- The red carpet is rolled out for US President Joe Biden at Downing Street, and is briefly occupied by No. 10's chief mouser Larry the cat, before the feline is taken back inside by staff, to boos from assembled photographers. President Biden is meeting UK Prime Minsiter Rishi Sunak, and will later meet King Charles III at Windsor Castle, as the president makes his way to a NATO summit in Lithuania.

Larry is about 16 because according to Wikipedia he was born 2007, I hope Larry will be alive for many more years! He is a good kitty!

Well, the vicar and his wife (years ago) had a cat who was 21 years old but blind.....however, this lovely cat used to sit by the window taking her daily sunshine.

I don't see the problem with being greeted by the chief mouser. If I were president, I'd find it charming. I love cats. And I know Biden has both a dog and a cat.
@@CB394 My uncle visits regularly, has a large adolescent doggo who didn't get socialized as a puppy so she's still learning the rules, and my dad's an invalid who uses a walker rather than a wheelchair (house is too small for a 'chair.) I always feel kinda bad when the dog tries to follow close behind my dad out of innocent curiosity and I have to cut her off so she doesn't trip him up by trying to weave in between his legs and under the walker.
My cat, on the other hand, sleeps at the top of the stairs, my mom has a busted leg but sleeps up here as opposed to on the ground floor, and the cat's almost sent _me_ down the stairs so many times that I'm convinced it's part one of her portion of the Catto Global Uprising.
