolition.
I went to gradbash this year and when I rode this ride for the first time it smelled like piss, the entire ride it smelled like piss and in person it’s all either closed in or very liminal space kind of vibe. Absolutely terrifying and it feels way creepier when you are riding in the front seat💀the animatronics barely working or the color on them fading makes it worse
only other mention I can find of someone calling it liminal. I completely agree. it's so spaced out and ominous. horrible smell in the waiting area too. lord
You guys really don’t like this one? I went on it a few weeks ago, and I couldn’t help but love the cart’s fast paced movements and the fun colors and backgrounds. The animatronics are outdated but everything goes by so quickly it made me feel like I was in an actual cartoon.
Doesn’t really seem horrifying to me just a normal kids ride like Alice in wonderland at Disney, however it seems extremely boring, but a ride I wouldn’t wanna not go on if I was there if that makes sense: boring, would wanna experience, wish it was better
I love this ride. I rode it 4 times on my visit last month. There’s no way they can get rid of the most recognizable character from Seuss landing. I think they should never overhaul the ride and let it fall into further chaos. That’s the true meaning of the cat in the hat. The only thing I’d be okay changing is changing the cat animatronics to the Mike Meyer version of cat in the cat. Only way to improve the ride.
@@MaxThrills I agree with you this guy keeps overreacting to rides that aren’t even scary also thing 1 and thing 2 are suppose to be funny like in the book but unlike the film.
"the cat in the hat story is basically pedophillia" okay I draw the line here, first of all you're scared of a kids ride and then compare a children's story to pedophillia? This is the largest L and hardest cope I've ever seen in the theme park community.
What you should understand now is that Theodore Geisel, aka Dr. Suess himself, was never an endearing figure to begin with. His reversion to children's books was all a cover up to his more "adult" themed books, such as "The Seven Lady Godivas" and "The Pocket Book of Boners", as well as many racist illustrations he did in his career. Jim Henson was in a similar mindset with his reluctance towards children's media. In fact, when you look past all the corporate gruff and the flagship names of the creators of flawed children's media, Mr. Rogers is the "purest". Fred Rogers never acted dirty towards children OR adults. He even stood up to the Senate one time! Bottom line is: don't let your kids become attached to named I.P. unless you know you, as an adult, can trust the name.

@burntalphabetsoup6772
There are, apparently, effects that stopped working years ago and they haven't fixed them.
@@Optimegatrongodzilla That’s a shame.
@@burntalphabetsoup6772 Yeah, it really is! Disney wouldn't let that sort of thing slide with one of their rides.

Here after this ride was featured in Eddy Burback’s Margaritaville video.
Dang, you guys are telling me Halloween Horror Nights isn’t so scary. You are such scaredy cats of this amazing ride
The thing that bothers me is that the 2-D illustrations don’t translate well to 3-D
I had the joy of riding this in person a week ago I knew how janky it was I went for shits and giggles
I got stuck on the ride then went for a spin
When I whent on the ride the fish had 1 eyebrow and only 1 🤣
