Hell yeah, it was hot but awesome. Of the 4 tracks I've been to, including the Glen, I don't think I've ever had close as good of a time as I did there on Sunday. Cheers from Kansas!
Went to the IMSA race in 2019, had a blast, Road America delivers some of the best racing in the world, let alone the US. Natural terrain road courses are the best there is in my opinion. I'll go to a Cup race here if RA remains on the calender.
@@XombieX Not just that, but this is the only other TRUE road course where pit road is backwards. (I know that Indy RC is backwards as well, but it's a roval.) The environment looks similar too.
Nascar looks so amazing on road courses!! At Road America they look even better! Unlike most other race cars I've seen here, these cars have high power and less aerodynamics. This makes them look so amazing while running!
I absolutely love NASCAR circuit races. I can't imagine the difficulty level involved with manual transmission on all of those turns. Not even F1/IMSA/FIA/GT racing use stick-shift and clutch anymore. No pack racing, no team pushing, just pure driving skill. Props to the drivers and crew.
@@toby7291 I hear ya. Bit of a coin flip in my eyes depending on the set up. I went to Indy @Mid-Ohio this year and last. Same seats both times. Last year there was no livescreen within view of me and pretty much spent the whole race enjoying the fly-bys without having a clue what was going on. Race end just came out of nowhere. This year I went back tho and they had a screen set up. Way different experience. Not as good as watching every crevice of the race with your own eyes at an oval but being able to follow the race when its not infront of you along with everyone around you doing the same all pumped up, the atmosphere makes it worth the money and time compared to watching it at home.

Am I the only one that noticed both Kyle Bush and Denny Hamlins green flag pit stops just before the stage breaks , the front tire changer CLEARLY only hit four lug nuts? 31.00 1:18.00 1:20:00 I guess they only matter after the race.
I would love to see RA add more big screens and PA system around the track. Some places fans do not know where the cars are until the cars are on them.
The field did something in this race that they should never let Chase do on a road course: Get in a groove. When Chase gets in a groove, there are only a few drivers on the track who can match his speed and consistency on road courses.

I'm in Alaska so my live watch time is from about 5:00 pm (Eastern Time) on Sundays. It would be nice on the internet rebroadcast to SEE the side notes ie: the hose connection or the RV winner outfits etc.
There are three or four guys in the field who know how to optimize the braking zones along the race, carrying them as close as possible onto the turns vertexes, regardless brakes fading and tires wear and the best of them on it is Elliot.
@NASCAR How come the races are always edited!?? It's missing the race analysis I like to see and the National Anthem and driver invocations at the beginning. It's like almost every race is uploaded this way from this year and last year for the most part, but not all of them. Is it due to Copyright? I just wish you could upload the races as they actually aired. I love to see everything. Couldn't you keep uploading them like the Pocono races from last week? The Pocono Xfinity and Cup Series had the NBCSN Logo and sponsors on them just the same as watching it Live. I wish you could continue uploading them that way. I don't like EDITING lol. I enjoy watching these races later because I don't have Cable, but I want to see everything from beginning to end. Especially the post race interviews and footage. Maybe someone could answer this for me. I get people like to sometimes get to the action quicker but that's what a fast forward button is for! I want to watch the races in their ENTIRETY.

The crowd! First thing I noticed! Then I remember the crowd at COTA! I definitely think this is where stock cars belong, on a road course.
I’m amazed the crowds these road course races get. I have no interest going to a race that I can’t see the entire track.

When RA was announced for 2021, I had a feeling they would a crowd of 100K. The fans have been waiting for this for a long time.

I was near the finish line when Chase won there. I even have two photos that I might donate to Road America so I can tell people I was at this race.

Love NASCAR on Road courses. This cars car travell nose to tail without losing drag, so overtakes are very posible. Nice race!

I sat in turn 3 and I fell asleep in stage 3. You can see the cars for 8 seconds every 2 minutes.
